Collin Cowherd is a turd...He has no clue bout middle class and poverty level people. He does have a good mind for teams and issues but when he talks outside of those areas, he makes himself look very STUPID. For example: today, 11-18-2010, he talked bout taxing the rich people in America, evidently him being one. He said that it was not right to tax the people who had the money to jump start the economy (i am paraprasing here, that is why i did not use quotation marks), and what was the guideline to establish who was rich. I wonder if he thinks having 10% of the middle class and poverty level population was good for the economy. And lets tax the ones who only have money to put food on their table for their kids to eat and a roof on their head, that will really help the economy. He is a jerk who is very clueless when it comes to life outside of sports. It is people like the turd that can justify an Albert Hainsworth, Randy Moss, Bret Farve, LeBron James selfish actions and get ... Read more

You can tell Cowherd puts a lot of thought into his opinions, but he admittedly doesn't actually watch much sports, so he doesn't have a frame of reference. He will only watch the big games that involve the traditional powers. He bases his opinions on research from blogs and newspapers rather than actually watching the games. This shows in a lot of the nonsensical arguments he presents. There is absolutely nothing wrong with giving your opinion, but don't present your opinion like it's fact and be dead wrong half the time. That makes you a moron.

Those of you who are bashing Colin are missing a major point..... He has you talking about his show. With that, he has won. Rush Limbaugh is rich beyond imagination because he keeps people talking. I am not a daily listener to Colin, but I do enjoy his show from time to time. He makes intelligent well thought out points 90% of the time. I agree with some of you in saying that he isnt a sports fan, but he does his homework and is usually on point with his views. I think the fact that he doesnt have the fan emotion gives him the ability to have clarity when looking at a team. JJ

I'll paraphrase what Ryen Rusillo said: "Some guys at this network don't even like sports, so it's like why do you even work here if you don't like sports.." I wonder who he was referring to.. If you like Cowherd's radio show you are a huge tool. He needs Michelle Beadle to slap him in line on his radio show like she does on Sportsnation.

I hate him. He is an idiot. I hate that he talks about the NBA like it's the greatest thing in the world and college basketball is crap. He obviously does not know the sport of basketball if he has that opinion. True basketball fans realize the difference between team and "all about me" style of play. He says the NCAA tournament is boring and that the Duke/Butler matchup was horrible. What an idiot! Ask anyone else who really understands the game, and they will explain it to you Colin. You are a moron and have no business talking about sports.

His show is worse than bad. If you want to hear 4 hours about how free agents are attracted to cities with nice weather, this is your show. He says the same stuff every day. Eventually this will run its course and he will be doing something else and his show will be remembered for the joke it is. It angers me, because I'm on the road on sales calls all week and I can't listen to espn radio when he's on. As hateful and ignorant as Limbaugh is, at least he's entertaining.

I dislike Cowherd's show not because he is controversial, but because he is on sports radio and doesn't really talk about sports. You tune in to hear about sports and you hear him talking about Tiger Woods personal life for 4 hours. Apparently I'm in the minority.

Been in the biz for two decades. Just look at the emotion cowherd elicits. He pisses people off, yet they keep listening. He is similar to Glen Beck, Stern, Dr. Lara, et all. He is the sports version of these personalities and he's going to be around for a long time. His new Tv show is flourishing. Espn clearly sees him as the networks love him/hate him personality of the next few years, at least. He makes me think and laugh. Few others do. Just look at the number of responses to cowherd on this site or any other. Its always more than other sports people. Thats EXACTLY what ESPN wants.

