I have CNBC on at the elliptical machine when I exercise, because they have a good ticker crawl that is on during the commercials. Because I'm always listening to something else via my iPhone, I've seen Erin Burnett co-host her Squawk show every morning for months, but I've never heard her speak. As a result, I think I am uniquely qualified to provide a rating.

Erin Burnett Co-Anchor of CNBCs Squawk on the Street and the Anchor of ,Street Signs FALLS FLAT. For the first and only time in her perfect career, this absolutely brilliant mind and personality had a embarrasing performance while covering Dubai. Shock and dismay fell upon her fanatical fan base of passionate skiers. Watching the always perfect Burnett over rotate her upper body, get in the back-seat and crash numerous times was for me, simply too much to bear. This writer cried. I simply broke down and cried for her. BUT THIS PERFORMANCE WAS NOT MS. BURNETTs FAULT!!! The current state of the economy, coupled with cutbacks in staffing, has apparently hit Ski Dubai. As with IntraWest, Vail Resorts and other ski industry players, Ski Dubai appears not immune to the worst economy in 70 years. Why else would Ms. Burnett be thrown onto the runs of Ski Dubai without a private ski instructor? Ms. Burnett, left on her own, floundering in front of billions of her fans, was a low poin... you know I live in Miami, and I gotta say Erin is maybe a 4 at best. So all you guys that say she unbelievably hot and pretty, I feel sorry for your lives. Besides that, she an Idiot! I can't freakin' stand the stupid idiotic rants of this dumb chic who's not even attractive... at least If I have to listen to stupid rants please be worth it by being hot.

Tiki Barber had some charisma in the dress-me-up episode of Project Runway, but Burnett would be an even better choice, since she has excellent fashion sense: vibrant solids in the old business suit, a garment that I'd never thought could look good. One of TV's snazziest dressers. Very nice complexion, too. And did I tell you how much I appreciated her calling Bush a monkey? And being powerful enough to get away with it, too? Nice!

she looks fabulous, but lacks the business sense that Maria has. She will do well in presenting and interviews with preset questions. I like her for her looks and cool attitude, but somehow did'nt approve of her writings on what it would take for a man to impress her. (Her views flew out of a hollywood flick)

CNBC cannot be taken seriously in the financial reporting world when they put cutsey, perky and pert young women such as Erin Burnett in major talking head roles. Her gig is her persona to be a bubbly brunette with just the right amount of airhead triteness for the male viewer to stay tuned. That strategy works for the show as well as the continual rude interruptions of the FAST MONEY group who talk over each other for a full hour. It's all fluff and carnival like- real investors just shake their heads recognizing how Wall Street business coverage has devolved.

Erin is an idiot lacking in basic jusgment and self control. Her comments on Chinese toys and calling the President of the United States a monkey are proof of what damage a slow thinker can do. Her report tonight on the NBC Nightly News reminded me of a NASCAR fan describing the freight train that just went through their trailer park. Her mouth was gaping wider than her nostrils (no small feat) as she gave a "report" that made no sense and explained nothing to the viewers. I hated it so much I went online to find her email address so that I could tell her to go back to her job a TGIFridays but instead found blog after blog consisting of people who hate her or guys who want to nail her. Count me in the first column. She's useless.

I cannot understand Erin's popularity. She is well educated and has worked at Goldman Sachs so her inane on-air persona must be attributed to the "happy talk" direction that infects many morning news shows. There appears to be a belief that talking fast, engaging in vacuous repartee with a co-host (in this case, Mark Haines) and having an interview style that at times makes the interviewer appear ignorant of basic facts is a winning formula for ratings success. Unfortunately for viewers like me it appears to be true.

Attractive, but a bit of an airhead. She frequently cites statistical facts that have long since proven to be urban legend, and tries to sell old news as something new. Clearly, CNBC was in need of some "eye candy" when they hired this one.

She works well with Mark Haines and Jim Cramer. Her questions play off the responds of interviewee. She seems to make both co-workers and guests fill at ease.

Burnett is not "Maria 2.0." She's much, much better and she beats Maria in every category - looks, competence, intelligence etc. She likes like a classy gal whereas Maria looks like and sounds like some loud, overdecorated housewife from Long Island. Is she Amy Fisher's sister?!! :-)

Erin Burnett is flat-out hot! Her presentation of information is clear and concise, making her a great host. It's too bad she's stuck with old-man Haynes; I'd rather see her with Kernen and Faber all the time. By the way, how old is she and is she married? In comparison to Maria, there isn't one; Maria babbles and continually interupts her guests with the rapid-fire, annoying questions. I'm suprised she's never been slapped!

I just watched Erin's Stop Trading segment with Jim Cramer and she came across as an insecure lightweight. Her quips every other second, such as "..the retailer disguised as a hedgefund, Sears, Jim". Her "off-the-cuff" comments sound canned and rehearsed.

There are two types that excel in front of a camera, one tortured and tormented, the majority, the other close to what Maslow described, Erin, hears, the source... Really Outstanding!

I find it hard to believe this girl went to Boarding school as a kid in Delaware. The results are that she is very successful and well traned and looka like she is now having fun. Erin deserves 5 stars for she can handle any problem with the greatest of ease. I wonder what her date of birth is and the amount of money she is making. More on her childhood would be appreciated.

Erin is the foxiest babe on TV. The worst thing about her is her wardrobe. Anything bright and shiny just directs attention away from her good looks. She looks best without all the distractions. I hope someone else is dressing her so she can fire them! The worst outfit so far is that bright green thing she is wearing today Dec 6 2006. Even eye makeup diminishes her natural beauty. I love her to the max, but not some of those outfits! Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't toss her out in the street because of her jeans! Rixter

I think Ms. Burnett is fantastic. Not only is she, as others have rightly (if perhaps a bit inappropriately) pointed out, absolutely beautiful, but her delivery, energy and her occasional good-humored touch are completely enchanting. Her intelligence, style and, yes, looks remind me of certain prep-school girls at university. But what I think is most important to point out, especially if they are responsible for informing us, is that Ms. Burnett is dazzlingly intelligent, has razor-sharp instincts and handles the information -- and the television -- with clarity, confidence and mastery. I only recently realized who she and several other CNBC stars were and have been impressed overall by all of her colleagues. But she is my favorite. A few additional thoughts: I am surprised that there is no fan club (although there may be one informally gathered around the water coolers in ... Read more
