Sat Sep 10 2011In Kansas City, I wonder how they stay in business. Super slow pharmacy lines. Inacurate filling of perscriptions (twice got only 120 pills instead of 180. 100 to a bottle and gave me the wrong leftovers). Poor customer service. They really hate to take Pharmacy company coupons. Look for every reason to try not to take them. Twice have had them refused at the Red Bridge CVS only to have them accepted elsewhere. Red Bridge CVS pharmisist really hates to deal with the public. Hides behind the mounds of unsorted perscriptions. Let's the unknowledgable staff deal. Have NEVER seen her consult about a perscription while waiting in the long lines.

Tue Apr 19 2011Hey, i am a cVS shopper and use them to fill my scripts. I switched to CVS just because all the pharmicist at my CVS are so friendly and will answer any question i have. I would rather wait an extra few min, just to make sure my scrip is right. Those people who get all aggresive over an extra few min, really piss me off. You all have the best coustermer service and that keeps me comming back. Thanks for your great service and try not to stress on those coustomers who are really big A**holes. P.S. i go to the CVS at the corner of 17 and Kingsley, in Jacksonville FL

Tue Apr 12 2011I recently went to my favorite CVS drug store to have my monthly medications filled, but there was a problem! I was shorted 10 of my Morphine & given 10 extra of my hormone pills. I have called everyday since I had them filled, & of course I keep getting told to call back tomorrow! This is now Tuesday & I had my medications filled the previous Friday! As soon as I noticed this error (shortly after I left the pharmacy/store, I counted them myself. That is how I noticed this "mix-up". I do not abuse my medication, I need them on a monthly basis! I have decided to have them count out my meds in front of me from now on. Now, my main concern is my husband & many others that may be receiving the wrong medications. For example, my husband takes meds for high blood pressure & seizures, which means that just the slightest mix up in his meds can cost him his life! So, take this as a warning & have them count your medicines before you leave the pharmacy, because once you walk out the door it is ... Read more

Thu Apr 07 2011I am a pharmacist for CVS. I recently graduated this past summer, excited to start my career. I have worked for CVS in the front store, as a tech, an intern, and now a pharmacist over the past 7 years. Moral of employees across the boards has fell over the last several years. It started out great and I truly loved the company for the first few years, but recently, I can tell you that CVS does not care about their employees. I work in a store with usually only one technician helping me. That means I do basically everything, and get bitched out for everything along the way. I'm sorry if I cannot have your prescription ready in 15 minutes (when I told you 30 to an hour), especially when we are so short staffed. I am not putting french fries in paper bags here! If I make a mistake, it could kill you! So when I'm running between drive thru, pick up, production, and drop off, letting people in the bathrooms, and answering any drug related questions along the way-please don't yell at me when ... Fri Mar 11 2011This store is for hood rats, porch monkeys Tried to make a money order purchase to which "Jessica" said it would be .99 cents. She then asked me for ID. Actually in S-LLLL-OOOOO-W Motion explained to her that I would like to make a purchase with cash, please sell me a money order. She says, "I know, I need to scan your ID first." Picked my money up and as I was leaving the store *bi-passing the policeman in patrol car canvassing the location* One black lady in line, yelled to me, "You N DA HOOD!" as if she were proud, sheeeeesh black people, you never learn. Police man watching CVS store? Was that the first clue to Indianapolis' west side crime? Tue Mar 01 2011How is it ALL CVS Stores in the Southern Tier of New York are terrible?!! The stores are cluttered with merchandise. They care more about their candy and "as seen on TV" items than pharmacy and over the counter meds. The employees have no enthusiasm and don't care. All they want is "your CVS card." They don't greet you when you enter the store. They just stand there and look bored. The pharmacy looks stressed out! Management is to blame for this! I have called to complain many times and nothing is done. When you are considering a drug store, try Walgreens. They greet you, they look good, the pharmacist actually will walk you to the product that you are looking for and the store is a pleasure to shop in. I predict C V S will not survive if this keeps up in stores across the country. My brother in Virginia says CVS is even wrose where he lives. Wow!

