Wed Aug 12 2009In Iraq I tend to get allot of games that'll take a while to beat, this is one of em, the battle system is real time tho the rest of the game has an rpg element to it. Good for older kids and adults alike, lots of different robots, arms, legs, pods, and bombs to choose from to customize the robot as the title suggests, decent game to pass the time. Tho one thing.. the only thing you ever do at your house in the game is eat.. but the characters never gain weight.. strange but nothing to srs.

Fri Jul 17 2009Custom Robo Arena DS is a casual RPG merged with a great robot battling system. You get to create custom robots, upgrade them, and then send them into combat. The storyline is fairly straightforward. You're the new kid in town, and your parents give you a new robot as a gift. Right away you're drawn into the local team battles, with one team needing your help. You discover you have a talent for robot battles and begin moving your way through battle after battle. The roaming around town aspect is fun and relaxed. There are lots of kids for you to talk with, and lots of little storylines to learn about. On the other hand, if you're bored with talking to people, you can walk past most of them and just get to the battle parts. For a battle, you get an arena setting with obstacles and walls. You run around the arena shooting and blasting at your enemy, jumping out of the way. The customization really makes this quite fun. The graphics and storyline are very kid friendly. I love ... Sat Mar 21 2009Custom Robo Arena is good game for fans of the mecha combat theme. With hundreds of parts and thousands of combinations you can honestly make your robo as unique as you yourself are. The combat is fast paced, requiring much attention, while the non-combat portions are mostly walking and reading plot. Like many JRPG before it, Custom Robo Arena offers alot to the person who feels like ignoring adults and walking into random peoples houses. The non-combat can begin to feel long, but the fact that there are almost always people to challenge repeatedly for money and EXP in the meantime is a good release for people who suffer from TLDRitis. My only issues with the game are that it fools you into thinking you have won several times only to find that there is more plot ahead of you, and that once you find a decent combination you can work with you almost never have to change your robo around. This last one is a real issue if you enjoy wireless play, because once your opponant pins down your s... Read more

Sun Mar 08 2009I bought this game to keep my 10 y.o. son occupied while we traveled and it totally did the trick! This game kept him entertained for many, many hours (in the airport and on the plane and during down times in between).

Sat Jan 24 2009In this game, the fun goes on and on and on! With cool graphics, a superb story line, and great weapons, I was blown away by how fun this game was! You can customize your robot with unique (and sometimes illegal) weapons, and battle your way through work on the police force, during your studies at school, and even during a tournament! Even after you beat the game, there are so many things to do, like battle, play games at the arcade, and earn cash to buy new equipment. Two thumbs up!!!
