This guy is so stupid that it is incredible that he could be Art Bell's replacement. I think one of the shows should be devoted to researching the supernatural entity that allowed George to advance past the point of MCing a Boy Scout banquet. At least Art Bell had some wit and showmanship, and had interesting science based guests. With George, each night is another pile of New Age drivel. I never listen to the show anymore. From my perspective, Coast to Coast is dead.

Art, if you are reading this, PLEASE COME BACK! Noory is awful. The best compliment I can pay him is that he is consistent. He consistently misses the opportunity to ask his guests interesting questions or recognize and pursue relevant lines of inquiry. When there are three people present, (guest, host, and caller), he is the least informed of the three regarding whatever topic is being discussed. It's obvious that his show prep is almost non-existent. Case in point: On a recent show exploring the subject of karma it immediately became apparent that he had no understanding of what karma actually is. After the two guests had described in great detail how reincarnation and karmic debt work and affect our lives, Noorys' comment was something like "You know, when I walk into a room and meet someone new I can just tell if they have good karma or not". And even after a two-hour discussion it was clear that Noory still thought good karma meant "good vibes". On the subject of UFOs an... Read more

I used to enjoy the show but more and more George has the same type of guests over and over and panders to the right wing extremists. He puts down callers who say they are atheists, he lets his personal religious beliefs come to the fore and is not an objective interviewer. Such as tonight, the Weds after the Arizona shooting, he has a show about how the anti gun people want to limit the rights of people to carry guns. Typical. Art Bell was a master and a genius and he did have personal viewpoints, but he made it clear AND he never or rarely let it get in the way of having a wide variety of guests with a variety of political/personal beliefs. George wont come out and say I think this or that but here is someone who thinks differently....because he has guests who do think the way he does such as Christian believers, right wing conservatives, and more and more stories about the Bible, creationism, demons.... I doubt I will renew my membership. I very much like George Knapp. He is an ex... Read more

Pros: George Noory is polite. Cons: George Noory is uninspired, ill informed, rote, trite, bland, and sooo predictable. He plays to the most common of denominators with softball questions that almost never bring out the best in his guest. He and Punnett have taken the esoteric out of esoterica.

When I first started listening to Coast To Coast about 5 years back, I simply had no idea how awful it was with George Noory at the mike. Then, I started listening to old Art Bell reruns and there is absolutely no comparison. The only reason I even listen to this train wreck of a show when that narcissistic idiot is hosting is for laughs. Case in point. Tonight's broadcast had a guest on who seemed very intelligent, philosophical, and quick. It was someone named Michael Bara, and the topic being discussed was very esoteric and had it been in Art's hands, the show would have rocked. The only problem was he was a major Snoory suck up. At one point, a caller who also seemed intelligent challenged this man on a number of points; Georgie evidently had to use the bathroom because both parties were addressing him, obviously in an attempt to have him handle the situation, and The Village Idiot said nothing. Like he left the studio or something. Georgie was simply too stupid to unders... Read more

I've been listening to C2C since 1996. I, like many, many others on this site feel that Art Bell was what made C2C what a great show. I don't really mind George as an interviewer all that much. I realize from listening to him for a few years that he is no where near the level of Art Bell. His questions are many times waaay off topic and he does tend to drop the ball during many interviews. I remember a couple of years ago when he was interviewing a guest about government virus programs. In the middle of the interview just when the guest was trying to divluge some insider info, George asked him "do you like dogs?" I mean, what the hell? I recall thinking at the time it was either one of two things. One, the NSA had someone in the studio with a gun at Noory's head, or two, George really is as dumb as others claim he is. Actually, the host that really drives me INSANE is Ian Punnett. I swear to God if I have to hear him "snort" one more time when he laughs I'll explode. Coul... Read more

George can't help himself, he is a slave to money and will do what ever Clear Channel demands. Perhaps he should do a show on prostitution since he can relate. I hear more political propaganda and less paranormal now that he has a pimp. I miss Art Bell days. This is what you get when large corporations can own the airwaves.

