scammers can be found on every maketplace websites, not just ecrater, I think, buyers need to do theirs homework too, such as look at seller's feedback, check to last modified date of the web and contact to seller for sure. I'm a seller at ecrater and I've never had a problem with my customers check to my store at http://thaifairshop.ecrater.com

I ordered a Wii remote controller PLUS from ecrater.com, the seller is "asonma". On its website, it clearly said the remote controller is a PLUS model, and it also had a picture showing the product. However, what I received is NOT "PLUS" model. It is just an old model without PLUS function. The seller said they provide 30 days money back and 1 year Warranty service. Then I sent emails to seller to file a complaint, but no any response. Ecrater is allowing anyone to post a sale, take the money, and walk away from ecrater with no accountability. I will not do business with this site any more.

Ecrater is #1 there are never any questions about fees, premium programs, or any hasles. The only thing they ask is that you abide by there selling policies. Now, what can be so hard about that? I have been with Ecrater for a few years now and don't intend to ever leave thats why this market place is #1 to me! My store is: www.drewksmall.ecrater.com

Ecrater is agood online marketplace to sell your products. It does not have any fees, and you get access to a big online market with them. They submit your products to google product search twice per week, which gives you access to the multi million buyers that search on google products. They offer you the ability to be paid by PayPal and by Google Checkout wich gives you extra safetiness to your online transactions. The user interface of the website is very good and easy to use. You may add the Google analytics code so you can track from where are your visitors coming from. I am selling on ecrater for over 1 year and I am very pleased by it. I have many orders (not as much as on ebay, but still many) and the best part is that I do not need to pay any fees. Most ecrater users are honest and are not scammers. You may find spammers by looking into their feedback or on their first strore page. If they have 0 feedback, or only negative feedback, and their store first page is not very pr... Read more

I've been selling online for years, and have had good results with getting orders in eBay since the first week. Over a month into eCrater though, and I've got no orders from there. In my case, it's not a matter of marketing. My site and my store are very Google friendly, and I promote very well. I believe it's just that people have had so many bad experiences that they don't trust eCrater stores, especially those based abroad. So I intend to keep my store just in case things get better there, but I don't really expect much.

I am both a seller and buyer, I have many collections I continuously add too. With any seller online you must always check out the seller when buying, not saying that all new sellers are scammers, you do need to make sure that you can contact the seller from the get go. I have had wonderful experiences via the ecrater marketplace. They have feedback easy to find, I am able to see and use many photos and reviews, also the items can be found on google. As a seller this is a great place to list and work. Tools and ease of use makes it a plus. As a buyer, I am able to find competitively priced items. Over all I would give them a 10/10

Giving eCrater a bad rating because of a seller's lack of integrity does not reflect what eCrater is truly all about. Where else are you going to get: Unlimited listings 10 photos per item Quick and easy store set up One page listing Free Google uploads and product search Monthly hit counter Seller feedback Easy Google Analytics integration Payment options including Google Checkout, PayPal, money orders and cash Community forum support Ecrater Stores Network Ning community Quick response service by Ning staff Continuous upgrades ALL FOR FREE? I've been on eCrater several years now and out of all the venues I've tried, this is by far the best one out of all of them. Sales have exceded any that were done on other sites. I am spoiled now - I will never go back to the others. http://eccentricthrifter.ecrater.com http://ecrater.ning.com

I would give it a lower score, but that is not possible. I purchased an item from a store on eCrater. Never recieved it and complained to eCrater. They notified me that the store had been closed and that they have been actively investigating the seller. My question is this...It seems like I was not the first to have been a victim of this seller, yet eCrater left his site active, thus making me a victim of the sellers scam. eCrater takes no responsibility and told me to take it up with Paypal. What a fabulous business model....all profit, no liability! I just wish I would have thought of this scam first! Good luck to those who shop at eCrater, the fly by night etailer.

I recently used Ecrater to purchase a Indianapolis Colts umbrella. It took over 2 weeks to get it. I found out later that the store called "LA Sports and More" sold it to me through Ecrater. After several emails with the owner of the store, he finally confided in me that he purposely mailed the package to me late because he was from Baltimore where the Indianapolis Colts left town years ago and proceeded to call me an idiot for thinking that I could order Colts gear from a store in Baltimore and expect to get it on time. I didn't even know my order was coming from Baltimore, but even if I did, certainly it's poor business practice to discriminate customers simply on a geographic basis. I'd say Ecrater is a good site, but beware of questionable vendors used by Ecrater.