Fri Feb 04 2011STORE #1411 (Yorktown Center, Falls Church, VA): out of all the CVS Pharmacy stores that i have been to in the DC area, this one (Store #1411 in Yorktown Center) is by far the WORST. I don't really have a problem with the store itself, but the Pharmacy is just awful. I don't understand - - do they hire these people who work in the pharmacy off the street or are they students with no experience? It's mind boggling the type of people they hire. People who have no customer service skills whatsoever. And what is really confusing to me is that this CVS Pharmacy has been at this location for ages (I remember when it was a "People's Drugstore" before they change the name to CVS Pharmacy") and still they don't realize that the busiest times are from 5PM-7PM when people are getting off of work and stopping in to get their prescription. For some reason, the pharmacy workers don't get that these are the busy hours and they have 1 person working the register. while 3 other pharm techs are st... Read more

Wed Jan 19 2011cvs is like five minutes away from my job so i went there with my boyfriend to get some advil for my cramps, my boyfriend grabbed the pills in the store and as we started heading for the check out stand the Manger goes up to my boyfriend and just keeps saying "give them to me" over and over in an angry voice, apparently he thought we were stealing them so he snatches the advil from my bf's hand and violently throws them on the cashiers counter, well we paid for them and went to work but when i opened the bottle most of the pills were smashed so i had to go back after work to exchange them. this was at the CVS in Moreno Valley California on JFK and perris i would suggest to people not to go there in the morning because the manager is a violent dick.

Mon Jan 17 2011I recently phoned in a REFILL of a prescription to the same store. They said it would be ready the next day, but when I got there they were 24 capsules short, and the billing was incorrect. I told them to correct the problem and call me when it was ready. They called 2 days later , but when I went to pick up my prescription, the billing was still wrong. I asked the young lady, "it was billed to worker's comp the last time, what seems to be the problem?' She had no response. Three days later, they called again. This time, I asked what the cost was. When she said $98, i asked why it was not billed to worker's comp. Again, she had no answer, but said she'd get back to me. Sorry, CVS.....three strikes and you are OUT!! Walgreens can handle it.

Sun Jan 16 2011The following review is based on store #1490 located on N Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I would use the following words, which are not nearly all-inclusive, to describe the pharmacy and related customer service: rude, hasty, unflexible, poor listeners, poor direction followers, total lack of communication amoung staff, poor communication with customers, inability to complete requests correctly, disorganized, short-staffed, inefficient. I have been filling my scripts at this location for four months, on a regular basis, approximately every two weeks dealing with them. I do not have insurance, so there are no issues with that; this is a basic exchange of script and return of medications with payment provided. I would have gone elsewhere immediately; unfortunately, since some of my medications are controlled substances, my doctor requires me to use the same pharmacy each time, so I am currently "stuck" with them. They have messed up most of my orders, have lost numerous... Read more

Fri Jan 14 2011Hello...I would like to take a moment and explain to you that the following opinions and statements are based on my local CVS and my experience with the company. I have heard alot of people complain about the CVS Pharmacy employees being rude... that doesnt mean that the individual person is rude..... I really wish every CVS customer could have the experience of being a CVS employee. and I know what you're thinking...oh you work for CVS it cant be that bad. and to that I say you are correct. it could be a lot worse. i could be out in the hot burning sun in the middle of summer digging a ditch. but there is something about working for CVS that just drains a person...im not sure if it's the extremely demanding difficult customer, or if its the fact that you get yelled at and cussed out over something that you have NO control over at all. as far as the Pharmacy goes... yes there are mistakes made but you also have to look at the volume of business. my local CVS is always slammed. there... Thu Dec 23 2010When I go to this store I'm amazed that they actually can get the right pills in the right bottle, the girl behind the counter told me the pharmacist fills almost 400 prescriptions a day and pretty much gets them all correct (not including insurance). When I go there it looks like the pharmacist is over at the drive thru window explaining something, or ringing up cartloads of toilet paper and sodas. I asked the insurance girl how can the pharmacist do everything else and get the pills right too, and she said, just lucky I guess. I asked her why don't you have more help the insurance girl said the manager said he'll hire more help only to replace us after we quit or get fired. She finally fixed my prescription price but when I got home I noticed they had my name spelled wrong.