His show is awful. He is a whore for ratings. He admits to the fact that his show is a "Sports entertainment show", which pretty much means it's just Cowherd blowing hard about some athlete who got in trouble, or made some bad decision. He is painfully unfunny - almost nerdy. I fail to see what the "Entertainment" is in his show He simplifies every sports issue into some dumb analogy and repeats it over and over. I have no doubt he'd be just as successful doing a show on politics. He basically calls anyone who is a sportsfan a loser and if you listen to him it's pretty clear he doesn't actually follow or watch any sports outside of college football, the only sport he can talk on without sounding as though hes reading from a script. If you listen to the show enough you'll repeatedly hear him take opposing sides on the same issue with enough time passed. He knows how to keep people listening ill give him that, he doesn't know shit about sports, and any time someone disagrees wit... Read more

He is an arrogant, bird-faced prick who preaches the virtues of being a preppy elitist. He craps on anyone who has a real interest in sports and speaks with the knowledge of your buddies who only casually follow sports. Why would I be listening to sports talk if I was a casual observer? Listen to this guy if you want to hear him put down his listeners (or anyone who disagrees with him) as stupid. If you want coverage of anything other than two or three teams per sport, then find something else. One of the worst on-air personalities of our time.

Horrible sports show. Little valuable sports commentary lots of non-sports bull crap. Today the show was discussing how great whole foods is (good looking girls?? all I see is overpriced pasta salad with fancy names) and how fat people are disgusting. Switched it off. He thinks he is funny but he isn't most times, if ever. Its a shame because he follows a good sports show.

Worst show on the radio!!! Love to listen to sports radio but I have had to completely abandon ESPN in the morning because this guy's whiney voice makes my skin crawl. I've never particularly liked Jim Rome but he's currently my only alternative on my moring commute.

God, this guy sucks! Why the hell does ESPN 1050 waste 2 hours of their time (while I switch over to WFAN) on this no talent loser? Bring Max Kellerman (or ANY New Yorker with a brain) back to fill those two hours before it's too late!

Like him or not, he's a talent. On the road all last week making sales calls, listened often. Funny as hell, regularly. As he would say, some get it, some don't. He does. That Beano Cook segment is great. The ego is part of his appeal to me. HE SIMPLY DOESN'T CARE what people think.

Best Show on Sports Talk Radio. You may not agree with him all of the time, but he backs his opinions with facts and he presents them in a way that makes him entertaining. Generally people who hate this guy are the sports fans that have trouble believing that their team has glaring weaknesses in management or style of play. I also like the fact that he doesn't need to depend on callers and listener e-mails to make his show interesting like Jim Rome is Irritating and JT the Douche.

Cowherd is fantastic and here's why: -He has a strong opinion and he backs up his strong opinion. In doing this, he forces the listener to take sides. The way he argues his point makes it almost impossible to sit on the fence. -He's a very practical sports fan. He's as objective as they come really. He sees the unfairness in sports and in life and makes no apologies for his opinions reflecting these imbalances. That's the kind of honesty I expect from an adult radio show. -He gives perspective on the interaction of sports and other realms of life. For listeners like myself who love sports, but realize it's not the ONLY thing in life, this is very refreshing. Sure he's had gaffes in the past, but he is consistently interesting and entertaining. I disagree with him often, but I enjoy catching what I can on weekdays.

I think Colin is great! I can't stand those radio host that think they have to agree with their audience to keep their jobs. Colin tells it like it is. I sometimes don't like to hear it, when he talks about the teams I like...but I have to admit, that primarily...He right!

Self-proclaimed "edgy" radio host with some of the worst views on everything from sports to politics to the economy. You can tell this guy got into radio because he really and truly loves himself and honestly believe his opinions should be kept in some type of tome to be used at later dates to berate people. I absolutely despise his show, it is made even worse by the fact that he and Jim Rome come on during the same time frame, so what choice do I have? A turd sandwich or a giant douche, I'll let you decide which radio personality is which. And by the way, that's from South Park.

He's just another gang member of corporate espn. He believes his word is gospel. I stopped listening to him long time ago, as well as anything espn says. There are two types of people in this world doers and criticizers. the pro athletes are in this "action" category. talk show hosts wouldn't know what action is. All they can do is comment on other's actions.

now honestly people, do you want to listen to a radio talk show host who's constantly right and doesn't have his own opinions......? if you do, then you people will never be able to listen to any kind radio talk show..... as far as i see (hear), everybody in radio talk shows have their own opinions, and make mistakes sometimes, but isn't that's why we listen............ if you don't like him, turn off the dial...... but you know why you still listen to him though, even if you don't like it.........