I absolutely cannot stand to listen to this moron. He butchers the English language and seems incapbable of conducting a really good interview. He asks dumb questions and even appears not be listening or paying attention to what his guest or caller is saying. I also think he has his producer ask the callers to gush on and on about how wonderful he is, which makes me quite ill. He needs to go. I wish that George Knapp would replace him permanently.

Former listener wants Art Bell back. This show went from innovative and interesting to regulated and hackneyed. (It's now owned by Clear Channel who owns, what, 75% of all radio? ) As a long time listener and a person who loves the subject of the paranormal, UFOs, ghosts, aliens, bigfoot, new scientific inventions, time travel, physics, astronomy, weird weather etc (all topics when Coast to Coast AM was originally started under The Art Bell Show) I listened eagerly and happily. Art Bell had the persona of an open minded scientist with rough edges who enjoyed his guests. So when Art left the show, and later George Noory came on board I was predisposed to like him. I hoped and expected to like him. Unfortunately, what a HUGE disappointment George Noory was and continues to be. He is a chauvinistic (he has patronized Linda Moulton Howe and other female guests and callers) xenophobic, racist (especially on immigration) egoistic - his face is planted everywhere on the website,... Isn't it funny how people feel animosity toward others that have a religious foundation. I concur with sunnygirl234. The downward trend started when George picked sides during the Bush administration and ignored the follies of his peers like Dan Rather. Too bad.

"Downfall"? No way! I think George Noory is an excellent host. I also like Art Bell. George Knapp is okay. Ian Punnett is okay (despite some of his religious beliefs). I have been a listener for years (since 2003!)

Jeez, all this time I thought I was alone. I used to love the Art Bell show, listened every night. When Noory took over, it went to hell. I gave it about 6 months then stopped listening. I'd hear people call in with this B.S. line of, "oh George, your'e the best host I've ever heard...I just love the show...keep it up"--what kind of crap is this? Are they told to say that? I wanted literally to vomit at times. I have NEVER in my life listened to a worse talk show host. This guy is a total moron. When he rarely has an intelligent guest on, he derails them with dull, moronic questions. Art knew how to keep a topic interesting all through. Noory can kill a topic in 10 minutes, and I can't take it. Will someone please just feed this inane slug to the fish?

I think what bothers me the most is when George Noory has his delusional "science advisor" Richard C. Hoagland on the show. The attention needy Hoagland pretty much uses C2C as a forum to sell his crazy, unstructured and badly edited books. Hoagland had lost his professional credibility years ago with his claims that can easily be refuted by any science-knowing 10 year old. It has appeared of lately that Mr. Noory (please forgive me) has become Hoagland's bitch. Hoagland has apparently become crazier and crazier over the years and Noory lets him get away with it. When Norry attempts to question Hoagland's ideas, Hoagland becomes angry and defensive. The days of Art Bell was the best. At least Art Bell would challenge the people he interviewed with constructive and intelligent questions and grill them to provide good solid evidence to back up their claims.

He has too many ghost shows! This is so far beneath the kind of people Art Bell used to interview, i.e. CIA whistle blowers, encounters with aliens, people in the government revealing secrets. That's what I like to hear about. Ghosts? I can only deal with a little of that type of program.

    Mon Mar 01 2010

I have tried and tried to give Norry the benefit of a bla bla.... Let me list. 1) Questions having ZERO to do with the subject 2) See above 3) The leadin...leadout bumpers are soooo long I forget the topic. 4) His sickening mug on every email is soooo irritating that I turn off "view images" first" 5) I am often terrified he will ask about angels 6) or coincidence 7) As I listen... I pray some semblance of intelligence will occur.... 8) Am tempted to try to get through the caller police just to to say...GO AWAY!!! 9) I have lived 58 years .. and never have I seen such an amazing joke perpetuated on the listening public 10) what do u think???

I was an avid listener of coast for many years. From Art to Michael, back to Art, to Noory. Ian has always been a great host. I don't even listen to coast any more. It became rote, predictable, boring and uninspired. It will never be what it once was. It seems to break nothing new, it is a rehash of the artifacts of a dying civilization founded by the brilliant Art Bell. My regards to anyone who likes the show today. You have no idea how good the show was in the golden age of Art Bell. This show, at one time, was just plain amazing.