Tue Dec 07 2010Very terrible! They are cheating. When some items on sale, For example, if u buy 3 dollars items on sale,u gonna get 3 dollars coupon back but actually that items happen to be run out. It happen all the time to me. SO don't waste ur most precious time shopping there.
by bambolina
Sun Oct 24 2010They cheated me out of 5 prescription pills. I didn't notice it until I had two pills left and I was supposed to take two a day for 10 days. I went to the pharmacy and told them about it. They more or less said they couldn't do anything about it and for me to call back two days later when the pharmacist that filled the prescription was there. This was an antibiotic which one is supposed to take the full amount. They are big pink horsepills, and I do not like taking them - so I don't see why they would think I was lying. I see from other complaints that it is pretty common for CVS to do this and also give someone elses prescription to another person..

Wed Oct 20 2010CVS @ 500 GRAND STREET, NEW YORK, NY I have had a couple of incidences with this pharmacy. Their service is incompetent and careless! They gave me someone else's prescription and it is fortunate that I am not blind or incompetent like they are and end up hospitalized or dead from taking someone else's prescription. Please do yourself a favor and do not choose this pharmacy for your prescription needs! Take care.

Wed Oct 13 2010CVS is the most awful company to deal with, they cheat you on the amount of pills you get, they subsitute your meds without informing you. They send letters about your meds through the mail which should be against the privacy act, anyone can read this we all know how the mail works. They call you for no reason, they are nasty, and they are rude and have absolutley no customer service. I was using a small indepentent pharmacy and got great service with no problems. I was forced by my perscription plan to use CVS for maintance drugs. I think I will stop using perscription drugs all together, so I do not have to go out of my way to use CVS and be treated badly, by employees that do not even understand English, and cheat me on my pills!!!!!! And do not use their mail order they will never get it right and tie you up for months!!!

Thu Sep 23 2010Every single time I call ahead of time to get my prescription, it is never ready. I will call at least 5 hours ahead and the robot phone asks always what time I can pick it up. I put 11:00 AM. I get there at 12, giving them an extra hour, and its NOT READY! Whats the point of me even calling if its NEVER READY. The lady at the desk wouldn't even tell me how long I would have to wait. She just said the pharmacist has to check it. Check WHAT! Its birth control pills. They come pre-packaged and you don't even have to count them. How complicated is it to pull them off the shelf and throw them in a bag??? UPDATE: I just switched to Walgreens and guess what!?!? My prescription is cheaper!! its $22 at walgreens compared to $50 at CVS. I can't believe they were ripping me off for so long and I didn't even know it. Plus they are rude, slow, and unprofessional. At Walgreens, the pharmacist even offered to explain to me the directions on the medication. I was shocked. WOW, that ... Read more

Wed Sep 22 2010CVS IS THE WORSE PHARMACY I HAVE EVER EXPERIANCED. THEY LEAVE YOU ON HOLD FOR HOURS AT A TIME, SOMETIMES YOU CAN NOT EVEN GET THROUGH. WHEN YOU GO TO PICK UP MEDICATIONS THEY SOMETIMES GIVE YOU ALL YOUR MEDICINES SOMETIMES NOT SOMETIMES THEY DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I DECIDED ABOUT AFTER TWO MONTHS OF ABSOLUTE NON PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR ON THIER PART IT WAS TIME TO LEAVE CORPORATE DRUGS STORES FOR GOOD AND FIND AND INDEPENDENT PHARMACY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD THAT CARES AND GIVES THE PERSONAL ATTENTION ALL PEOPLE DESERVE. STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT YOUR STRESS LEVEL TO HIT THE ROOF....

