I ordered my bridesmaids' dresses from David's Bridal for my wedding in June '08. On my first visit to the store, three of my bridesmaids and I were ignored for most of our visit. When we were finally assigned a consultant, she walked away from us as we were finalizing with her the detials of our order, and we had to find another consultant to complete our order. When I arrived at the store two months later to pick up the dresses, they only gave me five of the six we had ordered. They told me the sixth was "missing." We finally got to the bottom of the missing dress (after many phone calls, a faxed receipt, and another trip to the store), only to discover that one of the consultants had improperly processed our paperwork. I am very thankful that I purchased my bridal gown from Bridal Boutique in Baton Rouge!

In Short A chic, sleek boutique, it's not. But those willing to look carefully will likely find a big-time bargain. The staff is helpful and knows the merchandise but doesn't provide extensive one-on-one attention or advice. Stores (particularly on weekends) can be swamped with brides-to-be. David's specializes in beaded satin A-lines and simple lace sheaths that just hit the $500 mark. Most labels are tasteful but of medium-quality: Gloria Vanderbilt, Lady Eleanor, Oleg Cassini and the likes.

If you don't have an appointment, they don't want your business. Walk-ins not welcome. There are 28 dressing rooms, ten people in the entire store, but no dressing rooms available. How does that add up? When you decide to walk out of the door then they decide to try and sell you something. Go anywhere else but here.

I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance for a tuesday. I might as well have not made an appointment. The person assigned to me was not only unhelpful but also rude. She never even pulled a dress for me. I left after 30 minuets and they didn't even know. She called later that day and left a messege on my machine apologizing for not helping me because she got busy on the register, but I feel I was entitled to some service or at least an explanation before I left. Another thing is that they don't have any petite gowns.

This is the worst bridal store I have ever visited! The 'consultants' aren't helpful at all. My friend and I went in there and were treated like we were 12 year olds playing dress-up. It was extremely insulting, and I personally don't understand how they stay in business. My friend picked out a dress to try on, because no one even offered to assist us. As she was trying the dress on, we were fussed at for not approaching a consultant first. It was horrible, they were so rude!

DO NOT USE DAVID'S BRIDAL. I am 24 years old and when I walked in with my Maid of Honor, who will also be a bride 2 months after me and was also gown shopping, the customers service reps treated us like little kids coming to play dress-up in the pretty dresses. David's Bridal has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered and I will NEVER, EVER spend a DIME in the place. The CSR approached us ans spoke condescendingly to both me and my Maid of Honor. She was haughty, arrogant, and down right rude. Spend the extra money and go to your LOCAL bridal shop, rather than some national chain that doesn't give a flip about their customers