The holiday season is well known to be the busiest time of the year for almost every business, including ours. Usually, at any given time during the year, I'm processing about a hundred online orders. This holiday season, as well as holiday season every year, we are even more swamped than usual. Plus...the postal service is backed up to the rafters themselves. You only ordered this just before X-Mas. It certainly has NOT You'll have this shortly....~ Mark ~ : HOW RUDE WAS THIS EMAIL!!!!! As a small seller doing the initial ecrater set-up, I’m happy. The lack of options (also known as more seller expenses) might not work for the big seller, but less clutter is easier and down to the point. My products are almost entirely confined to inexpensive children’s books and Literary Classics. This works great with the simpler listing model. For sellers offering different types of items that require variables, such as sizes and colors this approach will be a bit more cumbersome as you will have to list them individually. The biggest con for me is that resizing the photos is timely and I list several books. The biggest pro for me is that with the website being free, I can pass the savings on to my customer and offer great shipping prices. The big guys often decide how much to charge for shipping and then overcharge, because their taking a cut out of the sellers shipping reimbursement or they use management models to essentially force you to take a loss on shipping. I am pretty new to ecrater.com but my overall experience so far has been pretty good compared to other sites. My issues are that I wish you could do more HTML-wise to make your store more attractive and trying to add attributes to help promote my items during searches. I'm sure once I work attributes out, I should hopefully get more action on my site. I would agree that you have to be careful whenever you purchase items online. I believe the majority of craftsmen on Ecrater are honest, creative people in search of a place to sell their crafts fairly. Ecrater just happens to be about the fairest online outlet I've found so far. :) http://bassbeadgallery.ecrater.com

I just opened a store on ecrater, and it was very easy to set up. Ecrater provides very clear instructions as to setting up a store. I have been selling items on ebay for about 4 years and the fees that they charge make it very hard to give the customer a good deal and make a little profit. I sell handcrafted wood items, decorative painting items, wood-burnings/pyrography, crochet, pretty much anything I can do with my hands. I just think that it is wonderful, in this day and age, that there is a web site that helps people help themselves, by giving them a forum to sell their goods. There are always going to be bad apples in the bunch, I just try not to judge all sellers by a few. I have found most to be very honest and reliable. I think ecrater is a great site. Ecarter is an online shopping mall for other retailers. I encounter a dispute with one of their sellers and they will not get involved. I feel this is poor business because just like Ebay there is a responsibility for the promoting company to police their sellers. I will not do business with this site again.

In my honest opinion ecrater is as good as it gets when it comes too both selling and buying. As both a buyer and a seller at ecrater, I myself would never sell somthing and not deliver what I sold. Plus as far as buying goes check seller ratings plus the time of updated last which is at the bottom of the page, many buyers do little or no homework to prevent being conned/scammed. But I say if you got scammed as I have before you asked for it by not doing your research / buyer's homework. I have learnt many lessons online from many sites about buying. Now I do my homework before I buy from the internet. Must be some bad apple's out there since we are talking about the world keyword world << wide web. Meaning you should never buy without looking at seller ratings and asking questions to whom you wish to deal with. Please visit my store @ ecrater sometime Henry's marketplace/Henry's wholesale

I am a seller on ecrater and have been selling for approximately 1 year now. I have had FANTASTIC luck with this site. The key to success is ADVERTISING, and I cannot stress that enough. I have sold on 'both' sites..(you all know who the other one is...) and because ecrater doesn't charge you anything to list, or sell it's worth the extra time promoting yourself. All you're doing when you sell on that 'other' site, is making them rich..and for what? NOTHING... Poor customer service at the other site, rip offs, and now since all the changes the sellers who MADE THEM RICH get screwed, and left behind.. I just hope that other site goes down in flames... But on a better note.. Ecrater has been quite remarkable. And, the momentum is growing fast. I sell vintage, and Antique glassware.. (and a few other items) but mainly glassware, and china. Hard to find pieces. Please stop by, I have excellent feedback because I always provide my buyers with the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! (always something to... Read more

