Cramster is useful if you have a hard problem and the person answering, answered it correctly. However, in spite of their claims of "expert reviews" etc. Many of the problems that are solved have major problems. The problems that are solved by other students, but not expert reviewed, are actually better than the ones that are expert reviewed. This is because when there is a mistake someone usually points it out. Unfortunately, when there is an expert-reviewed answer it does not allow you to point out mistakes. Cramster assumes that their "experts" caught whatever mistakes were there. Unfortunately, this is often not the case. For example, they frequently only check the math and do not double check that the problem submitted is even the correct problem for that number. Sometimes their "experts" even miss major mathematical errors. I just came across an "expert reviewed" solution that said that (e^(square root t))/(2(squareroot t)) = e/2. They eliminated the square root from the top ... Read more

At first I hesitated about upgrading my free account because it does provide some limited access. However, I finally broke down and decided to pay to get the full access to the textbook solutions catalog. As it turns out, I accidentally signed up for the answers product and I totally panicked. I called their customer service department and they were very friendly and helpful. They hooked me up with the monthly solutions option for $14.95 a month in order to get the full access that I needed for my textbook. I'm glad I did because it's a tough class and I'm now able to understand the material a whole lot better, which I'm hoping will pay off with a higher grade! I especially like the fact that they show the step by step solution rather than just giving me the answer. I've had no problems with my account and would recommend this service if you are struggling with a particular textbook/class.

My wife used the free question and was able to get the answer with no problems (we have a Mac). With overwhelming negative reviews, she still decided to pay for the service. She was completely aware that they would be charging the account for the next year. Okay, she pays for the service and tries to get help with problems. What do you know, it stopped working. Customer Services is a joke. Come on, leave a message and someone will call you? The next morning I used the the on-line help. I'm told by "Adam," who appears to be the only employee they have, that I need to clear cookies and change browsers (tried FireFox and Chrome). I did everything. Turned off the pop-up block, Firewall you name it.. The program just sat that thinking. I went back to "Adam" and expressed my troubles and frustration. I received a sorry that I was having problems and good-bye.. Nice. It appears that Cramster.Com is not Mac friendly. My wife was able to get it to work on a PC with no problems. ... Read more

First I use the free service. All I usually need is the odd answers. However, I tried to log back into my account recently and couldn't get on at all. I requested email password: no response. I tried to create another account but it tells me I already have one, so I asked it to email the password again: no response. So, I emailed customer service. Again: no response. So I tried Live Chat. Hah! It told me there were 7 people in the queue ahead of me and it would be approximately 17 minutes 16 seconds before a rep would be available. Ok minimize window and wait it out. Approximately 17 minutes and 14 seconds into waiting I got a message that said "No reps are available at this time to help you, please try back later." ??? Seriously??!!?? I don't think so. So, I've written off Cramster. The only bonus here is I never signed up to have them take my money!!!! Woo hoo!

Cramster is a helpful site when I used it, but I found a bitter surprise on my credit card charges. How else can I say it It is a billing Scam. They charge you once, AND keep charging you annually without even an email confirmation of the billing or notification that a membership is renewed. You must enter an email to sign up, so they have no excuse for not notifying you. I have disputed the credit card charge and wait to see the outcome. It is extremely poor business ethics to charge a client on a revolving account and NOT notify them. I highly urge everyone IF they use Cramster to immediately change credit card info after signing up. Put it in perspective - Does Amazon charge you for unauthorized purchases? Does eBay charge you unknowingly? Does your college charge your credit card without your authorization? Having your trusted credit card on their file is not safe. As I see it, it's a scam because it's unethical use of your card, neglecting to inform the consumer of the charge... Read more

I was initially skeptical about online study sites. However, after using the website, it totally helped me with my Calculus classes. There are step-by-step solutions to most problems, so it is easy to learn how to get to a particular answer. There's also a Q&A board that allows you to ask a questions that you can't find in the textbook section. It can be a hit or miss, but for the most part, the board is busy and active. The rates go for $9.95 per month or $49.95 for the yearly account. I read a few reviews claiming that Cramster is a scam, but this is not true at all! All you need to do is cancel your account and you will no longer be billed! It is very simple and you can even chat with a rep online and they will take care of it for you.

I would have failed my Electrical Engineering courses last semester without Cramster. The site has a ton of helpful features. I found the Q&A board to be the most helpful-- when I was stuck on homework problems, I would post them to the Q&A board and people would help me solve them. A+ for Cramster!

I have been using cramster for the last semester and it helped me raise my grade in calculus from a C to an A- and it was so worth the $10 a month. Being able to see all the answers worked out step-by-step has helped me understand how to do everything in less time. The other thing I liked was that if I didn't understand the steps, I would post a question on their message board and people would respond giving me their different view point. This was so much cheaper than the tutor I was paying $40/hr and much more effective.

Acutally, Cramster in my opinion is a great service site. You can view all the odd-numbered problem solutions right off the bat once you signed up, and if you contribute to the community back by submitting your solutions, answering other people's inquiries, and referring your friends, you can earn points towards awesome prizes. The best thing about Cramster actually is its customer support. I have submitted 10+ online "tickets" requiring assistance, and not once has it failed me. Cramster says customer satisfaction is paramount, and I fail to see why not.
