Cohiba

I have to say, I quite enjoy these. Especially when my friends are smoking 'Tampa Nuggets'.

Best cigar I've ever had in my life was a Cuban Cohiba double corona. The ones sold here are from General Cigar Co. which are generally overpriced and generally mediocre.

There is little better in life than a Cohiba Robusto. It's a Full bodied, great tasting Cigar. The only downside is the cost. I haven't had one of these in years, but if they were more affordable I would probably have one every day.

The top end Cuban version of these are fine smoke, particularly the coronas and well worth the money. The Dominican versions are decent, but not a patch on the Cubans.

I don't always smoke cigars but when I do I prefer Cohibas. Smooth flavor, even draw - consistent quality. W

This is one thing Castro and I have in common. I really like their medium bodied cigars, I think the old goat likes full bodied. The Dominican brand , which is the only kind I can buy in the states is almost as good as the habna in my opinion.

Good rich flavor, however a tad over priced in my opinion. Good cigar but not my favorite.

Absolutely the best smoke outside of an authentic Cuban. Smooth and consistent. If they weren't so expensive, I would never smoke anything else.

I have only tried to pequenos that come in tins of six.  Very good for a small cigar and holds its own againts many full size cigars from other brands.  It has a cool smoke and a medium body with a nice toasty finish and even (i know this might sound strange) but some peppermint-like flavor.  I would like to find a siglo IV to try ASAP.

The best i've tried. Incredibly smooth, low aftertaste, pure quality and appealing aroma. Prefer these any day to Romeo & Juliette, which appear sweeter and Monte Cristo.

My dad gave me a box of severely dried out ones for my birthday, they were okay, but hard to draw on, most likely tenfold better when moist.

You cannot beat a Cohiba Robusto for an afternoon/evening smoke. The taste is spicey/peppery, but very smooth and consistant. It's my all time favorite smoke.

The churchhill continues to be my favorite but at a pricey $700+ a box, they're hard to enjoy for the normal person.

Rating Cohiba is like saying you like ice-cream. There are a lot of types and most are quite different. Try a Siglo III or Siglo IV and you'll never touch that other trash that tries to pass for a cigar, let alone a good cigar.

Cohiba Corona La Habana Cuba. A great smoke or atleast in my opnion. A consistantly medium taste and nice even burn. Some say that it is strong, I say get the Cuban version. It's well worth it. The Dominican version is stronger and a bit peppery. Simply just not my type, however the cuban version is great.

For some reason this is the most popular cigar brand today. Probably because of Fidel Castro..but he get's the private stock. IMO very overrated. Utter trash compared to Partegas, R&J;, Montecristo, Macanudo and other high quality hand rolled cigars.

Contary to popular myth, this is not Castro's brand. It is made by the same family that made Casto's cigars but what is avliable for purchase is not the same as his private stock. Personally I find the Cohiba a little too robust for my taste. The inital inch or so is just a little to overpowering. The cigar does settle down a bit and finishes nicely but getting there can be a little rough. Once again though, I am evaluating the Cuban brand. The Dominican version is entirely too strong reminding me more of the terrible Opus X then a fine high calibar cigar.

Best cigars in some countries, Cohiba's are second to Romeo and Juliette's. Montecristo in pure quality. Good smell. But still not the quality, though they're more famous, of R & J.

A good cigar if you want to kick back and enjoy a good smoke. It smokes smooth and slow and has a taste you can appreciate.

My friend went to Guatemala and brought back some of these. Very good.

Cohiba cigars are very mild. Well bodied. Not harsh. They burn easily. Slightly chocolate taste. These cigars are sometimes hard to find. There are also a lot of flakes.

A few years ago I was living down in Costa Rica for a spell and hanging out with a good friend of mine from college who is Costa Rican and he brought me to this sort of "pool hall" where we hung around drinking beers and smoking Cohiba's. It was great! I'm not a big cigar smoker but this was probably one of the few cigars that I actually didn't mind smoking almost in it's entirety. I wouldn't presume to be knowledgeable enough about cigars to say much more than that the Cohiba was one of the few experiences where I didn't feel like I was standing around trying like hell not to gag from all the smoke. The place was a big hit and was a lot of fun to hang out in but I think he had an alterior motive for bringing me there which was that the year before I had been on my way to Costa Rica but not made it and it was that year that he had been trying to convince me that we should open just such a place. By the time I got down there this place had arrived. Oh well.

Just don't smoke a cigar if it can't be a Cuban. Once you try a Cohiba you wont go back to the "lesser" varieties. Sure, there are some other brands that are satisfactory, but none are as full-bodied and smooth as the Cohiba and its native friends.

Very overrated. My experience with Cohiba's found them to be sharp, harsh with an edge. They were full-bodied, but with a raw unpleasantness. Give me a montecristo or a romeo y julietta anyday.

Perhaps the only thing I have in common with Fidel Castro is my belief that Cohiba makes the finest cigars in the world. Always smooth, even, and robust but not overpowering like some other Cubans. There is a difference between the cuban's and dominican makes, but both are ahead of their respective classes by a long mark in my opinion.