Noory is terrible. He massacres the language. He said a volcano in the Philipines had "a major erection, with more to come!". He refered to the Shroud of Turin as "The Shroud of Urine" on multiple occasions. He often calls guest by multiple names during the interview. He once introduced a guest as having been "fatally stabbed". In short, George Noory is a moron. He has NO business being on the radio. How can a fool like this adequately explore the paranormal, political issues and science? He can't. He relies heavily on his producer to prescreen callers and they only allow the craziest or drunkest people on. Noory has no respect for the show, his audience or himself. He is a walking, talking joke. He never reads the books his guests write. He never prepares for a show. He uses the same pat questions everytime, and if he gets in trouble, he asks if the guest believes in angels. If George becomes aware of his stupidity, he takes out his frustration on his pre screened callers and hangs up... Read more

I stopped listening to George Noory after his last interview with Starfire Tor. Anybody who claims to have hard evidence of a discovery, yet fails to actually say what that evidence is or offer any glimpse at all should be thrown to the wolves when it comes to an interview. George Noory should have sent her packing with her tail between her legs with really thorough and tough interview questions. Not George though, he brought a whiffle ball to a major league game. Have a book to sell and want an easy platform to pitch it? George Noory! He's your guy!

George Noory stinks on ice. Art Bell will always be the king of late night talk and I love it when he fills in. No matter how long Art is away from radio, he never seems to lose his touch.

    Wed Jan 06 2010

I agree with so many of the other listeners. I do not listen to George Noory any more, only to Ian Punnett and Art. George Noory has a set list of questions in front of him that he continues to ask the guests, no matter what they have just said. The questions don't make sense and George asks them anyway. The guest will say something interesting and instead of skillfully getting the guest to expound on the idea, George goes to his next inane question. It is like he is not even listening to the guest at all! He has to go, I would take any other host, but I like Ian Punnett the best, he has better, more interesting guests and challenges them more, especially if their ideas are sort of far out. Wish we listeners had more influence, the show is loosing me. I am a streamlink listener but only listen to Ian or Art. Please save this show before we loose it completely! My local radio station only has 2 hours on now, they used to have 4, too sad! Get rid of this Idiot George Noory!!

1 star for goerge Goerge Noory is using the coast to coast to coast show to become slimebaugh light. A M talk radio is after all the breading ground for hateful bitter men. It is so sad that coast to coast became a fear place for the boys to just keep being boys. Sickened I'm just wanting to not listen any more and so thankfully I will not. .

I used to LOVE George Noory (and still do, to be honest)...I thought he was the best host the show had. And I LOVE Coast To Coast AM! (and still do, to be honest). I used to hate Art Bell (I thought he was a cranky old skeptic who was rude, and I was disgusted the way he married a young Phillipino chick just months after his beloved wife died). I used to hate Ian Punnett (his studdering drove me mad, and despised how he thought he was so clever...and don't get me started how he will argue with a guest - like a dog with a bone - to make a small point that only he cares about, so that he can make himself feel smart...and his impatience was annoying.) But guess what??? After 6+ years of listening to Coast, I have completely flip-flopped! I hate to admit it, but what people are saying on this website is absolutely TRUE. Wow, what an eye-opener! I feel like I've been so naive. Noory (God love him), does seem unprepared, murders common words, asks some "odd" questions, and everything el... Read more

Have you ever seen a more vacant look than that on the mug of Snoory? It is totally beyond me how this fool was allowed to step into Art Bell's shoes. What a total shame. It was, for the most part, a good show. Art at least had intelligent questions most of the time, even if he did tend to put skepticism too far aside from time to time. Snoory, on the other hand, wouldn't know skepticism if it jumped up and booted him in his tumeric-eating, oversized butt.

