Fri Oct 01 2010Friendly staff with good customer service. I recently bought a 65” Sharp LCD and wanted to find out more about the extended coverage. I called CPS and spoke to Mike who was very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me details on who would fix the unit and what was covered. I went back to the merchant and added the coverage plan to the order. No problems as of yet, but I spent allot of money on this system and don’t want to take chances.

Thu Sep 23 2010CPS provides one of the best known services in the area of extended warranty. I just had a very pleasant experience with them, when my broken TV was repaired and delivered back to me in a week's time. I had a very interactive communication with their customer service representative, who not only listened patiently to my issues, but also suggested excellent ways to resolve them. I am really grateful for all the services provided by CPS, and would recommend them to all.

Tue Sep 21 2010One can't express his joy and gratitude, when service chosen for warranty actually works out beyond expectations. Something similar happened with me, while seeking a repair for my damaged Samsung mobile. After around 3 years of wear and tear, the keypad and display caved in, prompting me to call CPS. I was keeping my fingers crossed, as I have heard quite a bit of "stories" regarding the service of several warranty companies. CPS proved to be an exhilarating experience to be least. Not only the concerned specialist patiently heard my woes, and my issue, she acted really fast. Within a week, my phone was delivered back to me, fully repaired and working just fine. As I just came across RateItAll.com, I couldn't resist myself from penning my thoughts over the excellent services rendered by CPS. I must congratulate Julie (the customer service specialist) and the whole team behind CPS for such wonderful service provided. Thank you all!!

Wed Sep 15 2010My Nikon d700 has the 5 year CPS plan. I have not had any repairs yet but I did send it in for the free annual cleaning and diagnostic they offer. Its an expensive piece of equipment and I want to maintain it properly. Cps handled the unit well, they cleaned the internal components and gave me a diagnostic print out with details that everything was tested and in perfect working order. I liked the digital pics they included which showed my camera on the technicians table indicating exactly what they cleaned and how they maintain the unit. I’m confident that I’m in good hands if I run into problems, the level of professionalism is far superior to other repair companies I worked with.

Tue Aug 17 2010Bought this third party warranty for my wife's laptop and recently we had the harddrive go bad. Contacted them about warranty service and they made us send in all the stuff like the receipt of the computer and a scan of the warranty card even though we did that like 1.5 years ago when we registered the warranty. Good thing my wife keeps receipts. They took a flat $35 for shipping back to us and it only cost us $28 to ship it to them with insurance and such. We didn't get a refund of the difference. During repairs we never got any correspondence as to if the computer had been received, if it was being fixed and when we would get it back. The only way we knew it was coming back is we suddenly got a UPS tracking code e-mailed to us. The weight on the UPS info was listed as 3 lbs. So my wife had to call and ask if it had been fixed or if they were just mailing us a check in a big box or something. They told us the weight was probably entered wrong. Anyways, they fixed the computer - in... Read more

Tue Jul 06 2010I have the Sony dsct1 for the past few years. It performed excellent up till last month. The images started coming in blurry, and had a pink smudge on them. When I originally bought the t1 online it came with a kit that included the cps extended warranty, case and 2gb memory. Luckily I saved everything, got the warranty card and sent the unit in for service. The online claims system was easy, you don’t need to speak with anyone, it can all be done through email. Less than a week past and the unit was shipped back to me all in perfect condition. They had a paper that showed details on the repair, they changed the ccd and the lens on the camera. I’m just happy that they fixed my old camera. The problem with buying a new one is not only the money, but you have to learn all the features over again. Thank you for the quick repair, 2 thumbs up.

Mon Jun 28 2010First, let me point out that on Mercant Circle (http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Consumer.Pri ority.Service.800-905-0443) 19/20 positive reviews are out of Brooklyn, NY, the city where this company is based. I am suspicious of any positive reviews, especially those that say they "dispatch technicians." My experience was quite different. 1. Paying a flat $35 fee for every transaction, plus having to pay to have it shipped in the first place is ridiculous. 2. I sent my laptop in and they (A) refused to contact me by any means other than email (B) refused to give me any information on whether or not my repairs would be covered until I sent it in ($60 later). 3. Recieved an email stating that repairs would not be covered (impact damage to the screen) and a quote of $295. 4. I called to tell them just to look at the fan (which has become very loud and ineffective) and they wouldn't. They fix everything, or nothing. 5. Despite telling them my current address at least 3 times, my lapto... Read more

Sun Jun 06 2010I have a problem with my 73 inch TV. It took over 10 days to finally receive a email message demanding a credit card number before they send out a service call. The will charge my CC $160.00 if they find the problem isn't covered under their warranty. I can get a service call out to my house to diagnose the problem on my own for $65.00. This is a total rip off. Stay away from these con artists and don't do any business with them. I'm pretty sure all of the good reviews are coming from people that work for them or have some kind of interest with this company. If the service guy/gal says it is not covered when he gets here, I will call my bank right away and cancel my CC so they can't charge. BTW, when I purchased the TV and this warranty the guy that sold it to me never mentioned that I needed a credit card when I needed service. Total rip off and stay away. Don't be fooled by the "excellent" review.

