I bought a 2004 Ram 1500 in 2004 I love this truck. I have 138,000, all I have done is change the oil every 5,000 mile. I have put one set of Spark plugs in it it still drive like new. It is so dependable, I can go out and start it at anytime and it starts and take me any where I want to go. I would not have any other truck.

I am really upset!! My truck is almost 5 years old I bought it new in 05. The box is rusting out on both sides from the inside out. Lets get these bastards to do a recall this is a shady way to to bussiness. I love my truck other then that. It is 4000 to fix with new skins. I say bocoat or recall.

2009 Dodge Hemi Ram 1500 Crew Cab Others beware. This is one Bad A$$ truck. Loads of room for Big Boys. 390 horsepower, dual exhaust, good gas mileage with "Fuel Saver" option. Trust the hype. The new body style and commercials can show on TV what you have to drive to feel. VRRROOOOMMMMMM

2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 SLT Currently at 97,000 miles and will using my truck to haul our new pop-up trailer we just bought (4,600 lb.) to the Pacific Coast and back from Denver, Colorado. I had severe problems with the front rotors with this truck from the beginning and it was very frustrating to say the least. I had similar experiences with the Dodge service personnel. I think I went through 4 sets of rotors, 3 from Dodge (factory replacement) and 1 from aftermarket supplier (EBC) which also warped after only about 10,000 miles. I finally purchased some Brembo rotors and they have been working good so far (only about 5,000 miles on them). Other than that I have had a few minor and a couple of major repair issues over the trucks 8 years on the road. Most were covered under warranty and for those that were repaired after warranty expired I still have paid less for repairs than I would have paid if I decided to upgrade to a newer truck. I think that the 2002 Dodge Ram with... Read more

I bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 back in 2005 at a local used car dealer in my area. The truck had 71k on it at the time I purchased it.When I bought it the paint was in fairly good condition but has really started to rust over the past couple of years. There is alot of snow in my area during the winter and the truck is used as a daily driver but it is also garage kept.Other than rust the truck has been a good reliable vehicle. The 5.9L Magnum engine has plenty of power but is also loves to drink gas.The truck has always used around a quart of oil between 3,000 mile oil changes since I purchased it.I would probably recommend this vehicle if the buyer doesnt mind a little minor rust and doesnt mind rarely being able to pass by gas stations.

1992 Dodge Ram 150  2wd 318cc  great truck.  It is so reliable it is sick.  I want a 4wd though so it will have to go.  13/14 mpg but I can beat it to death and it won't depreciate anymore.  Oh, yes the paint started peeling right outside the factory door.  Didn't say it was perfect

Dodge is not tough and is not a quality product. Rotors warp after 8,00 miles and the dealership smiles and says "we can turn the rotors to fix it." This does not fix it!!! The body and its components starts rusting on day one. The power seats fall apart again and again. Transmission is lousy. The infinity radio is substandard even for a factory radio. It is a shame that the USA has given away the market for lack of quality that should be well within their control.

for all those who have owned a dodge or any vehicle of any sort, let me just clue you in on the word "MAINTANENCE". IT CHAPS MY *ss to hear this rediculous down play of the truck that gave,.. "GAVE" our top three and now imports a new breath of life into truck sales, yeah the 94 thru 98's had there clear coat, plastic parts breaking, breaks and 02 ,speed sensors and even occasionally a transmission breakdown. diamler chrysler started a new concept begining w/ the viper back in the late 80's and because of that relentless ever winning record started by the viper gave new radical potential interest in the daimler industry, ENTER THE NEW RAM. i bought a 94 360 race red 1500 single cab back in 98' im a tile setter by trade and have carried well over 1800 lbs. of material and tools in that sucker for better than 10 straight yrs. not even a hickup in the drive train, sure w/ proper maintanence you might actually get a truck to get 200,000 miles and still run like new ...like my little red... 2006 Dodge Ram SLT with 20's. What a piece of junk! Brakes warped at 14000 miles. Coil over struts replaced at 9,000 miles and tie rod ends are being replaced as we speak. Did I mention that the new factory replacement parts for the tie rods have to be inspected and tested before they are installed? WHAT? Obviously these parts are sub-par from the factory but they are still being used. The roughest terrain this truck has seen is my front lawn....BIG RIG POS! This truck is a 3 dressed up as a 9.

hello everyone, have a 1500 4x4 slt lone star edition, only 24000 km the brakes are so warped, so I take it to the dealer and they say to bad, you must have put the brakes on too hard, so what the heck are brakes for if you need them, just hit whatever is in the way, the dealer wants 400 bucks for new rotors, this product sucks and is the last american truck ever, only real trucks toys, nissans, hondas for me. cheers

i own a 99' ram sport. If its not one thing than its definetely another. I had tranny work, brakes twice, water pump, catalitic converter, both seat belts, ball joints, u-joints and just about all my paint wore off before i repainted it. I bought an extended warranty on it that cost me 1800.00 and so far if i didn't the truck would have costed me over 4000.00... All trucks are different but i sure would by another dodge.