Wed Sep 15 2010MY WIFE AND I HAVE HAD A DISMAL TIME WITH THE CVS PHARMACY IN POWELL, OHIO. THEY ARE INCREDIBLY RUDE AND ARGUMENTATIVE, COMMONLY QUESTIONING IN AN INCREDIBLY CONDESCENDING MANNER THE REASON DOCTORS PRESCRIBED THE DRUGS WE WERE ATTEMPTING TO PICK UP FOR OUR KIDS. THEY WOULD ALSO BE EXTREMELY RUDE WHEN WE WOULD BRING IN A SCRIPT WITHIN ONE AND A HALF HOURS OF CLOSING IF WE WANTED IT THE SAME NIGHT. WE ARE A BLENDED FAMILY WITH MANY KIDS WITH DIFFERENT PROBLEMS (ASTHMA, ETC.), AND BOTH OF US ARE PROFESSIONALS (AND WE'RE PLEASANT AND SOMEWHAT INTELLIGENT!). WE TRIED TO WORK WITH THEM FOR APPROXIMATELY A YEAR AS THEY ARE VERY CLOSE TO OUR HOUSE, BUT DO OUR BEST TO AVOID THEM NOW. IT'S WORTH A LONGER DRIVE TO AVOID AN INAPPROPRIATELY UGLY ENCOUNTER AT THE END OF A DAY.

Mon Sep 06 2010i am a transplant patient with over 15 prescriptions every month. I transferred them to the CVS by my house to make it more convient. I have never been happy with the long time it takes to check out every time. Even when I call ahead with a pick up time they are not ready. Today was the last time. I got home and only had 56 of the 95 pills I should have received. I tried to call them and just got the hold music for over an hour telling me the next pharmacist would help me. I tried the toll free number on the web site and it cut me off after telling me they are closed. I dont even know if I have the correct pills. I know the number is not correct. They obviously dont care abuot anything but the money. I will be moving all of my prescription to a pharmacy that can be reached when they make a gross mistake. Dont take a chance with your life don't use this pharmacy.

Thu Aug 19 2010For the third time, I've tried to refill my prescription for Flexeril. The pharmacist says the doctor has not refilled it. The doctor's office says it was filled 10 days ago and why do I need more. Something is very wrong with this pharmacy. I take the same prescription medication each month, and it is always a hassle. They are never all ready at the same time. Their on-line prescription record says it's ready and it's not, or even that it has been picked up when it hasn't. As soon as I can, I'm going to change pharmacies. No rating from me on this CVS Pharmacy on Hewitt Drive in Woodway, Tx.

Sat Jul 31 2010CVS Store # 2874 - 4000 East Bay Drive in Clearwater, Florida SUCKS!! THE EMPLOYEES ARE EXTREMELY LAZY AND RUDE! THEY ALL HAVE SMART MOUTH ATTITUDES ESPECIALLY THE MANAGERS. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE YOUR LUCKY THEY LET YOU SHOP THERE. SHELVES ARE POORLY STOCKED, ALWAYS OUT OF THINGS FOR DAYS OR EVEN WEEKS AT A TIME. THE PRICES ARE ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. ALMOST 5 DOLLARS FOR A 24 COUNT BOTTLE OF EXCEDRIN WHICH IS LESS THAN 4 DOLLARS ANYWHERE ELSE. THEIR TRASH BAGS MUST BE MADE OUT OF GOLD THEY WANT SO MUCH FOR THEM. AND THE PHARMACY, OMG!! , CVS EAST BAY DRIVE PHARMACY IS THE WORST PHARMACY IN THE WORLD!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS WAITING TIMES, EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL PHARMACISTS. I ALWAYS COUNT MY PILLS WHEN I GET HOME AND THERE ALWAYS A COUPLE SHORT AND THATS IF THEY EVEN GIVE ME THE RIGHT PRESCRIPTION. Sun Jul 04 2010This review is about the CVS branch located on pleasant grove/roseville parkway in Roseville, CA. We went there to buy some multi-vitamins and one out of the three remaining Centrum bottle had expiration date of about a year ago. We brought it to notice of the counter clerk and she said this should not happen and apologized. We checked out out Lindt chocolates only to find later that it had expired the month before. We returned it and counter clerk told us that the chocolates do not expire for centuries! I understand that it is partly gimmicky on part of the chocolate companies to have customers discard older stuff so that they can keep selling, but it is interesting how some store owners will justify meaninglessness of expiration dates. But, two items out of two were expired and the store keeper even tried to justify it. I am not going there again.

