Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers)

While I prefer historic parks (like Tiger Stadium) Comerica Park is a fun park. very comfortable seating. As long as you don't sit in the back half of the upperdeck, the field never seems that far away. Lots of good food and beer selections all over.

A nice stadium, although it is too bad they did away with trhe cars in the front.

i hated comerica park. the rows were too long and i had to climb over 20 people and i was in the middle! the slopes of the seating was terrible, i had to about break my back just to see the action. the seats were so tiny and i had no leg room! everything was an advertisment. in between innings was nothing but commercials. even when a player walked it would say walk......ins are welcome at some haircut place! the mascot did nothing, the fireworks were brought out on a cart and shot off and they were terrible! if you want to go see a great park, go to jacobs field! comerica was horrible!

1 compared to the old stadium(eight dollar beers,tough to follow fly balls because of background,home runs sorta plop softly onto carpet-and people seemed to love the old stadium)'5' if you consider that someone felt the Detroit Lions deserved anything and built them a new stadium next door.

I did not like Comerica Park at all.

I like it,but I hate that they put that new fence in left.Apparantly,somebody whined "It's too far away,there's not enough home runs landing there!".So not only is the new fance too close,it's shorter than the old fence,making it too easy for home runs.And every time I see home runs hit to left,most seem to land way past the old fence that they thought was too far away.Good idea,fellas!

It's my home park so I am biased. I love the sightlines and view of downtown. I miss The Corner but this is a fine venue.

Very nice place to watch a game. All of the seats, particularly on the lower levels are very good and it's nice to be able to walk around the concourse and still be able to see the game. The architecture makes the stadium very inviting. The history displays (particularly the statues) are a good reminder that this franchise wasn't always in the cellar (as it has been throughout their occupation of this park). I wish they wouldn't have shortened the fences in left field, small-ball is a more entertaining and pure form of the game, but at least that allows them to move the bullpens and create some prime bleacher seats in RF. Anyway, this park still predominantly favors the pitchers, which is nice. I didn't want the Tabbies to replace Tiger Stadium, but at least they did a good job doing it.

Nice stadium, but it's too much of a pitcher's park, while Tiger Stadium was a very good hitter's park. They should move in the fences a little more.

I like the park design fro the seating standpoint, which is really the most important thing. However, I like a park that is not gimmicky. Jacobs is a good example of that. This park is a little too gimmicky for my tastes. eight million tigers and a merry-go-round is a little much.-

Comerica Park is a very enjoyable place to watch a game. Seats are comfortable, the park is beautiful, and plenty of restrooms and concession areas. Tiger Stadium was nostaligic and a nice place to catch a game, but it was time to replace it, and Comerica Park does just that.

This is the first time we went to a Tigers game. We found Comerica Park to be very nice. It was clean and nicely kept up. They offered different seats in various price ranges. We were pleased with our seats in between third base and home-plate. The price of the food and beverages are so-so. I was actually a bit surprised that it was not as expensive as I thought it would be.The park is right in the city of Detroit so the only hard part is getting a place to park our car. We parked about five blocks away so we would not have to pay such a terrible price. We found our visit to Comerica park to be a pleasant one.

I've noticed that most of the anti-Comerica comments here are based on emotions, and not the plain-to see facts. Unlike the one young fan who says that he/she is too young to really remember Tiger Stadium, I clearly remember attending games at "The Corner" during the 70s, 80s, & 90s. I assure you, Tiger Stadium really did need to be replaced. This isn't about corporate welfare, greed, and all the other typical comments you usually hear regarding the building of a new ballyard. Tiger Stadium was simply past her prime. I loved the old girl, and was, like many, sad to see her go, yet I'm also a realist. Tiger Stadium lacked so much in the way of creature comforts, that I could list them on a half page here. Guys, it was simply time! Renovations? Done in the 70s. And besides, a paint job, a sun roof, and a CD player still can't turn a Model T into a Navigator! It was TIME, guys! I've also been to Comerica, and she's beautiful. Just be glad we didn't get stuck with a dog like new Comiskey!

I miss Tiger Stadium soooo much. But I like how the organization started from scratch and didn't try to recreate Tiger Stadium like some other clubs (ie Boston Red Sox). No annoying sight obstructing pillars like the corner, but you have to sacrafice distance from the field in Comerica which isn't all too bad actually. The scoreboard is nice just like the view of downtown. The other thing about Comerica is the distances, they make it so just not anybody can hit homers.

I know that Tiger Stadium was a great ballpark and I've been there but can't remember much of it since I was very young. It's time had come and I was sad to see it go. But I visited Comerica Park this past July, and I think it is a suitable replacement for Tiger Stadium. The park did seem smaller than that on TV. but yet We seemed close to the game even tho we were in the upper deck. It is a very beautiful park, and I like the view of the skyline, especially at night. The only downer I found about the park is how expenive everything is. They need to lower the prices.

Even though the Tigers have added all the carny sideshow attractions that make purists fume, the place still looks just like a plain, old-fashioned ballpark. Nice. Of course it's derivative of Camden, but it pulls off the trick better than most other retro parks built since '92. Tiger Stadium had a unique character, but its time for retirement had come. The new yard is a beauty, in its own way.

Checked it out , Don't plan on going back!! Check this out , Been to Tiger Stadium a handful of times and they never won a game with me in attendance. Went to Comerica and they beat the Yankees!!! Still Tiger stadium was wayyyyyyy better.
