Neutral at best.  He still has some skills, but they've faded a lot.  He's a situational, pinch hit player now.

Get back, Loretta!Actually Loretta is a pretty decent, scrappy player, though certainly past his prime. He still has value as a bench/ pinch hit type.

This was a pretty good move but how about Milo being claimed off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers.

It's irritating that the Padres couldn't hold on to him years ago.

Loretta is an older guy with valuable big game experience. The Dodgers are a nice fit for him, since his versatility will be rewarded in late game pinch hitting roles in the National League. He is a pretty solid hitter, and should provide some good support for the Dodgers off of their bench as they make another run at the playoffs.
