Epicurious is usually one of the first sites I visit when I'm looking for recipes. Though many of the recipes require more effort than I'm usually willing to spend on a normal family dinner, there are also plenty of simple ones, and I have yet to try a recipe that wasn't edible at minimum. Most have been delicious. I recommend reading the recipe reviews as well as the recipe itself, since they often have useful tips and substitution/additions from people who have actually cooked the recipe that can make the recipe even tastier.

Downloaded it and have used it quite a bit for a quick meal or even planning out my week. I really like the grocery list feature, as well as adding favorites. Downsides are that search is limited, and when your scrolling through a section of food you can't mark your place when you leave off. This means you can scroll through a hundred recipes in the Asian Food section, and then have to rescroll through them again to get to the place you left off. Also, this app has been reviewed in an article entitled "Cooking Apps for You and Your iPad" http://www.suite101.com/content/cooking-apps-for-you-and-your-ipad-a353256

I like this website as there are a lot of recipes and they usually turn out pretty tasty. What more could one ask for!

First and foremost, the recipes on Epicurious are generally more appropriate for dinner parties and special occasions, but since that's the only time I need to refer to a recipe anyway, works for me. Another thing worth noting: it's is a fantastic resource desk-side, but I like to sometimes check a recipe on my phone when i'm out shopping (because seriously, who prints things anymore? :P), and at that point this site is a huge failure. It's not mobile friendly in the least, and the load time is painful. If i happen to remember to email a recipe to my phone first that works, but I often like to check out what produce looks the best before I decide what to make, so at that point the site kinda fails for me. The search could use some work, but overall, as long as you're browsing on a computer (and probably on a broadband connection as well, I'd imagine), you can usually find something good after sorting by rating after you get your results. From a content perspective alone, I'd give th... Read more

I have used this site for years, but when I started having problems with my recipe box, I found there is no link to click to contact them. I've sent emails when I COULD find an address to forward questions to, but I've never received any reply, nor were they returned as having an incorrect address. SO, I thought I'd remove my email address from their mailing list, but there's no option for that either! I then looked at Conde Net, and again, no option for technical assistance. Right now I'm ready to never vist epicurious.com again. That's sad because some of my favorite recipes have come from this site, but they gotta back them up with technical support - or at least the good manners to respond to people's questions.

Epicurious is a really nice site for cooks. The best feature is the recipe search where you can access more than 12,000 recipes from "Bon Appetit" and "Gourmet." The recipes include ratings and comments full of advice and information from home cooks who have tried the recipes. I have used several recipes from the site with excellent results. There are lots of other resources available, too, including food and wine dictionaries and information on techniques in the kitchen. If you're looking for any kind of food or cooking-related information, start at Epicurious.

Yeah! This is definitely my favorite Internet culinary site. I love to cook, and this site made by the Bon Appetit magazine people, is really cool. It has all sorts of gourmet recipes cataloged for you to find easily, and it also features a food dictionary and special articles that make you feel like a famous chef yourself.

Good looking site and I'm sure it's got plenty of recipes to choose from but unfortunately I've never had the patience to wait through the freaking download!! Jesus I must've clicked on four different recipes and not one of them came up before I decided to skip it which was after about a 3 minute wait for each. Clean it up!

The Epicurious site is a very interesting cuisine site containing all sorts of cultural recipes. It is very well made and quite resourceful for the uneducated chef like myself.