Sat Jun 05 2010I do not go to a pharmacy to get beach sandals or halloween outfit. But I do want to go to a pharmacy when I want a cold syrup for my kid, skin rash cream, baby formula or even couple of choices in medicated skin lotions. What is wrong with CVS. They have such huge store and it is all filled with crap that has nothing to do with health or healthcare. They isles filled with all junk stuff like patio chairs, shoes, beach outfit... and such.. Why do I have to go to grocery store to get formula for my kid, vitamins for nursing mom... I'm tired of CVS pharmacy now... high time they removed pharmacy from their name. Their pharmacy is not great either... this year I had to change prescription twice for some weird explanation of availability and their cost appears to expensive as well. Hope CVS management is reading this review.

Thu May 27 2010A lawsuit has been filed in the Federal District Court of the United States for the Eastern District of New York, Case No. 10 Civ. 2075, on behalf of a class of current and former ...CVS employees alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York State labor laws. The lawsuit cont...ends that employees at CVS ... See Morestores are subjected to off-the-clock security checks at the end of each shift which can take up to 30 minutes. It also accuses the Rhode Island based company of forcing employees to work through meal and rest breaks without compensation and of failing to pay overtime wages. Mon May 10 2010>While visiting California, I forgot my medication at home. I immediately went to the closes CVS Pharmacy. To my surprise the first attendant did not get my explanation right and only gave me 5 pills for the week forgetting the 2 pills different dosage for the weekend. After paying out of pocket because I had just refilled and the insurance would not pay ,(which was understandable), I notice the two pills were not there. I again explained the situation to a different attendant and she asked the pharmacist who said "yes just loan her the two needed pills". Great but she could not impute it into the computer. After trying several times, the pharmacist asked the original attendant to help put it into the computer which by now my information had been deleted. The young lady rang the pills up but did not print the Extra Care receipt. I mentioned it to her and without a word she scanned the Extra Care card but to nothing. I mentioned it had not printed so she rang up a refund ticket which... Read more

Sun May 09 2010I visited the Redding Ca, Churn Creek store to refill my usual narcotic perscritptions(which I have been having filled for the last 10 years, same dose). I visited a new Dr. since we are new to Redding and was given several new perscriptions including another narcotic which I did not realize was a narcotic since it was taken for nausea. The pharmacist "Mike" told me, after I summoned him due to my confusion over his issue with my perscriptions, my "Doctor is not even a Doctor"(he actually is), and proceded with a tirade that everyone could hear that " these drugs are in the controversial these days", "the DEA has rules....." and on and on. Then when I calmly reiterated my confusion he stood absolutely erect and looked past me ignoring me the entire time. I turned and left before I burst into tears. Once at home and feeling calmer I called and spoke with "Mike" the pharmacist and very matter of factly told him how disrespectfully he had treated me and to please just fill my normal med... Thu May 06 2010Store#3949 On the positive side, I love the fact that you have a 24 hour pharmacy, makeing it the ultimate in convenience. When I entered the pharmacy, I was amazed at how many technitians were in there, and all hard at work, giveing a feel of great productivity. On the negative side, last month, the technitian at the drive thru, had me leave my insurance card with her, when I dropped off my prescription. When I picked the prescription up, the card was not there. I called the pharmacy, and they could not find it. I tried calling, and visiting several times, asking for my card, but according to them, it was invariably lost, and I now have to ask my insurance company, to send me another one. This months prescription, (May/5th), I dropped it off as usual, and when I came to pick it up, the tech told me, that I was one day too early, according to my insurance company. This is a programming error, that has been going on for about four months. They will tell me, that i'm 1-2 or 3 da... Read more

Wed May 05 2010Went to get a prescription for a 90 day supply of diltiazem and the pharmacist gave me a price of $ 133.00 - I told him that was crazy - he said they are pretty competative with other pharmacies - I shopped around and got the exact same quanity of the same medication for $ 12.00 at Walgreen's. Won't be going to CVS anymore. It's no wonder our health care system is a mess and premiums are so high when insurance companies are letting people purchase medications anywhere they want and then the insurance companies are paying out astronomical amounts of money for scripts.

