I'd spent a few hours online looking for a good hot air brush, and the reviews were best for this one (I was specifically looking for one with interchangeable barrels). My only wish is that it worked better as a dryer with the directional barrel, but c'est la vie. It works great if you blow-dry your hair damp and then use the round barrels. My hair is bone straight, and this is the only way I can get any kind of wave(at the ends) for any length of time. And I don't know if it's the ionic feature, or actually drying my hair, but after using this product, my hair is shinier, softer, and tamer than if I let it air-dry.

I love this tool. I have 4 of them because I am scared that one day they will stop making them!! I wish there was one that had an even bigger barrel because my hair is pretty long. I recently let my hair air dry just to remember what it was like and I had the worst day!!! If anyone has a similar product that is bigger, ionic, and has boar bristles AND hard plastic teeth mixed like this does, let me know!

For the price this is a very good product. Keeps the frizzies and fly aways in check and adds body and shine.

I debated and debated about which hairdryer to buy, and finally, based on reviews, I chose this one. I waited until I'd used it a few times to review it, and here are my findings: This dryer does dry your faster, and I can get some really nice, smooth curls with it. I don't find it to be too loud, compared with the dinosaur of a dryer I was replacing when I bought this one. When I read in the reviews that people were having trouble avoiding the on/off swith while drying, I thought, "Ok, now that I know it, I won't do it". Well guess what? There's no way TO avoid it. Although it's no biggie, a better design is definetly in order. You WILL turn the dryer off by accident while using it. Now, the ionic part...I will have to say, my hair feels different when I use this, but, I'm not sure I like how it feels. However, it's winter, and I've got all kinds of static going on, so I'll have to reserve that opinion for later this year. All in all, I would recommend purchasing this dryer. Price is... Read more

My hair is that frizzy, curly type that is difficult to manage. Using just a regular blow dryer leaves my hair dry and flyaway. I have tried hair straighteners, and curling irons. Maybe I'm uncoordinated but these items were a pain to use and did not accomplish what I needed. I was looking for a hot air curling brush, that was also ionic, hoping it would leave my hair shiny, silky and smooth, with a soft curl to it as well. This product does it all. I would pay 3 times what this item cost to get the same results, and an added bonus is it that it takes very little time now to dry my hair. I would normally take at least 20 minutes to blow dry, and now it only takes 10 minutes. I start out with a regular blow dryer, to the point where my hair is 70 - 80% dry, then follow with the Conair Hot Brush. It is true that the controls are in an awkward place. Conair take note and change your design a little next time. Otherwise, this product is very highly recommended.
