Before you spend your money on window treatments, beware of whom you invite into your home. My husband and I just had a very narrow escape... We met the Elite Window Treatments representative, and after selecting fabrics and getting quotes, we agreed to hire Elite Window Treatments to install our drapes. The representative requested a 50% down payment and e-mailed us the invoice. I asked that we fix, in writing, an installation date before I blindly mail him a check. Two e-mails and several phone calls later he e-mailed me with the installation date. As we had merely discovered this company online, I asked my husband to hand deliver the check to Elite Window Treatment’s shop in Manhattan, reasoning that seeing the shop would give me peace of mind. Set an appointment and waited around, 2 hours later, the tech calls and tells me he'll be there in 30 minutes, an hour later the head office calls and just cancels. Rude and unacceptable customer service. They did not even offer to reschedule, although I would not have used them after that. Plenty of other dedicated window treatment options to waste my time with these people.
