Dido

I like lisening to her sometimes because the music just gets you all calm and yeah.

Dido is dull, Dull, DUll, DULl, DULL!!!  Nothing worth mentioning about her at all, she is one of the most boring artists on this planet, you hear one of her songs, and you have heard her full repertoire.

I don't understand why she is even on this list. Her only interesting song was on Eminem's album.

Bit of a one-trick pony as all her tunes sound pretty similar. As for being on the 'alternative' list she's so middle of the road she'll get run over from both directions

She is on Arista Records (a division of Sony/BMG, the largest record company in the world) and sells 10's of millions of records. My question therefore is - what is she independant of, or alternative to?

Now just because the sample was perfect for the eminem song, doesn't mean the whole song is good. It stinks and that whole album does. My sister has it and I tease her all the time about it.

I've had dido's cd since the first day it came out in 1999, although i've since grown tired of listening to a great deal of her songs, once in a while i like to listen to them, she has amazing vocal ability especially if you've heard her in concert.

Ahh!! she is sailing down the dreaded mainstream!!!...Alas..I enjoy Dido's music very much. Well I used to enjoy that Thank You song, now whenever I hear it I pretty much want to puke. Her songs really are quite good, with unique vocals that make, for the most part, a pleasurable listening experience. I got her CD right when it came out(many moons ago) and listened to it a lot (Slide and No Angel being my favorites). I just can't wait to see what her next CD will bring. Hopefully not cater to the masses trash like Blink 182.