Tue Apr 06 2010CVS Wellington: Store pharmacy manager( Cynthia A Kliphouse) I dropped of two perscriptions the other day. Picked up drove almost home and realized that my blood thinner medication was 70 pills short. The doctor had in very big numbers #100. I am to take 3 a day, but it can very depending how you blood level reacts with food, it is very important to have thing blood with my recent two dvt, and to lung empoli, and some lymphoma issues. However, this Cynthina took it upon herself to on give me 30 as that is was CVS Policy. Policy to short change medication. Do they offer bonuses if you take the pills and sell them to other customers. do they do this with the hard drugs too? I went back in and was only allowed 90 pills. The order was for #100. I guess she will be selling these on Ebay later. If there is a question please call the doctor and not play GOD Cynthia in Wellington. Fri Mar 05 2010One of my minor complaints is when we need to fill a prescription on several occasions they didn't have it on sight, yet their competitors did. Again, that was a minor complaint more of a nuisance. My bigger gripe is with the hard time they give us refilling certain prescriptions. One of the members on my policy requires certain prescriptions for debilitating migraines. All of this is well documented and substantiated, the members neurologist and PCP are well aware of the issue and have prescribed how it should best be handled. However we constantly have problem with CVS "red flagging" the member's as if this member is some type of a drug fiend. This results in calls with our insurance, the doctor… many back and forths, it is time consuming for us, the doctor and his staff. The one thing all parties have been able to confirm is that the difficulty is not with the doctor's office or our insurance, the problem is with CVS. It also makes us uncomfortable because we feel like we a... Read more

Fri Feb 26 2010I have experienced two incidents at CVS in Brooklyn CT the Pharmacist was horrible, lied about making calls, filled the script incorrectly and then blamed the Physician for a incorrect script. Funny, I have a copy of the script and it is quite clear....CVS incorrectly filled the script for an insufficient quantity on a Injectable Cancer drug. Thu Jan 28 2010iv worked at cvs from 2005 to 2009. their 3% raises dont keep up with cost of living/inflation. BUT THE DISTRICT MANAGERS GET BONUSES IN THE TENS OF THOUSANDS. expect close to minimum wage (<9) when applying. and remember: NOONE CARES ABOUT YOU AT CVS PHARMACY. esp if you work there.

Mon Jan 25 2010I worked for CVS for a year and a half until I was terminated for a loss prevention incident. I was retaliated against because my manager was editing time cards and I contacted HR. Everything was SUPPOSED to be confidential but apparently not because he told me he knew I told and that I lost his trust. He is still employed for CVS and will continue to screw people out of the money they worked for! I was his best cashier! The store I worked at has the largest turn over rate and I know why! Nobody wants to work there! I've seen at least 2 assistant managers 6 shifts and 8 cashiers hire in and quit within a year and a half! I would work my schedules hours plus come in whenever he called me in and stayed late when he needed me to. I would basically work the truck all by myself while running the register and photo lab! CVS says they don't make enough to have one person in photo and one person as a cashier. BULL! You only get a raise once a year and you're lucky if you get that! And if you d... Read more

Thu Jan 14 2010I'll tell you why CVS sucks. I am a pharmacy technician...and oh lets see when you have a line of 10 senior citizens a pile of faxes and a phone that rings off the hook.. and lets see its a grandma that forgot the day of the week... yeah you can get a little pissy. Oh and also since half the customers don't even know their dobs.. yeah that can get really annoying. And how about how corporate keeps sending us lists of all these stupid inventory/stocks of meds we are suppsoed to keep up with.. CVS sucks because they mkae their employees deal with stupid and pointless paperwork while there is a long line of customers that won't understand that we have stupid corporate bullshit to deal with too at the same time. It's not that we don't want to help customers.. its just that we're wayyyy to frustrated with the way our company treats us... i'm quitting this horrid company for good!

Tue Jan 12 2010What a pain in the behind CVS is. They couldn't renew a prescription if the doctor worked out of the same location. I had a vital prescription go over two weeks unfilled because there was some kind of electronic communication issue with the doctor’s office. Then they told me I had to do all the follow-up! Even after I did they dropped the ball!! There should be a regulation on prescription renewals that go unfilled for over 24 hours where someone MUST do a follow-up or they get fined!
