Dr. Fretgood

I found Dr. Fretgood driving through my neighborhood one day and decided to stop in. Ivan and Nick were the easiest guys to talk to about my guitars. They really know how to listen and understand what you want out of your guitar setup. I had 3 setups done on my les pauls for a show that weekend and they sounded and felt great. They even made suggestions about action and bridge setups that made one of my guitars play smoother. In the 10 years ive lived in Chicago and all the places I have gone, Nick and Ivan made me feel good about leaving my guitars in their hands. Ill be taking my guitars to them from now on. Dr. Fretgood is a great guitar repair shop, you should go see them. They are REALLY good with custom wiring guitars and they do some really cool custom tube amp modifications. I had them wire series/parallel switches in both my guitars, and Nick converted my Fender amp to cathode bias so now I get that tweed "squish" that alot of us are looking for. I'd also like to point out that they are by far the friendliest guys to take your gear to... and i've been to a lot of shops in Chicago.
