Mon Oct 19 2009I purchased this product from Amazon. It does not work. The driver will not install onto my XP running at 2GHz with at least 2GBytes of C drive space. A search of the manufactures' site provides no help. At $4 you are wasting your money.

Sat Sep 19 2009Warning Will Robinson! Warning Will Robinson! Bad software approaching! Tried to get it working on my 32-bit Vista PC with 2.00 GB of RAM and 2.00 GHz dual core chip - so, an adequate computer. The documentation is in broken English written by someone who 1st language is not English and sometimes incomprehensible. After reading tips from other reviewers I eventually was able to capture a video from my analog Hi8 camcorder but the video was jumpy as if the software couldn't keep up with the capture. I tried .AVI, .MPEG and .WMV formats. The help documentation is terrible in that it doesn't explain all the software options and what settings might be best. I was always at the point where I thought if I got one more setting right I'd get a good capture but it never happened. Two days later I'm frustrated and disappointed. Buy something else unless you don't value your time, like problem solving and you have a couple of days to try to get it working properly which may or may not... Read more

Sat Aug 29 2009The Easycrap device, the software disc and the instructions you can toss in the trash...doesn't work. Keep the usb extension cable and take care of it, works like a charm. Pay $20 or whatever you're paying for the video capture package and you will be paying $20 for a Dollar General quality usb extension cable no longer than about 2 feet in length. The only EASYCAP device is the usb extension cable, very easy to usb, no instuctions or software needed, no margin for error, just plug it in! Don't waste $20 on a 2ft. long easycap usb extension cable. If you look around just a little harder I'm sure you could find one. Better yet if you ask someone nicely they would probably give you one! The absolute truth...this Easycrap does not work at all! It is not compatible with Windows XP even though my PC is three times the so called system requirements of the Easycrap software. You can try all day long to install the drivers for this Easycrap device whether it's the software disc that comes with... Read more

Tue Aug 11 2009Part of my work includes installing CCTV cameras. We would normally use a B & W battery powered 5" television, the kind you would use as an emergency, before the FCC turned off the analog tv bandwidth. The tv worked pretty well, we would use a BNC to RCA connector to connect to the tv input on the back. Sometimes the focus would not be sharp enough the first go around, and we would have to re-adjust once the camera was connected to the DVR, and we could see the image on the DVR monitor. I had entertained buying a TFT battery powered colored monitor used for this type of work, but with the prospect of spending over $200.00 for an occasional use tool, I decided to look for something simplier, and less expensive. This EZ Cap device fits the bill for me. I always carry a laptop for most of my work, so I don't need to carry anything special. The EZ Cap allows me to connect to an external camera with just a BNC to RCA connector. The software works pretty good for me, I only had to go into O... Read more
