Original 12/4: looks like I wasn't the only one having problems with this site. I could read reviews but could not log on for the past week or so. Can't help but wonder what the glitch was. Update:12/5 Now I can leave reviews but no comments. I'm very curious if these problems are just a bug or part of the site dismantling that seems to be going on here for the last year.

I certainly don't feel rushed when I try lately. Update: I had a Ford Windstar once that had rear doors that only operated on automatic. You would get in, hit the close button and they would slowly slide closed. As soon as they clicked, they would slowly start to slide open again. It seemed like it took a whole minute for the process to cycle through, only to have it start all over again when you hit the button. Sometimes three times in a row before they would finally close. The mechanic said that replacing the automatic door mechanism and cables would cost about $850 per door. I asked what it would cost to just disable the automatic door mechanism. Free with an oil change. I should give the mechanic's number to Magellan.

It would nice if I could leave a rating without the dreaded error message showing up. It's back for me.

Considering I haven't been able to consistently use the site for the last three fucking days, I'd call this one rating justified... UPDATE: I feel REALLY GOOD about this one, seeing as I can't click to see this list without getting that stupid fucking error message.

I hear rumours of neglect, and judging from the error messages I've been getting for a week or so, it appears that rateitall may be on its way out. Hope not.

I've had an item suggestion for three days that I can't view, but rating things is super easy.

Considering it's a gamble even being able to actually log in and leave a comment. For some reason I seem to have the luck of double posting every damn thing I post....

As of right now, it's pretty much impossible to navigate this site. I've got a bad feeling about this. Glad I've done some e-mail exchanging lately. Up Date: Well this posted, but had to log-out in order to see it as the front page is blocked when you're logged-in. Had to log back in, in order to up-date this. I have faith that someone will get on this. Someone got on it. Cool. Thanks.

I almost never leave a rating without writing a review on any item, it is because it seems to take a bit too much time just to load the rate page and leaving a review doesn't seem to take much longer than that. Also, I don't like to scroll through the list to give ratings as there are usually items on the lists that I don't know about, therefore would not want to rate. What I'd prefer, is more like a mouse over rating bar on the list page, and I can just rate as I go down the list. I do see that by having that you may encourage some lazy people like me to not leave a review... which may be a good thing to some people. Do you think this may stop people from leaving pointless reviews such as "it sux" and such?

I'm actually not all that happy with it - especially rating from the list pages.  Using pop-ups as rating windows was a good idea a few years ago, because it kept you on the page.  Now, there are far better ways to manage this, using something called Ajax.  This should allow folks to rate stuff from the list page, without going to another page, and without waiting for a pop up to load in a new browser.  Until RIA improves the rating engine from the list page, only three stars from me.

It's really easy! I rated everything on the "Beer" and "Cigarettes" lists a "1".

Couldn't possibly be easier. I like that you can either leave the rating from within the item (for example, after reading what other people have left) or leave it from within the list itself (for example, when you want to zip through all the items, rate and comment them all at once, and THEN read what everyone else wrote).

Navigating this site and rating something is very easy. All you have to do is click the very convienient "Rate it" button on the top of the page.

It's definately easy to leave ratings here, I can't think of an easier way to do it. Oh, but I do have a problem that clicking the "helpful" and "not helpful" buttons just ends up making my computer freeze, so I've never rated other people's comments. It's not that I've got a Mac, I"m using a PC. Obviously, most people don't have this problem, but if anyone does or if anyone knows how to fix that problem, let me know!

Very intutitive site...easy to leave ratings and navigate. That goes for legitimate raters as well as for those without a life who have nothing better to do than click not helpful day and night. And, we all KNOW who we are.

The site is generally intuitive and easy to use. My only complaint is that the applet that powers the helpful/not helpful buttons appears to be written for Windows only. On the Mac, I've tried both IE 5 and NN7, and in both I get a "failed to load applet" error. So I can post all the opinions I want, but cannot comment on others' (a Windows-using friend who also uses the site reports no problems). So, make it fully cross-platform and you'll get a five from me!

Very easy to leave a rating. You don't have to leave a comment if you don't want to, it's as simple as that.

I find it very easy to leave a rating. I just click on the "Rate it!" button, select a star, write my rating, and click "submit". I couldn't ask for a better, easier system.

the ratings system could'nt be any easeir, not like aall the other requiremets at other ratings sites. I love the stragitforwardness of the whole system and it makes it easier for newbies to rate anything and the site is very user friendly! I just like the way this whole site is!

TOnce you're registered, it takes just about 2 seconds to rate something. It's really easy. And have you noticed that in the rating pop-up window you can just click on the star that corresponds to the rating you want to leave? It's easier than using the drop-down menu.

The big yellow buttons all over the site are just crying for me to leave ratings and comments everywhere that I go on RateItAll! I do not usually like the pop-up window feature on sites, but when rating on this site, it is a very useful and efficient tool. It is also greta to see the page immediately refresh once it accepts user input and re-calculates the numerical rating and adds the comment to the site right away.

Click one of the yellow buttons that says "Rate It!", choose 1-5 stars, leave a comment, click SUBMIT. Pretty fast and easy.
