The Cosby Show is as I rated it: great! I may even be able to go so far as to capitalize every letter in the word and define my rating a little more honestly, so... I consider this show to be a GREAT one! There. Basically, I love the Cosby Show because I grew up watching it and have always appreciated the wholesomeness that each episode maintains. I love Bill Cosby's humor and his style of acting, which helps me enjoy The Cosby Show to the fullest. I can't think of a single episode that I don't like at least somewhat. My favorite thing is the fact that this show actually makes me laugh out loud at times, which doesn't happen very often when I watch TV. In conclusion, I consider The Cosby Show to be very easy to watch and always entertaining.

I can understand why people love this show. But for me I found it very uncomfortable to watch. It always seemed so condescending. It's just a tv show, but I always felt bad for the kids. They were always letting their parents down in one way or another. Perhaps it is the quality of the show that turns me off. If you compare it to the Brady Bunch, the situations are often quite similar. But the Brady Bunch was so goofy that I never was bothered by anything while watching it. So perhaps the higher quality turned me off. I was going to give it 3 stars, but in thinking about it, I'm going to give it 4. It was a good show; it just didn't work for me.

This show was kind of boring and annoying at times. SOME episodes were funny and Bill cosby could be funny at TIMES. But some episodes were very boring and were about some minor issue with one of the kids etc. some of the kids were annoying as well.

I didn't care much for this show and I'll tell you why. Heathcliff Huxtable was whipped. It was obvious that he was scared of his wife. Even one or two of his children told him so. Clair Huxtable forbade him from eating sandwiches and doughnuts. It was obvious that she was controlling him. No man should be whipped. What sickened me was that a couple of men told Heathcliff that he was lucky to have Clair. She was the one who was lucky. Lucky not to have Heathcliff's foot up her ass. Bill Cosby said that the Obama family is like the Huxtable family. That's not true. President Obama isn't whipped.

Overrated. And what's with the sudden nostalgic resurgence and syndicated replays on TVLand? Cos must be flexing his muscle to get his show some TV facetime again...

I think it was at its peek from 1984-1986. A good all round family show.

I love the show. I love Bill Cosby!!! Very Funny show. I liked it because it was clean and funny at the same time and always had a positive message at the end. When I am a father, I would strive to be like Heath Cliff Huxtable.

A totally absurd, ridiculous and unrealistic portrayal of African-American life. This show made "Sanford and Son" and "Good Times" seem positively mimetic. I heard this was like a breakthrough comedy, something new. So, I tuned it in one night and the premise of the episode was one of the daughters wanting to wear make-up and everybody else's knickers being in a twist about this. Now, that's a groundbreaking, daring, bold, innovative, cutting-edge narrative idea!!! Bill Cosby, totally talentless and remarkably unfunny, is also a veiled racist. I know people who worked at an entertainment venue near Philadelphia where Cosby was a frequent patron. Whenever he was waited on by one of the help who was African-American, he'd tip lavishly, sometimes up to $100. Whenever he was waited on by one of the help who was white, he'd leave like five bucks.

One of the few shows that I loved when I was a little kid, and still love today. Bill Cosby is one of the funniest men to ever live. I still watch the reruns on a regular basis. It's actually a little funnier now than it was then, becuase now there is the added unintentional comedy of the ridiculous 80s clothes that  the girls wear.UPDATE: Look below, typical Moosekarloff, badmouthing one of the best family friendly sitcoms of all time.

This is a wonderful, wholesome program suitable for all ages, and proof that humor does not have to be raunchy to be funny. Bill Cosby and the rest were a very talented cast, in my opinion.
