This company is owned by some of the oldest spammers and pornographers on the internet. They do many illegal activities (like double charging credit cards) because they think that it is difficult to trace online and most people are too intimidated to do anything about this stuff. It does not surprise me that they have false profiles on the website. 10 million subscribers? Probably 99.99% of those are false profiles created to attract the unsuspecting public. Stay away from these shady money grubbers by all means. Meir Spamberg and Kris Spamvino. Stay clear.

They tried to pull the old "bait and switch" on me. They made a guy that was everything I wanted in a man, right down to the star sign (I said I liked on my profile) and had him mail and mail me. Even though free members can't reply. Then I couldn't figure out how to delete my profile, so I made it into an add for Plenty of fish, finally I got banned.... That was quite the dirty trick... He wasn't real.. Intelligent, good looking and normal yet never figured out that I needed his email to talk. Just kept sending me long and sweet emails, like I was talking back... WRONG! I'd make a new profile saying I'm the opposite to see but I think I am IP banned lol

I'm giving this dating site one star, but I would prefer to give it NO STAR. They have tons of tricks to prevent you from canceling the site within the 72 hour required period. Their customer service department is almost unable to reach. When you do reach them, they aren't very helpful. Keep away.

WARNING - this company is totally shady. I just had a $69.95 and $1.00 charge hit my checking account. I did NOT authorize these charges. After multiple searches, etc., I finally contacted the Florida State Attorney General office and was given this number for date.com 305-938-4400. Once I called, I was forced to go through recorded messages, a bogus email account was given, etc. I finally reached someone named Peter who treated me like I was an imbecile. This company borderlines as being a total FRAUD. If you find yourself in this situation, call the Miami Dade Consumer Protection office at 305-375-3677. You can also go to their website and fill-out their online form, which they say is the fastest way to get some sort of action. To fill out a form, go to: http://www.miamidade.gov/csd/complaint_form.asp Consumers need protection from these sort of rip-off companies, but it will take complaints before our government will intervene. Please fill out a form or call the number if you... Read more

If you need to contact someone about this Date.com crapola. Call: Company Management: Meir Strahlberg (CEO) Phone: 877-224-3283 I spoke with "him" whoever he is and threatened him to report him to the BBB as well as with to the FCC, because of the Spam I have been receiving from them, which does not contain an unsubscribe link. I gave him my email address and was told that it was taken care of. I am hopeful that my telephone call will remedy the situation.

Completely a waste of money. Fraudulent profiles and people that send you fake emails to get you to join. When I joined I knew what these sites were like so I am not surprised or angry. The only thing that aggravated me was that they assumed I was stupid enough to believe the fake interest emails they sent me from beautiful women 15 years younger than me. What the heck. I kicked the tires for a week and looked around. If you are a guy and you think you have a chance to find the women you are looking for here you are sadly mistaken. Unless the woman you are looking for is about 75 to 100 pounds over-weight and extremely unattractive. Hey, I'm a realist and this an honest review from an honest guy. I never realized how obese Americans were until I joined this website. If they say average body type in their profile they are only about 30 to 50 pound over weight. If they say a few extra pounds............ The bottom line is for your average guy none of these dating sites are any good. You ... Read more

Misleading signup procedure suggests the service is free but in reality it is quite expensive. The searches for some reason consistantly brought up many people who did not match my criteria. I entered a lot of data to find out the minimum cost would be $30 for one month. The majority of the people shown had not been active for some time.
