Sun Jul 26 2009I agreed with those guys posted, it is truly terrible, drink ink like water, even you put a new ink in there are still pob up message change inks. best word to discribe do not buy it or even it is free when you buy computer.

Thu Jun 18 2009Buyer Beware! Yes, the CX9400 has a great entry price point and yes it's funtional. However, after six months of use with once a month (sometimes twice a month) trips for new cartridges at $60 to $70 a pop, I felt really scammed and angry. Last night cyan (one of four cartridges) went dry again, the printer then prevents youfrom printing anything, including balck and white, and couldn't receive a fax I was expecting. Refusing to give Epson one more penny for ink, I threw the printer in the garbage in an angry rage. As the other posts point out, this is an engineered scam by Epson, don't fall into their tangled web.

Tue Dec 09 2008Print quality and all of that is fine, but this thing is an "ink hog". I usually only use black, but it decided that I needed cyan and wouldn't allow me to print in black (or at all) until I put a new cyan in. That is just crazy! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY--THE LAST PRINTER I HAD FOR 5 YEARS, ALSO AN EPSON AND WAS THE BEST, SO I THOUGHT TO GO WITH A UPDATED PROCDUCT WOULD WORK THE SAME, BUT I WAS VERY WRONG

Tue Nov 18 2008This is the worst printer I have ever had. I have had nothing but problems with it. It drains the ink and is very loud. Now I have to restart it every time I print because it says paper jam. Also, the alignment is terrible but I can't fix it because it keeps needing to be restated. This is junk!

Tue Sep 30 2008I love this printer. I faxed for the first time today and it worked fine (even though I am out of all color ink). I have not had any of the problems others describe. Granted, the printer is a little rickety and the paper was difficult to load at first, but I got the hang of it. It's nice to look at and I've never had a problem with it. It prints great, even offers reverse pagination, which I love for when I have a long report to print. It saves time. I just haven't experienced any of the problems others describe. I've replaced the ink twice since I got it, went fine. I think it's a great unit for the price.

Sat Sep 13 2008First off the printer does work, good print quality, faxing, etc. However, there are somb big issues with this all in one. First - it BURNS through ink, I mean BURNS through it. Boy did I make a mistake listening to the advice from the guy at Staples who claimed the printer used ink more efficiently than other models. Secondly - this one is the stake in the heart. This printer won't let you fax, scan or print in BLACK only, if one of the other colors runs out. Yes that is right, your printer, won't let you just use your BLACK ink to print in BLACK if one of the other 5 colors is out, nor will it let you fax something - even though you don't need to use any ink at all for that. Sure windows lets you select black only, but your printer calmly sits there doing nothing, telling you to replace magenta in order to resume printing, faxing, etc... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? Save yourself some aggravation and buy something else.

Fri Sep 05 2008I would avoid for now all Epson All-in-Ones with a Scanner Function. Google "EPSON Scan cannot be started" you will get over 34,000 hits and if you use the "" you will get over 300 hits. A numbr were/are due to Vista driver issues but this problem is still on going. Your Epson will work fine and then one day out of the blue you won't be able to scan anymore like mine did this week. All the other functions will work. Epson tech support is clueless that this is an existing problem. They will have you plug and unplug, uninstall and reinstall the drivers, stop and start the WIA service and try to scan from Windows Paint. They do not have a toll-free number for tech support in the USA. Their techs read from scripts and occasionally put you on hold to get info, probably from a higher level tech.
