Sun Dec 06 2009Geared toward non-dancers, the Latin Workout class at Alpharetta’s Daza Dance Academy incorporates various Latin dances like cha cha, rumba, salsa and samba in an hour-long session that is invigorating, fun and not a bit intimidating. Instructor Melbin de la Cruz went over each dance step-by-step before cranking up the music so we could give it a whirl. Though the tempo of the class seemed to start slow, I felt my heart rate increasing with each passing minute, and the hour flew by before I knew it. By the grand finale, the fast-paced merengue, my blood was really flowing and I was feeling the effects of a true aerobic workout. The Latin dances particularly target your core muscles and your hips, said de la Cruz, pointing out that even the rumba, the slowest of the moves, increases core muscle control. Of course, an added benefit for repeat attendees is an overall increase in physical fitness and improved rhythm as you become more comfortable with the moves, making this an excellent op... Read more

Wed Nov 18 2009I have been taking salsa dance lessons and bellydancing lessons and I am having the greatest time! Daza Dance is a gorgeous brand new dance studio located in the Alpharetta area- there are 5 ballrooms and the main one is 4,000 sq ft! I took private salsa lessons with Antonio and he is so patient and such a quality instructor. It was so much fun being able to pick up on all the moves and practice with him regularly. I now feel confident to go out and salsa dance at a salsa club only after a few lessons! I also take bellydancing w/ Anne Marie and that is a great ab workout too. She is such a wonderful dance teacher and just amazing to watch her perform and teach us her choreography. I definitely recommend Daza Dance to anyone who is looking to try something different, fun, sexy and uplifting!

Wed Nov 18 2009If you want to learn to dance, this IS the place to go. Their instructors are world class and they have group classes that make learning to dance very affordable. The facility is unlike any other that I have seen. Everything is "state of the art" and you'll feel very welcome from the moment you walk in and meet the front desk staff to the owners Antonio and Liz! Forget all the other dance studios, this is the one that you want to go to!

Sat Nov 07 2009Daza Dance is the most amazing studio in the southeast! From the minute you walk in the door, you can feel the energy! The vibrant colors on the walls make you immediately feel energized. Daza is under the direction of Liz Chester and Antonio Daza (quite possibly the most passionate leaders in the industry). The studio and staff are very welcoming and make you feel right at home, even those of us that are not experienced dancers. The amount of talent in this studio is not to be underestimated, there are several world champion dancers. If you are looking for a FUN way to burn some extra calories, there are several fitness classes available also. This place gets 10 stars from me!!!!! Check them out on the web at dazadanceatlanta.

Sun Feb 10 2008This store has great choices of Phillip Lim and Development. They also sell the super-cute bing-bang jewelry line. The people who work there are really nice and always helpful. If you like NYC style and aren't afraid to be ahead of the trends of most people in the Atlanta area you should def. shop here!

Thu Apr 06 2006I came across Bloom by chance and it has quickly become one of my favorite stores. They have a lot of my favorite brands that are pretty hard to find, and they have a really good selection of jeans as well. The girls that work there are always really, really helpful too! Truly a gem!

Tue Jul 12 2005When a friend told me about Bloom, I was excited to hear about a trendy store being in the burbs. I tend to drive to Atlanta to go shopping, but as soon as I visited Bloom, I don't have to drive all that way for trendy clothes. The owners there are so nice and are very helpful. It is like having a personal shopper when you visit the store. They know all of their customers by name and are very friendly. The clothes there are upscale, but it is worth every penny. They also have the neatest accessories. If you haven't visited Bloom, you have got to stop by.

Wed Jun 29 2005In Short Boasting an edgy feel and lines that are hard to find elsewhere, this women's clothing store has a lofty look and hip pieces from the likes of Primp, Emmm and Mint. More than 10 denim lines and oodles of tees make for hip weekend wear, while vintage-inspired lace tops and paint-splattered hoodies add panache to most any occasion.

Mon May 30 2005Bloom Boutique is the trendiest in Alpharetta. It has the city flare in the sub-urban area. The clothes are very trendy. They have the lastest designer jeans and clothes. The girls there are very friendly. I enjoy shopping at the store.

Fri Apr 22 2005I recently discovered this great new store and I am so glad I did! I live in Alpharetta so I am always driving to Buckhead to get the best stuff because there are no decent places to shop up here, but no longer! This store carries a lot of my favorite designers, really unique stuff. It is also a smaller, more intimate setting and the owners are really sweet and very helpful. I can't say enough- this is definitely my new favorite store!
