David Original Sunflower Seeds

I used two eat a couple bags of the kernels a day - no more. Over the past two months every bag I get has way too many VERY BAD tasting kernels such that I have to get a drink to wash the nasty taste out of my mouth. I though it was just a bad batch but after traveling through a few different states and having the same experience with every bag it is evident that Conagra has gone to a lesser supplier or a lesser quality seed. Conagra just lost my business.

Tooo much salt coating on outer shell. Tooo many bitter seeds

Man Amazon sucks....our seed were stale and old. There is other places to buy these that will actually answer the phone too.

These are the best sunflower seeds around! They are always fresh and crispy, plenty nutty, and salty.

i like 'em.  there's enough salt to give 'em kick.  every once in a while there's a burned one, but it's forgivable.  i'll keep buying david.

Way too salty and not enough flovor. I also hate that these are the only brand most stores around me carry.

David seeds are pretty gross now-a-days. They did used to be high quality large seeds, now they are small, skinny, and often burnt. I get more rotten tasting seeds from david than any other brand. I have switched to Spitz and they are MUCH better, I also highly prefer Kroger brand seeds over David. Yes, thats right, generic seeds are better than David seeds.

I find that all of the davids seeds are gross--they contain more bark and burnt seeds than any other that i have tried--their flavored versions have good flavoring but still the same problem--i have tried them several times thinking that i must have just got a bad bag but i have finally given up on these seeds.

2 = bad, well that is a little harsh, but they are not that good. they are just more popular

i hate frite-lay. when im at the store and going to get david's, and i find out that they are all out i will not buy them. i aways loved them and eat them whereever i frrl like doing that at.

Im 51 and have been eating davids seeds since I was a kid but now THEY SUCK! what the heck happened to the quality???? they used to be big round seeds now their skinny,stale and tiny!! what happened to the jumbo seeds that were original?? I heard they sell jumbos but I havent seen them...Im so dissapointed at the quality anymore..they look like they suffered a drought or something!!! theyre not even worth shelling, I might as well buy frito lay their just as crappy!

These are terrible. Fisher far out ranks these. These are stale and taste like old shoes.

davids are not as good as frito lay but the new jumbo seeds davids offers when you can find them are the best I've ever tasted. There are no bad ones and the nut is like a meal. A excellent choice compared to the regular ones

Theese seeds are good. Few burnt and few that taste bad. Theeese seeds are the most popular, and for good reason, they have so many different flavors out now. try davids ''jumbos'' for something TASTY! Buy today

Original is the only semi-decent flavor they make, but they still have NOTHING on Spitz seeds.

I thinks david's seeds are awful compared to Frito Lays. They are too salty and the kernels are so tiny! All that cracking and spitting and all you are rewarded with is a teency little bland nut! Fritolay's kernals are nuttier tasting and huge by comparison, and not too salty!

Just about as bad as seeds can get. I think there is some real ignorant seed eaters in this place. David, Frito Lay, and Fisher seeds, all in the top 5? What the F*#$! If you've never tried Klein Brothers Jumbo seeds, you don't know what a good seed tastes like. I import 'em by the case: www.jumbosnacks.net.

Davids seeds are the most consistantly fresh I have tasted. The low sodium taste the same without maxing out your sodium intake.

Too salty, and boring, dakota kid seeds at least have some flavor other than salt.

i love eating sunflowers seeds,their good if you want a snack and you dont have any thing to do.(hint)they are good with coke.

I like the flavors however this the best of the product line. The salt/freshness of this seed makes it distinctly better than Fisher and noticeably better than Frito Lay (a strong up and comer as you would expect from them). These people do a good job, try their Ranch flavored kernel for something tasty.

Mmmmm....Yum! David's! All that delicious salt to suck off. With this brand, You can do what the bag says: Eat, Spit, Be happy.

I must agree with PBeavr that DAVID sunflower seeds are the best out of all the brands that I have tried. Even though I like David Original, I still like the flavored ones alot better. :)
