I have a Mitsubishi 60"LCD that would not power up. I explained to Dean what the TV was and was not doing. He explained to me it could be a number of things that would cause the TV to not function. I scheduled an appointment for him to come out and troubleshoot the problem. After we hung up, it wasn't 10 minutes later, Dean called me back. He had downloaded the manual and research the problems. He had me perform some troubleshooting technics on the TV. Within minutes my TV turned on! I think most other technicians would have taken advantage of the situation by coming out to bill for service and parts. Dean did not charge me for his expertise. He demonstrated honesty and a concern for his customers. I will tell all my friends about this experience. Thanks Dean!!

My Mitsubishi 65" TV has needed a few new bulbs through the 2 years of it's life. Dean repaired the first bulb VERY quickly and at a very good price. After more issues with the TV, Dean provided excellent service. I will use Dean for all TV my repairs. The new store is very easy to find and very good looking.

Dean came out to reapir our Sony Video Scope 2 Tuner PIP. Given this is Christmas time we wanted to save a little money and not be forced to buy a new TV. Dean helped us - instead of costing $800 for a new 52" TV, it cost us $350 to repair our current 52". And the best part is he cleaned the unit and it is now working like a brand new TV straight off the showroom floor. (It only took him 30 minutes to do all of this) We are very impressed with Dean and highly recommend him to all our friends and family.

Dean came out and repaired my 55" Mitsubishi projection HDTV on 08-10-2009. As soon as he saw the TV's picture, he knew exactly what the problem was. I was expecting the worst, and it turned out to be a board. I went from thinking this was an $800 repair to a gun, to a $300 board replacement. He was finished in 45 minutes, and I had a brand new picture. The TV had not look that good since I bought it in 2001. Last week, almost exactly 1 month after the board was replaced, the TV went back to the bad picture. I called Dean to report the warranty claim. He was very re-assuring and said that he would have someone out asap. His service tech came out, recognized the board damage, and replaced it under warranty. They made no attempt to try to blame it on something else so they could charge me. It was a bad board and they took care of it. I have my great picture again and I feel assured that if something goes wrong, I have support. I am very happy and impressed with the professionalism an... Read more

I first went thru the service department where I purchased my 60" Sony TV and the earliest they could send someone out to check the TV was 12 days from the day I called which was Monday Sept. 7, 2009. They also wanted a service charge of $150. I called Dean TV repair on Tuesday at 9:30 and they had someone at my home before 11:00 and the service charge was only $50. By 11:30 my TV was repaired. After it was fixed he offered to remove the back of my TV and cleaned it for me without any additional charge. He also took the time to explain how I can get the lamp to last longer.

I have a Toshiba 43H70 - a model I bought in 2000. I called Dean and - based on my description and limited online research - he instantly knew what the problem was (he said he had owned the exact same model at one time) and said it would be an easy fix. I called on a Thursday and he came over on Saturday. Fix-it price was $295 and he and his assistant diagnosed and fixed the set in about 40 minutes. The real bonus was when I asked him how much it would cost to clean the TV. He said $20. As an added bonus, after the cleaning, he entered the service menu and made convergence adjustments. As a result, the set looks better than it EVER has. The money was well worth it. Very highly recommended.

Dean was courteous and provided quick and efficient service. I have a 65in. Mitsubishi HDTV that wouldn't turn on. Dean was able to assess the problem over the phone and came prepared with parts to fix the problem. His quote for repair was fair and he was able to repair the problem the same day of his initial visit. Dean guarantees his work for 90days and offered a 10% discount off the total quote for being a 1st time customer. He was in and out of my home in 45min with my tv working as good as new! Thank you Dean...and my kids thank you a million times over!

I advertised my TV for sale becuase I did not want to deal wih repairs especially after getting expensive quotes. Dean himself replied to my sales add stating he could fix it for a reasonable price, his quote was 50% lower than all others - this was a no brainer for me, I scheduled to have him repair my TV. He got to my house on time and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Good quality and affordable service is hard to find, he is a keeper. GREAT JOB! I highly recommend Dean TV and Electronic services.

