It was a really great show, but then they wrote off Morgan Fairchild who had multiple personalities and killed off popular characters - played by Daniel Greene and Laura Johnson - in an earthquake. While Mariska Hargitay added some spark the year she was on, the show never really recovered.

It was a really well done program and kept us watching each week. Very professional acting by stars like Jane Wyman and even Lana Turner. Very good show!

Never really got into this one. They basically tried to copy Dallas (on the same network no less), but it just didn't work.

I loved all of the nighttime soaps, but "Falcon Crest" was and will always be my favorite. It has everything -- a beautiful theme song, great characters, gorgeous scenery, terrific writing, and a cast headed by the classiest actress who ever lived -- Jane Wyman. Just when you think her heart's completely made of stone, she shows a vulnerability that could break your own heart. And who can forget the time "Melissa" balked at selling "Angela" her harvest and demanded to know what would happen if she didn't? "Angela" said, "Then you'll be the raisin queen of the Tuscany Valley" as she handed her a pen. Perfect!

Falcon Crest was the best TV show ever. I am from London, England and have every episode on video but my tapes are worn out now. I need repeats. No other show has, ever since, had cliffhangers like FC. The music was awesome too, especially in the 7th season. Chase's will, Richard and the 13, all made for compulsive viewing. Richard & Maggie were the best love story. Why this soap cannot have a reunion like the others is beyond me? I agree with an earlier request here. I request too - PLEASE - can some channel out there do a follow up. FC - A New Vintage is brilliant by the way. I cannot believe I only just found out about this website. I love how fans can exchange views. I would love some off stage footage from anyone in USA (or UK - eg the 1986/7 BBC Open Air behind the scenes special)

FALCON CREST is the BEST drama series ever developed for Network television. The characters are real, the stories are fun, and the music is great. Probably the best TV theme song to come along in years. Haven't heard anything so great in a long time. Thank God for SOAPNET. Angela was the best!!! How 'bout a reunion movie CBS?

Falcon Crest was one of the truly classic television shows. Blazing in-roads in storytelling and characterization, Falcon Crest built on the popularity of the nighttime soap (originated by DALLAS) and developed a fiercely loyal following of fans who loved the serene combination of love, laughter and tears. Even 10 years later, in an unofficial continuation of the series at http://anewvintage.com, the lives of our favorites (Angela, Lance, Richard, Emma) live on...and Falcon Crest fans around the world can rejoice!

Many of characters passed thru one vinyard. The vinyard was known as Falcon Crest. I just would like to thank SoapNet for re-running the show from the start! Also, I would like to say the show itself, is the best damn drama ever... Better than Dallas, Knots, and even 90210! :) All I keep dreaming about is "REUNION...REUNION!" Please someone, bring some closuer to the show! The way it ended, just didnt seal alot of loose ends. SOMEONE - ANYONE - PLEASE, HELP MAKE A REUNION!

Falcon Crest was an elegant soap, different from its peers like Dallas and Dynasty. The setting and characters were actually more "realistic" and the series felt more like an epic mini-series than a television program. Jane Wyman brought professionalism and class, elevating the series to a higher level. With crisp stories and brilliant humor, the show will always remain "vintage".

It was a joy to watch the fabulous characters of Angela, Richard and Maggie. The humorous comments between mother and son have never been equaled. And the wonderful chemistry between Richard and Maggie made them the most interesting couple of Falcon Crest. Simply the best television show ever.

The fantastic acting from the entire cast of this show, Jane Wyman, David Selby, Susan Sullivan, and Ana Alicia to name a few, made the characters so real that you believed and felt what they were going through. These actors were great in their craft and made the show real.

During its best seasons, you couldn't beat Falcon Crest for its fast paced storylines, the wit and interactions between the characters and the spellbinding characters. And Richard really rocked!!!
