ABC shows all seem to have an arrogant, self-indulgent feel to the writing. Losers are only funny for so long, and this entourage of "three losers and the token female" is as dumb as the writing. I watched the entire series beginning to end, looking for a funny point, and there really isn't one. Oswald and Lewis are a cheap rip-off of "Beavis and Butt-head," while Mimi is a lame "Roseanne" wanna-be-- her and Drew carrying on this dumb feud is just stupid, and the notion of them ending up relatives is worst of all. The original title-sequence of "Moon over Parma" was ok, but after that it just got self-indulgent with the stupid "song and dance" titles-- and the "musical numbers" during the show were so stupid and self-indulgent that I had to speed-search through them.

A painfully unfunny and creepy show for me. Carey just looked like a guy I would run away from as a child due to my weird-o-meter. . . This bad rating is complicated by the fact that my undergrad work was in Cleveland- a town full of nice people who simply overpraise anything about their town. . .

Another quirky gem from the era. Drew and Mimi were very good with their ongoing feud. The supporting cast was excellent too. Another good show that suffers when viewed daily instead of weekly as it was intended.

Really not that funny. The very second I heard the annoying themesong for this show, I wanted to turn the channel.

I always got a good laugh out of this show. There was a lot of chemistry between the actors and characters and the storylines were usually good too. It got a little wishy washy in the last season or two but overall it was a great sit com.

The show was very funny and I still enjoy the reruns but it had ran its course. It just was not the same with out Kate.

Mimi made the show what it was. The last couple of years, it really lost its zing.

The Drew Carey Show, is a show everyone can relate to. Its about childhood friends, Lewis, Oswald and Kate. Their relationships and friendships. How everyone is helping and caring. Drew is in a deadend job and Mimi is always giving Drew a hard time on the job and off.

I still TiVo the late night reruns of this show, but I have to agree with many of you. The show got boring when there was someone getting married or planning to, every week. Also, I think the characters Lewis and Oswald really sold the show to me, when I began watching, but towards the end they seemed to be written in poorly, almost forced into the plot. Instead of being part of the story with some crazy scheme, they seemed to be forced into scenes for comic relief from Drew's drama of the week.

It is a sad day now that this show is gone. Sure there are always the re-runs, but that can only last for so long. Drew and his drunk friends were so funny. and of course we can't forget Mimi in her Mumu's! this show rocked.

Mann, am I going to miss this one. I'll give Drew five stars, and 5700 points. (The rules are made up and the points don't matter...oops wrong show!) They were creative, and were never afraid to try something new. Remember when they synced an episode with a webcast on winloud.com? The ending of this show, and others, is a sign of things to come. Soon there will be no more sit-coms left. Not much drama either. They have to make more room on the schedule for Reality-TV shows, and it I'll have no plans on watching it. This so-called Reality-TV is not Reality. The closest to Reality TV ever got was those re-enactment of real-life events, as in Rescue 911, or Unsolved Mysteries. You should see the list of all the garbage they have to make room for. Bug eating contests and petty games for millions does not a quality show make.

I used to do audience work at the studios and the Drew Carey Show was always offered (hurting for audience members) I never went because I don't have anything in common with a bunch of guys that sit around in a bar or a kitchen or a backyard and drink beer. Mostly stupid, moronic humor with some good stuff mixed in.

I don't see why DCS is in Recently Cancelled TV Shows. I don't think it's been cancelled. It's taping its final season, finally. I like the DCS, but some of the plots in the later seasons were pretty stupid. Kate dates basically everyone except poor Lewis (who, with Oswald, is my favourite character on the show) who never dates anyone. Sure, there are times when I turn away because of the trashy content, but there are funny moments. Sadly, the DCS should of finished a while ago, but I'll still watch.

The people who find this horror of a sitcom funny probably are the same people who find it hilarious when somebody belches or releases anal gas loudly. The humor (or lack thereof) was so mean spirited, crass, and downright stupid, I would shake my head in disbelief. Characters like Mr. Wick, Mimi, and Otto were utterly detestable. Drew's self-deprecating schtick got especially tiresome. The girl was cute (albeit not funny). The most wretched episodes I recall was the one where Drew dies, the totally incoherent live show they once tried, and those stupid annual Guess What's Wrong With This Picture shows (After 5 minutes, I would scream, This show stinks. That's what's wrong with this show.) I think ABC, in its infinite wisdom, decided not to air a President Bush speech on Iraq and aired Drew Carey instead. I think the Prez beat it out in the ratings. The sad thing is, none of ABC's sitcoms are much funnier.

The first four seasons were great and better than most of the shows on TV, but it lost itself over the next couple of years. I guess they ran out of ideas.

There is no question of whether this show might be cancelled SOON..it has been cancelled FINALLY ! and THANK GOD ! This show has sucked since the 3rd season. And that other nightmare show on ABC that Drew stars in is gone too as of this year. YAY ! I just wished Mimi could have her own show. She was the only reason why this show was any good to begin with.

With a great cast, setting, and drop-dead funny plots, The Drew Carey Show is one of the best to ever hit television. I personally love this show because of the comedy. You won't find a better show to laugh at. I was shocked to learn the show may be cancelled soon. What a shame. Anyway, if you are looking for some laughs, with people just like you, tune in.

I no longer watch this show because it has been on few seasons longer than it should have been.At first i liked this and would have given it a higher rating. but now all they do is change the show too much adding new characters. and changing everthing around too much. I would be very surprised if this is not cancelled this year. Too bad it did not stop earlier this show has just got too stale with material.

Ugh...Drew Carey is the worst comic I've ever seen. Kathy Kinney was good in first season, but got obnoxious to a terribly extent after a while.

The Drew Carey Show "was" a terrific comedy show, from the first season to season 5. It produced very funny episodes like The Full Monty episode or the one where Steve and Mimi got married. But the show really went downhill in the 7th season when Drew married two women. Then some of it got unrealistic. Come on, Drew is a nice guy, he would never do that.

It was always a great show, but I just don't care for it this season. The one thing that I don't like is the whole dot com thing. That blond girl, Traylor, is such a b*tch to Drew and Mimi. Reminds me (too much!) of someone I went to school with. And Mr. Wick as a janitor? *rolls eyes* It's supposed to be on until the end of the 2004 season, but I doubt it'll be on by then. Besides, doesn't Friday nights usually kill sitcoms?

A great show, based on Drew Carey's comedy style; With Ryan Stiles as Lewis, Dierich Bader as Oswald, and Cythnia Wathros as Kellie(who is the new forth person since Kate Milla who played Kate, left the show) play four friends that drink Buzz Beer and get into silly situations. While trying to avoid Kathy Kinney as Mimi who causes the most trouble for the group while playing pratical jokes on them. It is very good to see a great cast like this work, because they are really close friends.

I think Drew Carey can be funny and I love the April Fools episodes. It's better than a lot of the crap that ABC has put out these past couple of years, like Once & Again, Who wants to be a Millionaire, and Dharma & Greg.

Drew Carey is all hype. Both of his shows (Drew Carey/Whose Line is it Anyways?) are a waste of airtime and should be cancelled. Why do the execs at ABC keep giving this bozo top priority? ABC ranks dead last among the big three networks and deservedly so.