He's awesome. He's not like the other radio hosts on ESPN (Mike and Mike,etc.). Those other guys just report the sports news and have very boring discussions. He gives his opinion on subjects and evaluations of games from a non-X's and O's perspective. He says things to get his listeners angry on purpose to get discussion about his show. Many people take his words too seriously. When he goes on a rant like his Virginia football players are Zima drinkers, I find it hilarious.

show usd to be pretty good quality after a rough start he found his form and the show was enjoyable and the host while sometimes a bit full of himself was basically tolerable even if a bit pompous . that CHANGED big time in the last year , he is so bad now that every take rant and segment is like a therapy session for his ego and a forum to tell us that he's always right , he's got a great life and he's really really successful . at this point a bad combination of know it all pompous ass, dork , not nearly as cool as he pretends to be and this i belelive is a source of frustration for him bcause he desperately WANT TO BE COOL , but realizes he just isn't . Wants to tell everyone that he has all the answers with his UNCLE COLIN segements , but coming from a guy in his early 40's getting divorced when he has a son who hadn't even turned 2 is pretty indicative that he hasn't figured out much . Ego is rally a mask for massive insecurity , has to be right as if he's a college student , not ... Read more

I have to say that I am completely torn in regards to Cowherd. Sometimes I listen to him on the way home, and for every brilliant thing that he says, he will inevitably say five more things that are completely asinine and will piss you off. To say he doesn't roll with popular opinion is just absurd. He just picks and chooses his spots to play devil's advocate. Otherwise, he sides with POPULATION. I know that part of his "charm" is the fact that he is honest and tells it the way it really is, at least the way it really is in his opinion. I am a HUGE fan of Los Angeles sports teams, and even I don't think it's fair the way he dumps on Ohio State and other small market teams. He talks a lot of smack about Ohio State and the Big-10, he dogs Notre Dame on a regular basis and he has NO LOVE for your team if it's not located in a top 5 media market. I.E. Chicago, NYC, Boston, Los Angeles, or one of the Texas 3(Dallas, Houston, San Antonio). I don't mean to be rude on a blog board but s... Read more

Herd speaks his mind rather then going with the popular opinion. You have to admire that he isn't afraid to stick his neck out; he is the first to admit when he is wrong which many radio talents seldom do. People writing negative things about him are the prototypical Ohio State fan ect who just can't except reality....

I agree with those who acknowledge that Colin is a strong talent, but the show is going in a negative direction. It doesn't bother me that he has strong views, but he is getting very redundant. The segments lately have been...1. Colin gives strong opinion, 2. Colin invites a guest on and restates his opinion to his guest, 3. Guest reinforces Colin's opinion and then has barely enough time to say something novel before it's back to Colin. I tend to switch to another station when it becomes clear that he has made a tired point and is waiting for callers to complain so that he can keep restating his point over and over.

I don't live in NYC or Boston, or like any teams from those markets so his show has no appeal to me since those are the only markets he will talk about substantively. I also quickly grew tired of Cowherd crapping on every market that isn't NY, Boston, or LA (Lakers anyway). He will spend at least two segments per day explaining why he refuses to discuss a relevant non-NY/BOS/LA sports topic because those markets don't matter and no one cares about them. While NY/BOS/LA may be the largest markets, most listeners don't live in the rest of the United States. Disparaging the majority of your listeners is probably a bad idea, Colin.

Colin is the best sports talk radio host in the nation. But no disrespect to mike and mike and also dp and olberman. But the ratings dont lie and niether do the 90% of people who call the show and start off by saying "Love the show man" The only people who dissagree are the ones who's fav. teams suck, and he makes strong and legit points why they suck, that are usually backed up by the next callers. Anybody that argues is in some sort of denial and u know it.