Thu May 27 2010This is a lying, and trustless company. I spent more than $300 to buy its insurance. When my laptop met trouble this company asked me to pay more $60 for shipping. After I did they told me that my product can't be fixed because it's not worth to be fixed and is my responsibility to cause the problem. Come on... My insurance package is "solving in one step". After I paid $400 they mailed the problem laptop to me and did not do anything! Never, never, never trust this company! Don't waste your money!

Thu May 27 2010CPS has got to be one of the all time worst frauds on the market. After purchasing a Sony commercial video camera I felt it would be a smart thing to protect it. I made the mistake of buying a CPS warranty. About 2 months after buying the camera it suddenly, totally, failed. When I first called CPS about getting it repaired, they DENIED any claim telling me that I hadn't had the camera long enough to get any coverage. After winning that battle with them, I let them know that SONY mandated that this particular camera can ONLY be serviced by the SONY factory centers in New Jersey, or California. And that schematics and parts for the commericial cameras is NOT released to any third-party repair shops. CPS refused this information, and insisted that the camera be sent to CPS. SO, the camera was sent to CPS.......next thing I know I get a call from a "camera" repair shop, telling me that they can't fix the camera and it has to be sent to SONY...Funny, but isn't that what I had b... Wed Apr 21 2010First, they have obviously been seeding this sight with glowing reports! Nobody gets perfect and glowing reports on complaint websights. Second, I bought one of these warranties on the web to extend my warranty by 3 years on a DVD player. At the time, it seemed like a good 25$ spent. My DVD broke after 2 years, and I was glad I had the warranty. I found all the docs and filed the claim with all the right numbers. After 2-3 days, they got back to me and asked for a copy of the receipt and a "photocopy" of the card. Strange, but I assumed they were trying to weed out people who lost the CPS card they mailed. After about a week, they finally got back to me and gave me a series of steps to follow to "possibly" get my warranty service. This included. Mailing my package in double-boxed, with tracking and insurance (on my dime) and sending THEM A CHECK for 20$ to mail my DVD back. Of course, they probably don't need to mail anything back since my DVD is a broken piece of junk, b... Read more

Tue Apr 13 2010My brother had a Apple Mac PowerBook 17'' that came with 1 year standard apple care. He bought an extra 2 years and he was glad he did. He ended up sending it in to apple at least 4 times, with the last time happening at the end of the 3rd year. A couple of things they did was replace the internal fans, replace hard drive, replace OS discs, and cleaned the internal components. He said it was worth it in the end.

Tue Apr 06 2010I had to use my CPS warranty service for my Frigidaire. The service man was nice enough to come over at night when I got home from work. I was very pleased with the response speed from consumer priority service. I called in my problem on the 24th, and the local service was there the following night handling my repair. Turned out one of the spray arms was broken and needed to be replaced. Everything was fixed perfectly and I’m glad I purchased the warranty. In the past I've found that most repair shops are difficult to deal with, and that’s why I started buying warranties for any major equipment I buy. I don’t have the time to deal with these units and just need them taken care of if I have problems. The dishwasher is in good working order and I have no complaints. I would definitely buy CPS warranties on future purchases.

Fri Mar 12 2010DON"T BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM CPS I drop my phone and the screen broke, sent the broken phone to CPS. 4 weeks later CPS said the phone is not covered under the warranty because excessive damage, I started doing research for the contract agreement and this is what I found in ONE OF THE TEMS AND CONDITIONS: a. This Plan does not cover failure as a result of: normal wear and tear, misuse, abuse, rust or corrosion, spilled liquids or foreign objects found inside the equipment; repair of damage or food loss caused by accident, theft, fire, flood, external causes such as, but not limited to, blown fuses, inadequate electrical power, water and gas lines beyond the equipment, plugged drains, normal wear and tear, or any use of the product not authorized by the manufacturer. Now that my phone is broken CPS told me about this agreement, CPS representative said at some point I agreed to the term and conditions, I am sure I was newer asked or I signed this agreement, I am sure if I knew abo... Mon Mar 01 2010Do NOT buy an extended warranty from this company. They look for any angle to deny coverage. In my case they denied that I had an inititial warranty from the manufacturer because the retailer was "unauthorized" and is now out of business. I spoke to the manufacturer - - Panasonic - - and they assured me that I did in fact have coverage for a full year. When I informed Consumer Priority Service of this fact they hung up on me - - for the 2nd time. STAY AWAY.