I called and spoke with Dinh on a Saturday and was able to have him come out to my house on Monday. The fact that other places I had called did not respond or told me that I would have to bring my TV in was my initial deciding factor. Everyone else wanted me to bring in my TV and quoted me anywhere from $85-$200 just to find out what the problem was. Dean TV Repair only charges $50 to diagnose the problem. Within 20 minutes of Dinh arriving he had already figured out the problem and removed the faulty part and told me what the problem was. The only thing I had to do was wait for the part he ordered to arrive. He arrived at my house on Wednesday installed the part all within less than 30 minutes. Not only was the service quick it ended up costing me less than going somewhere else. I highly recommend Dean TV Repair and if another issue should arrive I will certainly be calling him again.

Dean saved me $700. I purchased a 50" RCA DLP Scenium tv about two years ago and didn't start using it until March '07. The picture went out around July '08. Estimates all over said it would almost be easier to just buy a new television. I had received a couple of misdiagnoses from RCA and a couple of local repair services and after spending $100 to attempt to fix the set I saw Dean's ad. He came out to my home, examined the tv and gave me an immediate diagnosis for $50. He gave me an estimate on the cost of repair at $325 and took the set back to his shop to repair it. He advised me up front that it could take up to a week to repair it depending on how long he had to wait for the part. Exactly one week later I had an email from Dean saying my tv was fixed! He brought the set back out and it works as wonderfully as I remembered it did before it went kaput. Dean was very professional, and saved me about $700 on the repair. I plan on using him as long as he is in business and ... Read more

Our Sony Trinitron went out on Christmas Eve. On the 26th I found Dean's TV Repair in City Search. I called him after reading the excellent reviews - specifically the one from just days before with the same TV and exact same problem. After we called him, our TV was fixed within a couple of hours. Dean is prompt and extremely knowledgeable. He told us exactly what it would cost before he did the work and he did a great job. We will recommend Dean to anyone who has a TV repair need. Thank you, Dean, -Dan

Dean TV is awesome. My wife & I's 35" Sony Trinitron went out suddenly, and we don't have a lot of money. So we just started hoping to find a really really good deal on a new TV or repair shop. Every shop wanted to charge an arm & a leg, and wanted me to take a 150 lb. plus TV to them. I found Dean TV on craigslist; twelve hours later they were here. They diagnosed the problem in about 2 minutes, and have been working for about 10 minutes so far, and they appear to be moving quick & careful. Even though you have to be home for the repairs, it is waaaay worth it. Professional, courteous, quick, cheap, and even a warranty!!! There is not a better person to go to for TV repairs in the Austin area,... trust me. I'm poor and therefore had to search hard core for someone to be able to help us out, and Dean TV was the best choice. We saved somewhere between $75 tp $100. Which, in reality, we couldn't have afforded. So if it wasn't for Dean TV, we wouldn't have a working TV at all. They ju... Read more

What more need be said -- oh, yes - cost is reasonable. Large screen (48 inch) Mitsubishi died. Others wanted it brought in to their shop - to be left there for days - what am I a moving man, what no loaner? Use again? Yes! Recommend? Duh!

When our 6 year old, 53" Sony rear-projection HD TV died I visited two repair shops in Austin, both of whom suggested that we discard the TV and buy one of their new models. The best-known of the two shops quoted $350 to pick up our 280 lb. set, provide a estimate, and dispose of it if not economical to repair. We were about to recycle the TV when I found an ad for Dean TV in Pflugerville. Dean quoted a very reasonable charge to visit our home and provide an estimate. He came out the day we called, repaired the set in about an hour while I watched, soldered in brand new Sony parts, and gave us the old parts to keep or throw out. The TV is now working like new, there's a 45-day warranty on the repair, and the cost was almost exactly the same as the estimate and disposal fee (but no repair) at the other shop. Note that Dean needed our exact TV model number before he came out, presumably to have the right parts on hand.
