Yeah so I've been taking DayQuil gel caps for my current cold. They don't do anything. I feel equally vile whether or not I've taken them, and I gave them a good honest try to. All they do is piss me off cause I have to wait six hours before I can safely take something else.

Most people would say that something "no longer" works for them, but neither DayQuil nor Nyquil ever worked for me.

Dayquil does not work for me anymore. It used to, it must have been that pseudo stuff they took out of it that worked so well. Now I am trying to find another brand to give me some relief.

I used to feel confident that DayQuil was the best cold medicine out there, but now I'm not so sure. If you're wondering what I'm doing on here during business hours, it's because I'm home sick.  First I had nausea and a belly ache, then I was sneezing all day at work (very embarrassing), then when I got off work yesterday I was congested to a point of utter misery, so I took some DayQuil LiquiCaps, which usually fix the job.  But, it didn't do squat.  Turns out that DayQuil was one of the medications that took out the pseudoephedrine because some people found out how to make meth out of it.  I don't blame the company for changing out the psedoephedrine, but the stuff that they put in there instead is pretty useless.   My sweet husband went out to get some CVS-brand nasal decongestant with pseudophedrine in it (which apparently you have to get behind a counter now).  It didn't clear up everything, I still feel like crap, but I could breathe well enough to sleep, so it made me happy. ... This stuff doesn't work worth a @#$%!. I'm miserably stuffed up, and have been pounding back the Dayquil - with absolutely zero relief. My head still feels like a cement block. Grr.

this med is great if you need to stay awake and feel bad. it takes care of all ur problems with a cold/flue without a drowsyness side affect. so if u feel like crap an have to be awake for whatever reason i'd say this is a lifesaver!!

though a few people swear by this stuff if you have the need to be somewhere. this is apparently one of the best cold medicine if you need to go to work

Dayquil is tight. It has never failed me, I pop a few of them in and I'm ready to start my day.

DayQuil is great! It numbs your throat if it's sore, gets rid of any coughing, sneezing, congestion, etc.! It doesn't make me groggy either, which is a PLUS when you're in college. (It doesn't taste like candy...but it sure does work really well! I switched to DayQuil after Robitussin stopped working for me).

I think DayQuil works just as well as NyQuil and it doesn't leave you feeling sleepy.

Even nastier tasting than Nyquil (if that's possible) but I guess it did make me feel better in the long run.

As a hospital employee, cold symptoms are never a welcome sight to my patients. So DayQuil is what I use and it really makes you forget you have a cold.

The only way to survive a cold during the day. Liquid is very mentholated and hard to swallow, but gel caps work just as well. I always search out DayQuil if I'm sick and have to work or function. Saved my trip to New York!

This is a great product. This is the only cold and flu medicine (besides Nyquil) that I would take. It is very helpful in relieving my symptoms and is non drowsy, which is a must during the day.

I know that our bodies react to medicines differently. But, DayQuil is so heavily medicating, that dispite its claims to allow you to get you through the day it will likely put you out.

DayQuil makes it possible for me to get out of bed and function when I'm really sick but have to do something. I haven't found any other cold medicine that works as well.

Dayquil really does a good job of clearing your sinuses and getting rid of your cold symptoms pretty fast. It doesn't make you drowsy and it makes you feel a lot better when you are sick. It works even better if you take Nyquil at night.

Haven't tried it myself, but if it's a product from the people who brought us NyQuil, it's gotta be good on reputation alone.