I bought a 2000 RAM 1500 4 x 4 Sport in February 2001. New, off the show room floor. Status at 80,000 to 86,000 miles of a 10 year 100,000 mile waranty; The radiator sprung a leak, and front rotors warpped.... 1800 dollars not covered by bumper to bumbper warranty. One month later transmission failure, 2985 dollars, two weeks later transmission failure and another 1285 dollars. I bought a dodge because my 98 Ford F-150 anniversary edition lariot was stolen and people don't steal a dodge. Now I know why.

R.eading these reviews it is obvious there are more problems with drivers than with the trucks . Had a Ford 1/2 ton. Had a Chev 3/4 crew cab long box. Haul anything but 6mpg. Had a 75 Power wagon crew cab , hauled anything anywhere. 15mpg. Wore it out and got an 86 w150 , 16mpg. Wore it out. Still have a 75 Dodge motor home (250000 + miles ) Just bought a 97 1500/ 18mpg. Do you get the picture ?

This has been my favorite truck ever since I was 9 years old. They were always big and powerful, and now, with the reintruduction of the Hemi engine, the Dodge Ram has become even more of a giant in the truck category. And, to fill the performance truck niche, the Ram SRT-4 is one of the leaders in the industry with unrivaled power and torque. Sure, people can gripe about whats wrong with the ram, but no truck is perfect. The Dodge Ram has been around long enough now, however, that most if not all of the kinks have probably been worked out. The truck will tow, haul, and perform just like the day you bought it even at 100,000 miles. What more could you ask for in a truck?

It was love at first sight. When I saw my first Dodge Ram in 1994 when Dodge released its new rig-like look. My friend's dad bought a baby blue 1500 4x4 with a v6 (I think) and took us for a drive on some some hilly roads in the Pennsylvania countryside. He floored it right before we hit this one hill and we must have gotten at least 3 feet of air. My teacher told us a story about how his wife was driving a Honda Accord and a guy in a Dodge Ram ran a red and slammed into the driver side of her car and she flipped over three times and landed upside down. Thankfully she was okay. The Honda was totalled and he said the Ram had minimal damage if any. Thats why they call it a Ram.

The truck, as well as the company, are crap. My truck is used primarily for commuting, all highway driving. The rotors warped within 15k miles. The dealer cut them at my expense. 15k later, they were warped again. This is a common problem with the new rams as well as the jeep grand cerokees. The manufacturer refuses to cover their brake problems and unfortunately chooses a critical component to cut costs. Everyone having similar problems should log on to www.nhtsa.gov and log a complaint. Maybe we can force a recall and make the bastards put good brakes on our trucks! This is my first crysler product. It's also my last.

I have a 1997 Dodge Ram SS/T. White with blue stripes. I have almost 100,000 miles on it with no problems. For those who says it's ugly, there are a lot of copy cats out there. For those who have had problems, there are problems with all cars and trucks. It is typically the way they are driven or maintained although there are occasional lemons. My next truck will be the SR/T-10. Just try to keep up!

03 ram 1500 quad cab. My first new truck always drove used honda accords. I have 10,000 miles on it and the rotors are warped. I took it back to the dealer b/c the brakes are covered up to 12,000 miles. The dealer would not replace the rotors they would only cut them. I asked the moron if he thought that was normal to for rotors to warp at only 10k miles. The moron had a comment for every question I asked. He said it was caused by having heavy loads in the bed, i informed him that i haven't put anything in the bed as of yet. He then responded that they were warped b/c we live in a hilly area. So I say to myself did I BUY a TOUGH american truck or some sissy truck. I then asked the moron if the rotors warped again after they cut them at say 15 or 20k miles would new ones be covered under warranty he said no. I then said to the moron do you think maybe there might be a defect with the rotors if it happens again and he said it wouldn't be covered. I don't know of any car that ... Read more

My old Man owns a 1996 Dodge truck, 1500, extended cab, short bed... 360 engine....It has been a good truck for him he has had it 8 years now and not much has gone wrong with it, he had to replace the steering box in it , thats the only problem he has had with it... I drove it, it's great for pulling the fishing boat and drives pretty good... If I had my choice of any new truck it would be the new Dodge Hemi, 1500 short bed no extended cab with 4WD...Now that is a badass looking machine....

Owned a 1997 Dodge Ram SS/T, emerald green, right off the showroom. It was my dream vehicle and I loved it very much! The only reason I don't have it today is that I have two large dogs and I like them to ride in the front. The SS/T was a single cab, so it lacked the utility I needed. Very fun to drive!

Bought a Dodge Ram 1500 quad door sport in 2000 and have loved it since day 1. Have had only one problem with it the entire time i've had it. The heating element died in the side mirrors but was after I had the truck for almost 3 years. Will NEVER touch a ford or chevy. The only trucks I will buy are dodge's.
