If on someone else phone, fine. Your phone, your ringer. But don't get pissed off with me when my phone starts playing Disturbed.

If I smack enough of the little tools and airheads these could decline in usage. UPDATE: Hey, you want a fun one? My phone does the Salacious Crumb laugh when I get a text. It weirds people out...

Songs as ring tones in general kind of bug me. There's one though, that REALLY gets one my nerves. It's called the "Cuppycake Song", I believe. It's pretty popular... I guess it's supposed to be cute, but it really just annoys the living hell out if me.

Depends....... if they have it as their text message alert... can get really annoying really quick. However, I like hearing some of the cutesy, fun, different ones out there, and half the time, I tell them to send it to me :D

Especially if they purposely let it ring an extra amount of time to make sure we hear how lame it sounds.

In honor of my almost lifelong love of “Dark Shadows” and all things spooky, I once had a ring tone that sounded like wolves howling. In view of this I respectfully relinquish the right to judge the silliness of anyone else’s ring tone. I do think my dogs took great exception to the wolves however – which they expressed with glee every time my cell would ring.

I cannot stand cell phones---on the road, in the office, in a mall, in a restaurant, in a theater. So I've finally decided, in the office at least, how to deal with it. If someone brings in a "cutesy" cell phone I'm going to come to work everyday dressed up like Ming The Merciless from Flash Gordon. Why? I want to be half as nuts as the people with the silly cell phones. However, I know that all the cell phone freaks out there are justifying their need for a cell phone with that "There could be an emergency!" excuse. I guess the idea of giving someone your work number and saying "Only call me in an emergency" has never been done before. I must be a genius. What's my prize? Another cell phone? Oh great.

Mine plays the ballroom blitz at the moment, however I only use it during work hours.  If people didn't die not being able to get a hold of me before I got one, they sure as @#$@ can wait to get a hold of me when I get home- provided my caller I.D  tells me who they are so I can decide if I want to talk to them. Please, don't think you're a reality show/rock star, okay? No one likes anyone's ring tone but their own.  Having to hear your phone ring is annoying.  If you're in a public place, put it on vibrate. I don't want to be eating a nice shrimp and steak dinner and have to hear "I kissed a girl" coming from some pansy ass metro-sexual bobble head's pocket, okay? Do you really need to be shouting into the phone while you're shopping?Christ sakes.  It's bling bling for the stupid.

There is good reason to have a distinctive cell-tone these days to distinguish it in a public place. But spare me  the cute ring-tones...  They make me feel homicidal.

People's phones aren't ringing constantly because of phone calls, but if I have to hear a stupid ring everytime some gets a text. I will go crazy.

If you would make me dictator for just a short period of time, I promise that every mope carrying a cell phone with annoying ring tones would have electronic shocking devices attached to said mope's "private parts" to be activated whenever the ring tones went off!

I don't mind unless the ringtone is so loud it can be heard for miles. a lot of times I answer my phone in public people around me say they never heard it ring. I keep the volume down. Also my phone is a dinasaur so I only have so many choices. I set different rings for certain people so I know who it is withough looking.

THE DEFAULT NOKIA TONE!!!!!!!!! Oh I am so thankful I have a Kyocera instead of a Nokia. Also most monophonic (as opposed to polyphonic) tones are ones that easily get on my nerves. I also do not like ones that have a traditional telephone ringing sound.

first off, i hope the devil drags me back down to hell if i am ever forced to buy one of those horrific pieces of crap - but really any cell phone ring is annoying. Your not the special people - no one wants to hear your fat mouth on the street, in the theater, in the elevator, ANYWHERE.

A person who does not set his cell phone to stun and lets it ring at an inappropriate place (like at church/temple or at a meeting) is an idiot. Compounding that with some stupid ditty like Wild Cherry's Play That Funky Music makes that person an idiot squared.

I agree with jamief-those Nextel 'blips' are annoying, but so are most 'musical' phones. Long live the Motorola StarTac!

Used to hate them 'til I got my own phone, so now it would be hypocritical to criticize them. Myself, I rotate between Where Everybody Knows Your Name/Cheers Theme, the theme from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, and Every Breath You Take.

I've kind of had a change of heart on these. I used to despise any cell phone ring that was a show in itself. I used to think cell phones themselves were a little ostentatious, and 'listen to me' rings just made it worse. But now that everybody has a cell phone, i think the more obnoxious the cell phone ring, the better. I have this horrific, carnival sounding ring that makes me cringe when it goes off in a public place. But I love it. My wife has Ludacris' 'Roll Out' which is hysterical. I'd like to get the Deliverance banjo song... does anyone know where I can find that?

I was so annoyed one day when my sister's cell phone rang--it was that awful, stereotypical chinese song that kinda goes ding--da-da-ding, ding-ding-ding-ding, DONG! I smirked and said Gee, thanks for spreading the stereotype, that's what we REALLY need . . .

Cell phones and their rings in general do not bother me near as much as the mass public. But I do not like them ringing during the movies...very irritating, but not the end of the world. (if the phones weren't ringing, I would be complaining about people yapping thruout the movie...there is NEVER a happy medium...)
