Thu Mar 18 2010He is a wonderful teacher of the word but slants it big time like the rest, when it comes to Tithing. He claims it is mandatory Covenant law for the New Testament Church after Jesus died on the Cross. Paul was God's chosen Apostle to the Gentiles but he never even mentioned the word TITHE let alone commanded that the Gentiles must do it. Let us go to the Word and Examine the Scriptures below. Who keeps paying a debt that has been paid in full? Either the law was accomplished by Jesus or it wasn't. PRAY AND READ THESE SCRIPTURES ASKING GOD TO OPEN YOUR EYES Hebrews 8:6 "But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the Mediator of a better Covenant, which was established upon better promises." "Hebrews 8:7 "For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second." Hebrews 13 "A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away." Galatians... Read more

Sat Jun 13 2009Great teaching but Errors on Tithing Just a few Scriptures to Support Mandatory Tithing is no longer required because Christ has fulfilled all Laws and requirements of the law by His death on the Cross: Giving to support the Church is Voluntary & in light of what Christ has given us for free Voluntary giving should be more than 10 percent but if not our favor & blessings is our Legal right & inclusion in our package of Salvation when Jesus is our Lord & Savior Colossians 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of Ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. The word Ordinance (requirements was used in Malachi 3:7) Ephesians 2:15 "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity even the law of commandments contained in ordinances for to make in himself of twain one new man so making peace". Acts 15:10 "So then why do you now want to put God to the test by laying a load on the backs of the believers which neither our ancestors nor... Read more

Fri Mar 06 2009The NEWEST Pretrib Calendar ! Hal (serial polygamist) Lindsey and other pretrib-rapture-trafficking and Mayan-Calendar-hugging hucksters deserve the following message: "2012 may be YOUR latest date. It isn't MAYAN!" Actually, if it weren't for the 179-year-old, fringe-British-invented, American-merchandised pretribulation rapture bunco scheme, Hal would still be piloting a tugboat on the Mississippi. roly-poly Thomas Ice (Tim LaHaye's No. 1 strong-arm enforcer) would still be in his tiny folding-chair church which shares its firewall with a Texas saloon, Jack Van Impe would still be a jazz band musician, Tim LaHaye would still be titillating California matrons with his "Christian" sex manual, Grant Jeffrey would still be taking care of figures up in Canada, Chuck Missler would still be in mysterious hush-hush stuff that rocket scientists don't dare talk about, and John Hagee might be making - and eating - world-record pizzas! To read more details about the esch... Read more

Fri Feb 20 2009David Jeremiah is one of the best Bible teachers and Authors of our time which is why I am somewhat disappointed that he used the Old Testament Malachi 3:9 as if it applied to the Gentiles (people that are not Jewish). If Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law why look backwards? Are we required to also slaughter bulls, Lambs, Sheeps and goats as sacrifices like Old Testament believers as an atonement for our sins? The answer is that has been done away with. Jesus is our free Lamb & sacrifice! Gentile giving is now an act of worship done willingly from the perspective of love and gratitude not obligation, nor because it is the law. This is supported in Acts 2o:33-34 where the Apostle Paul refused to take a salary and Acts 15 (and last paragraph of this chapter) when the Apostles did not command Tithing when they came together to decide what to instruct the Gentile Churches. There is no mention of the word Tithe to the Gentiles at all! But we give out of love not obligation, or ... Read more

Wed Apr 16 2008I cannot for the life of me understand how such learned people can fall for the deception of the pre tribulation rapture of the Church. Dr. Jeremiah deserves my respect for his lifelong zeal for the Gospel and his God given talent to relate the message. But when you get stuck with a deficient theology, it's hard to change a bad habit.

Wed Feb 27 2008Any preacher with Dr in front of their name is depending too much in the flesh and not in the Spirit. Let him hit the streets and preach to the heathen and not to the churched and see how any of these profe$$ionals do. Anyone who is impressed with degree's are flesh at best, unregenerate at worst.

Sun Dec 16 2007He lost a star when he became involved with a questionable leadership conference. I trust him and his message, I just think he erred because he is still human.

Wed Sep 19 2007Dr. Jeremiah is one of the best preachers I've ever heard. Kind, unassuming, intelligent, honest. He's not some slick salesman. Look, lots of preachers write books and sell things. He's no different in that regard. I take no offense at the fact that he generates income from his programs. How else do you pay for TV and radio time? What impresses me is that he has a command of the bible, and he can illustrate the Word of God like nobody else. When I hear him tell bible stories, ones that I've heard a hundred times before, I always learn something new.

Fri Jun 22 2007A true man of God. In addition to my local church and Pastor, Dr. Jeremiah has been my mentor and TV teacher since 1995. I would challenge everyone to tune in and be blessed.

Fri Mar 30 2007I've tuned in to some of his broadcasts a few times. I like the dramatic introductions. All in all, a pretty good speaker...but, there's nothing much that causes me to return to his messages. I hear them once and that does it for me. I hope he appeals to others, though. 4 stars.

Mon Feb 19 2007A true man of God. I love to listen to David Jeremiah. He is right up there with Adrian Rodgers, Charles Stanley and Hank Lindstrom. They teach the Bible, not some watered down version (as Adrian would say).

Thu Apr 13 2006While I love listening to any man of God preach, I could turn of the TV or radio I am listening to if I'm in a hurry. Not with Dr. Jeremiah though. Whatever I have to do will have to wait until he finishes. That is not necessarily from seeing him as an exceptional human being, but because his preaching commands my complete attention. He is extremely gifted in delivering the truth of the Word of God. I especially enjoy the examples and stories he gives from history or even from his personal life. He is truly a gift to the Church just as any other great men and women of God were in history. My only fear is that he too is getting old.

Sun Apr 02 2006Superficial, non-challenging preacher who talks in religious cliches. Soft, sentimental, each Turning Point program makes me think of a Madison Avenue commercial. The so-called bible study books have great covers but inside its all poorly editied cliche writing. Unfortunately this kind of preaching and teaching covers the land. I pray God will raise up some true God fearing soul loving men of God.

Wed Feb 01 2006I read some of the comments stating that Dr. Jeremiah is not as exciting as other television evangelist. I would have to say that, we must not focus on the entertainment factor, but rejoice that this is a man of God that speaks directly from the bible. I've been a member of Shadow Mountain for over a year and truly feel blessed to have such a wonderful and anointed pastor in the pulpit.