I recently opened an ecrater site. It is so nice NOT to have the ebay expenses. It's EVEN BETTER being able to pass along the lower costs to my customers. I'm glad I found this portion of the site. I was wondering why so many people were viewing my site, but not too many sales. After reading the negative reports I can see why some are sceptical to buy here. I recently got my first feedback, Yippie! Carumba! Jumping up and down. I hope as other writers have testified here...that my first and all important feedback will help sales. My first feedback client WAS SO NICE....he wanted to see my ebay feedback before he purchased an item for his girlfriend. I was so proud of my ebay feedback...so he checked out my ebay feedback score...then he purchased from me. I'd recommend that anyone that joins ecrater from ebay...open the ecrater account with the same name as your ebay account...so, customers can see your history. Hope this helps. I think I am falling in love with ecrater! Last year I realized my dream to open an online Metaphysical Wiccan and Pagan store and made it happen. I purchased my own URL, got hosting and opened up a very nice looking web store. I did really well but had to close the store down mid-year due to a family move, and then in the fall I got pregnant and had severe morning sickness, so I kept the store closed longer than I had planned. Now that I am halfway through my pregnancy, i am feeling sooo much better and I have been working on a plan to re open my online store. I happened to stumble across ecrater, and knew I found my stores "new" home. I WAS simply going to re-open in on my owned domain, but I really liked the idea of selling on ecrater. It didnt have all the bells and whistles of my old web store, but was so much easier and time saving because of that! I love the ease of use this site has. I have added over 100 inventory items to mys tore so far, and am adding more every day. ... Read more

I have been selling on ecrater for about a year and a half and have had no problems whatsoever. It's completely free, and easy to set up. I also have my own website, but it doesn't come up very high on the google search pages, so I decided to give ecrater a try. When someone does a search for my products, my ecrater store usually comes up at the top of the first page. Obviously, this has really increased my sales! Marcy http://justforfun.ecrater.com/

As a seller, the big advantage of ecrater is free listing. You can establish a store in minutes and it is relatively easy to setup. As a buyer, you find great deals because seller don't have to factor in listing fees and final value fees into product markup, hence passing the savings to consumers. A tip to shoppers: Just like shopping anywhere else, you can check the seller's feedback on every product listing. To be on the safe side, use the "Ask seller a question" link under the purchase button and inquire about product availability and shipping time. Any reputable sellers will answer back in a timely manner and will be glad to address any other concerns as well. Keep in mind that Ecrater is not a store, it is a tool and portal for buyers and sellers. To see more items from the same seller you need to click on "View Store".

I am sure this is a great site for sellers but is a horrible one for buyers! I have review the site after a purchase the first of the month of december... after I had received the other purchases that day from various website I still let a week pass and then tried to find the seller on ecrater to contact them.. they were nowhere to be found and then i started looking for help from them... I found NOTHING for buyers! Finally I used the contact at the very bottom of the screen and then that was a little confusing to figure out exactly the complaint as I just wanted information on the seller to contact them... I tried several things and heard nothing from ecrater. Then filed a complaint with them and paypal and I will not see my money for at least 30 days! I live in a really small town and the nearest town with anything other than a walmart is about 80 miles away. So finding the missing christmas present in only 5 days is going to be a nightmare! I've been on ecrater for several years now and can't say enough good about it. It is free from start to finish meaning I can list non-trendy items and wait for the perfect buyer to find them. My items are automatically fed to Google Products and that saves me tremendous hassle. I can offer my buyers credit card checkout via PayPal and Google Checkout without having to go to the expense of having an account with each credit card company. And no I don't resent the fees PP and GC charge. They provide a service. They deserve to be paid for it. After reading the ratings so far it looks like a few too many people have had problems with individual sellers. Here are some suggestions to help you make wise decisions in the future and prevent such reoccurances. This is true for all online sites. 1. Never buy in a hurry. See something you like and the buyer has no feedback, send an email using the Ask Seller a Question link on every item. If you get no response or an ignorant response, don't buy... Read more

