I watched the one where Miss Ella dies...it was so real and touching!! Too bad she had to leave the show.

I always enjoy this program and especially Lynn Thigpen (Ella). The tribute to her was outstanding and moving. What a loss.

As an avid NASCAR fan I don't miss races, except on Saturday night from 9p-10pm. I sure am glad I didn't miss last night's episode. Having no foreknowledge of Lynn Thigpen's sudden passing, I found her character's passing on the show last night a real stunner. What a beautiful smile and style she had. And from the previews of next week's episode, I'm wondering about the future of The District. A wonderful cast and great story lines are what keeps me coming back. I will miss Lynn Thigpen very much, but I'm sure the producers will find someone to take over her job.

The only good thing on Saturday Nights. Over the years, it has aged a bit stale, but still engages me with interesting plotlines and emmy-calibur performances.

The District is one of only three shows that I try not to miss. Craig T. Nelson manages to add humour to his role of Chief Mannion and, although he's much more involved in actively solving crimes than I suspect most police chiefs really are, he does manage to seem real. I miss the character of Danny, but Debreno has started to grow on me! The cast has many strong characters in addition to Mannion -- Ella and the Deputy Chief, in particular.

'The District' is one of the best shows on T.V. We never miss it. It has drama, humor and incredible talent. We just love Mannion's songs, movie examples, clothes, etc. >>We haven't been too happy with Danny's replacement so far, though; he's not as charismatic. On the other hand, he seems to be getting less smart-mouthed which is a plus. (We're happy that the Deputy Chief has become a decent human, too!)

This show is one of only a couple I hate to miss. Craig T. Nelson is excellent in his role as Mannion, and the supporting cast, particularly Lynn Thigpen, is every bit as good. I look forward to each new show.

"The District" is a great show. Craig T. Nelson is fabulous as the Chief - the role was made for him. The support cast is excellent and their characters are very believeable. The Chief's relationship with Lynn Thigpen is a constant pleasure to watch. I can't wait until the next series.

Oh boy, I taped the last two episodes back to back, so I could see the finale in it's entirety, and it was so-o good-until Danny went to the car to get the extra gun clip for Mannion !. BOY-sure hope he, somehow managed to survive-he is my favorite character from this show, except for Mannion. Have to wait until the fall to find out !!!!!

.....the best new show bar none. Craig T Nelson and Co. are just terrific. Compassionate, funny and plenty of drama, something for everyone. Hope this one is around a long time.

Great new cop show. Something had to fill in for NYPD blue. Loved Craig T. Nelson on Coach and wasn't sure about him in a drama. Not Bad!!

Here's a show where you really care about the people and what they are so hard trying to do, make a safer city. I really cheer when one of them wins either in the job or at home. So glad Ricky get's to live with his aunt.

Based on the first three shows I've seen I think this show has a chance to become very popular. Craig Nelson is very believable and presents a very strong and distinctive character; the supporting cast is also distinctive and excellent. I think the story lines need to be given serious thought so that this show does not become just another good guys/bad guys show. There is darn little on Saturday evenings that I enjoy, but I do look forward to this show.
