etched in my brain as the annoying "amore" song whenever I'd go to the olive gardens, that, and the irritating "dean martins toast" guy on late night infomercials.

Far too underrated because he had the talent for making it all look so easy. One of the most beautiful voices that ever was.

Good easy to listen to voice and had lots of great songs. He was especially good if you had a few and were feeling nostalgic.

Dean was the king of cool, all the way. I enjoy his music, along with many other 50's and 60's pop stars. Too bad we don't have singers like him today. I miss that genre. Memories are made of this.

That old drunk could sing well, most of the time.

although I really like Dean Martin I don't think that he should be under rock. He is completely classic and the king of cool. Anyone who thinks otherwise is blind and probably mentally stupid.

Dean was a moronic twerp. There's thousands of guys singing in the shower right now who have better pipes than this clown. Very oldfashioned type of singer, even when he was young. This guy, like Sinatra, was Old Hat in 1950, yet continued to hang on for decades more, entertaining the culturally challenged.

Dean was the man. But this list is too broad.

Dean Martin had that cool, sauve way about him when he sang. He has a good singing voice and gave us such hits of the time as That's Amore, and Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime. he reminds me a bit of Perry Como with his singing style. I wish that RATEITALL would break down and put separte categories for all of these singers musicians etc, like they did with tv. shows. It is really not fair to have all these singers lumped all together.

As Dean used to sing "Everybody loves somebody sometime" and my Italian mother lived Dean Martin. he was an enjoyable entertainer. There was nothing not to like.

I believe Dean was one of the most underrated performers ever. He was the real talent of Martin & Lewis and The Rat Pack. After he split with Lewis, Dean made a variety of DIFFERENT movies showing his wide range of abilities, as far as I can tell Lewis just kept making the same movie over and over and over. As for his singing abliilt he was THE best EVER. And as a human being the man was a real sweetie.

It's really hard to rate Dean Martin since he was not part of my generation. But if I would give an unbiased perspective. He was a great smooth and sultry tenor. He dressed sharp and not a bad actor either. It's too bad his life wasn't that easy toward the end, losing his son and getting cancer.

Oh, common he's Dean. That says it all, I'd live forever in his voice. He's the most under-rated singer I've ever known, Wow he's great I mean WOW!

Dean is my number one singer of all time. I never get tired of listening to his CDs. Those of you who gave him a terrible rating are wrong. His voice was one of the best of all time.

On another list, rated much higher, but Dino as a rocker? Frank, maybe. Not Dean. On this list he has to be lower (or better yet, off of it all together).

I'm only 42, but I'm a hugh Dean Martin fan, thanks to hearing my parents play his records all the time when I was growing up! What a voice he had, and not a bad actor either!! The coolest!

Dean Martin stole my heart many years ago when I decided to check out my mother's record collection and played his album for the first time. I was probably about around 9 or 10 at the time but even then I knew he had a great voice and the looks to match (this may be one reason I've always been a sucker for dark gorgeous Italians!). He was also no slouch as an actor and comedian. His TV show was hilarious and the lovable drunk thing worked well for him - though I think most people had no trouble seeing the sweet guy and great entertainer behind the act. I have his greatest hits on CD now and, after all these years, can still become entranced listening to that soothing, sexy voice … ahhhh, that's amore'!

Look, Dean was cool, but there's something really wrong with this list. It's too broad. How the hell can I objectively compare Dean Martin and someone like the Rolling Stones on a list? Makes no sense at all.

Two words to describe Dean Martin : The Coolest

It was Dino who knocked off those phonies from Liverpool (Bealtes) from the Number One position in 1964, during their so-called height. Just for that, Dino get 5 stars.

If Dean Martin had concentrated more on his music career rather than movies, he would had been bigger than Sinatra or Tony Bennett. Every song he made was of supreme quality.

By far, the King of Cool. Sinatra had the following, but Dino had the voice. He sang a song with such heart that every word seems to melt your ears. Definetly one of the best singers, ever.
