So my husband and I took our daughter to Disneyland on Valentine's Weekend 2009. First, let me tell you my daughter had a blast the whole weekend.....However, long lines everywhere. I felt they were trying harder to get us buy something, instead of having fun. The only thing my 6 year old little girl wanted to see were "the princesses". We had to wait in a line forever, since they did not walk around the park. We rode on few rides and walked around to see Minnie at her house and few more rides. It was ok, except for rude people running ahead of people trying to get in line first. We left the park to eat a late lunch and came back...... Disneyland parking was full, so they wanted us to pay another $10-$15 to park at the convention center parking. I was a little disturbed about that. I just parked the car at the hotel and we walked back. Other than that, it was a totally different story and loved it. The lines were less and not so much pushing to buy things. We decided to to check out C... Read more

Disneyland has a charm all it's own. While it is much smaller than Disney World many of the rides are the same, though a few are different. They expanded the area with some shopping and an ESPN sportszone, which made me think they were going for a small Disney Village like they have in Florida. It's a wonderful place to visit!

This was my first visit to Disney Land, LA. I went there on a summer weekday and was still jam-packed. The theme park employees do an excellent job of coordinating things including the shuttle from parking lot to the park. We did go on many rides and most of them were theme based. Some of the rides worth mentioning are Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, Finding Nemo, Haunted mansion, and Pirates of Caribbean. Most of rides have a waiting time less than 20-30 min, but for the popular rides I would recommend the Fast Pass. Fast Pass does save you a lot of time. The park was open till mid night, allowing you to enjoy as many rides as possible. There are many hotels and resorts nearby, and the rates now are quite reasonable. A great place for enjoying holidays.

Have been there over 20 times in my life, and I'm only 20! I will never get tired of Disneyland & California Adventures. I have yet to go on a trip by myself there though.

I visited Disneyland for the first time in over sixteen years and was shocked at the poor attitude of the park employees. They were rude with smart-mouthed answers for simple questions. We needed to sit because of my disability and numerous park personnel came up and didn't ask but told us and then shouted at us to move from an area we were sitting. They gave no explanation except to say there was going to be a fireworks display in 1 1/2 hours. The place we sat was no where near the display. When asked if they had an express checkout lane for the purchase of one item, they said yeah the shortest line we could find in the store. After speaking with several other "guests" that day we were told they had been treated in the same manner. This was not like my prior visits of long ago. Shame on Disney and the way they allow their employees to treat guests now including those with disabilities. Do not go to Disneyland and waste your money.

Along with Epcot Disneyland is the greatest theme park I ever been to. I can't wait for the 50th anniversary to come. DCA was okay but Disneyland is so great I'll give it 5 stars.

I visited Disneyland when I was very young, then got to go back 30 years later. I was amazed that so little had changed. Even the trash receptacles looked like the exact same ones. Although there were a few new rides (and some old ones no longer there), it was so much like it had been years ago that it was like stepping into a time capsule. It's very clean & if you don't waste your money on the overpriced refreshment stands, it's worth the money. I'm glad I got to take my own children to walk through nearly the same experience I'd had so long ago.

What a magnificent Park!!! The cast members are polite and helpful (99% of the time), and you are blessed with great California weather. Take advantage of the FastPass system...they will always pay off. Best value restaurants to go to are Pizza Port in Tomorrowland and Cafe Del Zocolo in Fronteirland. Great food. Stay away from anyplace that serves burgers and fries....if you need such an apertife, try Award Wieners at Disney California Adventure....or pretty much any other restaurant. I worked for the park for nearly 10 years...in the 90's...and I noticed that pretty much every restaurant built after Pizza Port actually had taste and value.....all others stear clear of. Want a good burger....go to MacDonalds across the street ( it not Disney owned....so you are not paying outrageous prices like at the MCD in Disneyworld).

Let me start by saying that I have never been to DisneyWorld in Florida so my Disneyland experience might be different to someone who can compare the two but the times that I have been to Disneyland, I loved it. I went a couple of times as a kid and it was my heaven. I would run around taking my picture (all embarssed but so excited) with characters like Alice In Wonderland, Snow White, Micky. I loved the rides, the stores, the shows. It is really hard to remember a lot from back then but when I was a freshman in college, I met my family (ages ranging from 19-8)there for Easter. We had these passes that got us into the park at 6am before the gates were open to the public and could ride the rides with no lines. It was pretty hard waking up but well worth it. It was right when the Indiana Jones ride came out and the line was usually 3 hours long but we rode it 3 times. It was great. My favorite rides include, Magic Mountain, The Jungle Ride, It's a Small World (I know it may ann... Read more

If you're in the LA region and you've never been before you've gotta go to Disneyland, I don't care how old you are. I went when I was about 18 and even though I hate crowds, and that's one thing you're sure to experience, I still had a great time. I don't know that I'd go back again and again but it's just such a wacked out place with so much going on it's almost worth going just for the people watching. Not to mention that they've got some great rides there as well.

This park is good, but not great. I went here when I was in college and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would, but it still did not live up to expectations. It was not that clean, the lines were huge and for some reason, it did not live up to the Disney park in Florida. It had almost all of teh same rides and features, but it just was not the saem. It was really expensive too - maybe I am remembering that because i was a college freshman at the time, but I would have been able to have like 3 or 4 more crazy night in Tia Juana for the same amount of cash I dropped at this park.
