pasta pomodoro is a chain of italian fast-food restaurants. i ate in 3 of them, and they are consistent 2 areas: bad food and bad service. there are so many italian restaurants in SF, so avoid pasta pomodoro.

Why go here when there are many other GREAT Italian restaurants in town? This is a chain, guys, a chain! Go to North Beach and find much better, inexpensive food at almost any of the restaurants there!

Umm...this is a chain restaurant. Come on... It's really good for the price though...not somewhere special though.

They sell great dishes for a low price. A high priced atmosphere at a low cost.

Decent food. Fairly priced ($7-10/entree). Not a wide selection, however, pretty good variety for health-conscious or vegetarians. Quick service.

The food is OK and cheap, but that is about it. There are some many other wonderful pasta places in the city that I wouln't waste my time going to pasta pomodoro unless it was next door and I was really hungry and too lazy to go elsewhere. If you want great pasta, head to North Beach.

Complete tourist place. With so many restaurants to choose from, even cheap pasta places, why would you choose a chain restaurant? I don't get it. It is not good either. It is fast and easy but not much else. There are plenty of other fast and easy places.

Great pasta, great service. Outdoor seating makes summer dining especially nice.

Why go to a mediocre pasta chain when S.F. is filled with so many wonderful italian restuarants. Wonder through North Beach and you can easily find dozens of better restuarants. I was unimpressed with my Brucheta and gnochi. Even the ice tea was below par.

This is my favorite restaurant in the city. The food is very good, while keeping a good amount of Italian authenticity. The service is always good, and the restaurant is always clean and has tasteful decorations.

Predictable, yes, but consistent. Generally above average food all over S.F. Always a good choice, with great help. However, it's a couple bucks more per dish than it feels like it should be.

Pasta Pomodoro has really tasty Italian food. Everything is freshly made. I recommend the meatball sandwich, and for dessert the tiramisu. The healthy vegetarian options are really good. Prices are kinda high, but for the city and the quality, it's worth it.

This place has killer Italian food. My personal favorite would be the fettichine Alfredo with chicken. The garlic bread is also good. A good place for romantic dinners.

Pasta Pomadoro restaurant provides a low-key, inexpensive solution for the pasta lover. The potatoe gnochi is excellent, as well as many of the other dishes. The restaurants an be found all over the city of San Francisco.

This has to be the best restaurant ever. Their Spinach salad is my favorite. The seasonings, the bacon tomato, feta cheese all are sooo good on spinach. The service is awesome, fun waiters and the time to wait for food is short. The lines are long but hey, it's great food.

This is a cheap and fast Italian Place has many locations in San Francisco. Although many people go there, I don't know the fascinations with it. Everytime I go there, the pasta is hard and looks dry and cakey. The soda is always flat. I had the spaghetti with meatballs one time and the meatballs were dry. I can see that many people go there because it is fast but I would rather go to a deli and spend the $4 on a real sandwich.

Great food. Kind of expensive, but it is great food. Great environment. Try the pasta with pine nuts, chicken, and pesto sauce. It's the best.

I thought the dining was average. I have had better, and worse. It was unusually crowded when I went there.

This is a great place for pasta, but in S.F. you can find better, especially in North Beach.

This is a very reasonable (relatively inexpensive) Italian restaurant. There is excellent customer service, and good food. The Ceasar Salad is really good. It's probably $10-$15 a person. Good place for a date.

Pasta Pomodoro proves the age-old adage: you get what you pay for. So while this place is pretty cheap, it serves what tastes like your average pasta that you could have probably made at home with a little effort. My advice: avoid this chain and seek out the more interesting and flavorful fare this town can offer for the same price.

It's all about expectations. If you go in expecting a gourmet Italian meal, you will be disappointed. If you go in expecting a decent pasta meal that is a cut above fast food, you will be happy. Bottom line is that you can get a decent meal here for $6-7 - not too shabby for San Francisco.

This place is awful. After one visit, I cannot imagine why anyone would go back. The food is horrible, and you'd be much better off cooking your own pasta and throwing on some store-bought sauce. If you did that, your service would also be a lot better than at this place. When there are so many restaurants in San Francisco within all price ranges, there is absolutely no reason to go to this one. Ever.
