Feels like an old favorite in Waikiki, it's the picture I had in my mind of an old school Hawaii hangout. Has an older feel to it, the beachfront seating and the bar are cool.

Go on a Sunday between 4 and 6 pm. Great mixed drinks. The live music on Sunday is the best.

My friend and I were excited to go to this place. She has been there before and told me that she had a lovely experience there. However this time, it was a completely different experience. We went for lunch and wanted to eat something light so we decided to split a piece of fish and salad. The fish was $15 & supposed to be 5oz. When we got it, it was microscopic & very dry. When we asked the waitress about the size - she reminded us that the reason it was small is that we shared the fish?as if we didn?t know that that is how we ordered it. She also had raved about "the bean salad." So?we decided to try that. But much to my surprise, the bean salad was not even a salad. It was merely a side order of green beans. There were no other vegetables. It was spiced well, but it certainly was not a salad. There was not much to it. In addition, I ordered an ice tea with pineapple juice (on the menu), but instead, she brought me an Arnold Palmer. Rather than make a fuss, I just dr... Read more

The wait for this place was unbelievable. Once we made it inside, the menu selection was slim and way overpriced. The portions were small and the food was mediocre at best. The server ignored our party of 7 and never refreshed our drinks even after two requests. The restaurant sits on the beachfront and has nice scenery, but eat before you go.

Don't come here looking for a quiet romantic fine cuisine meal. We were surprised by the wine list as it contained a good selection of quality wines and pricing. The salad bar was well kept and stocked. The teenage servers were overwhelmed by the crowded room. The fish was satisfactory.

This restaurant/bar has a great view of Waikiki, can be especially crowded during peak hours. Food is ok, bar is much better.

We arrived on a Friday night around 8 PM and the wait was about 55 minutes. You might consider putting your name in and walking across the street to the shopping center. The food was very good -- I got the top sirloin ($19.95) and my girlfriend got the 7 Spice Ahi Tuna which she said was excellent. All entrees come with the salad bar which is very good. The drinks were enjoyable and semi-strong. I recommend the Mickey Goon -- it's a 151 rum-based drink that's pretty yummy. There's another drink with Itch in the name and it comes with a back-scratcher. All-in-all, this is a great place to come for dinner and drinks and make a night out of it.

This was our first night in Honolulu (Oct. 20) and it really said Hawaii. Warm, a beautiful sunset, good food and wonderful cocktails. Three of us had fish and it was excellent. The ahi tuna was great. Service was very attentive and prices were on par with other cities. Right in the heart of everything. Watch where you sit at sunset - it can get quite blinding if you have to face it.

My husband and I went to Duke's several times during our visit in Wikiki, once for lunch and once for dinner. Duke's provides a nice, relaxing yet upbeat atmosphere on the beach that's great for kids too. There is indoor, patio and outdoor seating for dinner and indoor and patio seating for lunch. I recommed that you visit Duke's during your stay for a casual meal or for drinks in a fun, laid-back environment.

Duke's is a great restaurant. When my family goes to Hawaii we end up eating here more than anywhere else. The food and drinks are excellent and as everyone will tell you the view is great.

Dukes was a good restaurant. We eat out and travel extensively and it was middle of the road. They have a self service salad bar which is nice, if you like that. The food was good, but not great.

Jeeze, talk about a beautiful sunset. This place should definately be named beach bar of the year. Thing to order, the Lava Flow...So yummy. Enjoy a nice dinner or lunch on the indoor/outdoor patio. Waitstaff are super friendly. Sometimes service is a bit slow, but let's face it, unless you're catching a movie, or on lunch break, take it easy relax and take it slow. Great location, of course, but there is a market place just across the street. Very Nice.

If your looking for beautiful sunsets as you sip down your cosmo, Dukes is the place. Popular for tourists and locals alike, Duke's offers music, food, and beer. Right on the beach you can watch the sunset as the surfers paddle in or listen to the beautiful Hawaiian music being played.

You have got to get there on Sunday afternoons. Its a perfect scene: Live Hawaiian music, dancing, and a barefoot bar all the while the sunset over the Waikiki shoreline is your backdrop. Whether you are visiting for the first time or just catching up with old friends, this is the place.
