Such interesting and "thoughtful" reviews. Like one of the reviewers, I too have watched "EA" over the years and all I can say is that he's consistent in his preachings. Funny thing is, on balance, EA is only as bad as many of the other charlatans broadcasting on Sunday morning. Sincere? He sure is...can't take that away from him. Committed? Absolutely; he's in it for at least the money and maybe for helping people. Where he comes unglued with me (a non-theist) is that I don't buy the whole religion thing. None of it makes sense...base commitment to 'the one true god' on 'faith'? There is nothing EA preaches that I believe in, however; he's a compelling speaker even if he is not a smooth as some of the younger evangelists out there fleecing people. EA's ministry in Africa, for example; on balance not a bad thing except when he takes a collection....the people are dirt poor to begin with. Actually, the Ernest Angley Hour has won professional broadcasting awards so it really shouldn't be in someone’s "Worst TV Shows" category as that is only their opinion based on their own beliefs or should we say lack thereof. Certainly the Ernest Angley hour causes discomfort, not only to atheists, but to so-called Christians who don't really believe in Christ's message that we can live free from sin. I've watched the Ernest Angley Hour to carefully study to see if what Angley preaches is really from the Bible or his own opinions. What I've found is refreshingly simple; he indeed is preaching the way the apostles preached. He prays for the sick as the Bible instructs and lives the way he preaches. I don't blame anyone for being skeptical, as I admittedly was, but it is ignorant of those who are critical to not really study what he preaches to see if it matches The Great Commission. Angley is like the Jerry Springer of televangelists.  He spends most of his time hollering at the audience, and the rest smoking people between the eyes to "heal" them.Of course its the usual shuck and jive fund-raising pitch, but Angley is so bizarre he's sickly fascinating to watch.

A truly ancient fundamentalist that I sometimes catch while flipping channels here in Indiana, where charlatans like this are often treated as philosopher kings or potentates anyway.. One of those ancient guys who are in denial and - it's one thing to be old and dye your hair like Reagan did, I mean at least it was his hair- but this guy has a very, very bad and obvious hairpiece. While in a weird, contrarian way I figure that if you've lost your hair, you might as well either stay bald or get a really bad rug instead of one that might look real but everyone knows is fake, this rug is just ludicrous...The usual nonsense- casting out demons, the affected Elmer Gantry voice, touching people who do an obvious flop like in basketball and land ten feet away, the guys on stage there to ' help out'  who can barely keep from bursting out in laughter, the testimonials from imaginary people in Africa, or Scotland, or  frigging CHINA for crying out loud!