I started listing on ecrater a year and a half ago and am very pleased that I did! Ecrater is not an auction site. Instead sellers have stores with fixed prices. Ecrater charges no fees for listing or for selling an item. You can pick from two payment systems, Google Checkout or Paypal and can choose to take money orders, checks, etc. You are allowed up to 10 free photos with each listing. You can have as many stores as you like for free. You don't need to know html as it isn't allowed anyhow. All listings in all the stores look the same, so no flashing lights or huge yellow print screaming at you! We had a successful store with 100% postivie feedback on ebay, but as ebay made more and more changes and charged more and more fees I knew we needed to find a different spot to sell from. We tried other places but ecrater is the only site that brought in the sales. Currently our sales on ecrater are running ahead of our last few months on ebay--with no fees so income is higher! Like many other eBay sellers I have opened an eCRATER store and I'm thrilled with the ease of use and the helpful community. Generally, buyers will find the same friendly sellers on eCRATER that they find elsewhere and better prices because of the lack of seller fees. Its a shame that some buyers have had bad experiences but the same thing can happen on eBay or any other online venue. On each eCRATER storefront a buyer can find contact and other information about individual sellers. While feedback is growing on eCRATER, buyers can also look up the feedback for many eCRATER sellers on eBay or other sites. By using a credit card, Google checkout, or Paypal the buyer is offered protection but as with all online stores it's important to look at the seller's information and credentials. eCRATER is growing fast for buyers and sellers of vintage postcards. I started on ecrater a year ago this month. It's the best place that I sold on since I left ebay. Many years ago when ebay was still young I looked and tried all kinds of sites. At one point I was trying 8 different auction sites at the same time trying to get away from ebay. However none produced much if anything. Ecrater has not only produced it keeps increasing as the months pass. It's a work in progress, I have encountered a few people that place orders that never complete them. But who knows why they even started the order. Or maybe somethig happened and they changed their minds. It's no big deal really. I have't had any problems other then lacking the knowlege to work my own web page. I have shown my other antique dealer frieds that money can be made from the site. And the ones that got serious and work the site are making money as well. I have 1800 items listed and add about every other day to my store is www.nothingnew.ecrater.com . I really wanted to try and get away from ebay and try something new that wasn't so darn expensive but I couldn't even get help on the forums! Every time tired to start a topic, it kept asking me to log in over and over again! I know it is not my web browser because I tried 3 different ones! As a seller ecrater is amazing. With that said I do have to add that as a buyer there are fraudulent sellers on ecrater just like there are on ebay, craigslist, and others. There is no way to order online and be 100% sure you are going to receive what you paid for, that is reality, even sites like walmart.com etc. make mistakes. I also want to point out that basically all the reviews that are negative here were because of a single ecrater storefront...there are thousands of sellers on ecrater, it's only natural that the internet being what it is would have frauds and scammers on it. Well if you need graphic design try me at http://hymesdesign.ecrater.com I should have a few customer reviews soon to put you more at ease with doing business with me, and I assure you I am not the only legitimate seller on ecrater.

Ecrater is excellent! My parents purchased me a brand new Laptop from Dell, it came preinstalled with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007. Office 2007 is exactly what I needed for college, well what I did not know was it was a trial and it expired on me right in the middle of class. This is where eCrater comes in, I search google to purchase Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007, but I only need to convert my software like fast. I found an online software store at ecrater and they sent me a full retail product key in less that 10 min. after placing the order 100% legit for only $54.99. http://lgsoftware.ecrater.com/ this is the best place for Microsoft Office 2007. http://lgsoftware.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=63135 72

What a scam! Minus all stars. -10 Ordered 2 types of mailing labels. We've moved and holiday return labels. The understanding was when the merchant received my check they would mail the items that I ordered. I wanted the labels to be delivered fairly quickly in order to have them in time for the holidays. The check that I sent for payment was received and cleared by my bank Nov 19Th. I have emailed The Stationary Store 4 times to no avail! Never did get the labels; had to do it all by hand and the cards were sent out late! They just kept the money and never sent the labels. Please beware should you ever do business with this company. Terrible, just terrible. I will report them to the better business bureau. Can't have on-line businesses keeping money and not delivering the goods. I was feeling very confident about shopping on-line, I hope that this isn't the beginning of something awful! Take heed...don't order anything from The Stationary Store...ecrater.

eCrater is the biggest fraud supporting website out there. Basically, it sets up other webstores without any verification necessary so that there is literally zero accountability for individual stores. There is no contact info for either the website itself or its individual stores other than an e-mail link which gives no reply. Essentially, the seller can set up a paypal account, put in fake contact information to the actual store and defraud its buyers without ever having any repercussions. So if you purchase something from a seller and he never sends it to you, you have literally no recourse to talk to an actual human being who will help your case. This is done intentionally so that you are pretty much out of luck. And since all transactions are handled with paypal, your only course of action is to file a dispute with paypal. If the seller lies to paypal and says "the item has been shipped" then your dispute could be closed indefinitely. eBay has a feedback system in place an... Read more

I have set up an online sterling silver jewelry store with Ecrater. I hope that the bogus stores don't hurt my store. We do Ebay also and have a 100% feedback. Does Ecrater have a rating system? http://jewelrysilver.ecrater.com