I've rated George's hosting as high as "OK" only because of the entertainment value. His relatively few scientifically CREDIBLE guests (like Seth Shostak, Michio Kaku) are far outnumbered by the FLAKES -- Linda Moulton Howe, Richard C. Hoagland, etc. I don't think George Noory is stupid. Anyone with an I.Q. above 80 knows that most of the stuff on the show is nonsense. George goes along, without criticizing, solely to enhance his standing with the "believers" and maintain his marketability for all of the lucrative far-out conferences that he gets invited to. And if he dwelled point-by-point on the truthfulness and rationality of each guest, there would eventually be no willing guests left besides Michio and Seth. Also, I turn my radio OFF whenever "open line" segments begin. Most callers take forever to ask their question, and most of their questions and comments aren't worth hearing. I'd rather listen to a guest who is crazy than an open line session ! ! Art Bell is the best... Read more

To put it simply: George is the reason I stopped listening to Coast To Coast AM radio... There was a limit to the amount of aggravated mental torture that I was exposed to while listening to this "nice man"... I can see he tries... but either his staged stupidity that may be just a comfortable disguise for his boyish coward or his "clever" air of pretend "political innocence" (a la "...please don't be angry with me Big and Mean Shadow Government -- for I pose no threat to you... for I, obviously, I have no brains to see your true agenda... or guts to point it out, even if I see it") -- whatever it is -- his style of presentation may be appropriate for 5 year olds or Sesame Street, but can hardly be seriously considered for intelligent adults... I guess after "THEY" destroyed Art Bell "THEY" ingeniously pushed forward this mediocrity to spoil whatever was left of the show... Smart move, gentlemen -- replaced "The Hero" with "A Joker"... Smart move...

I am a long time listener of Coast To Coast AM. I fell in love with the show back when the superb Art Bell was the host. Now for the first time in so many years I have decided I will no longer listen if George Noory is hosting. In a nutshell George Noory is the worst host this show has ever seen. Noory must be aware he is losing ground and destroying the classic radio show, so now his plan to save his job is to turn Coast To Coast into a typical copy-cat conservative, rightwing fanatic show. People should notice how this guy operates and his gradual move towards themes similar to Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh and all the rest of that pathetic gang who manage to control talk radio. George Noory must go if Coast to Coast is going to save itself from total disaster. Anyone would be better than George Noory. I hope management wises up and dumps him before forever losing audience. Noory is turning right-wing nutcase to try and save the show. That is the fanatic disinformation nut case type: g... Read more

I feel like I am living in a Kafka novel where everyone except me thinks this guy is a good talk show host. He is terrible. Why can't the management see that? As for the people who comment that this moron is a good host, they must be asleep. In any event, the only good that has come of this is that since Art left the show I have spent more time dating and now have had a few girlfriends.....this probably would not have been the case had Art still been on.

George Noory, Is a very special compassionate person and it hurts my soul to read some of the awful reviews that people write. It makes me wonder just what kind of individuals take their time to write such awful comments...Perhaps they need to get a better way of life. I along with millions of others wait patiently ever night for the C2C music to come on. George, you are doing a fantastic job...don't let those loosers get you down...for each bad review you have millions of other listeners behind you....we are all different....thank God for that.

    Sun Sep 20 2009

Noory has dropped the overall appeal of the C2C show. His infantile comments and grade 3 level questions to any guest in the scientific realm is down right embarrassing. Once an astrophysicist, with diplomas up the wazoo, was explaining the trajectory and effects of near Earth asteroids, and Noory asks the question,'..what would happen if an asteroid 1000 miles wide were to hit the Earth?'. Needless to say there was a pause before the guest politely replied, "well, an object that size would obviously cause total destruction...but if we take a smaller object, say the size of a house..." I mean if you're a child that's ok to ask, but if you're to be a host on a major radio show that deals with subjects like science, you should be able to ask a more calculated question then that. On another occasion, a caller suggested that if there's not that much oil left in the world , that the US should invade countries to take the oil back to the states and fill the strategic reserves,...and Noory ... The show is rubbish anymore. When Art Bell was host you got hard core science and UFO stuff. Now it's almost all powderpuff subjects like angels, numerology/astrology, "celebrity" interviews, dream interpretation, ghost crap, prophesies, mayan calendar/"2012" this and "2012" that. Noory does not seem to be very intelligent and he doesn't ask critical questions of his guests like Art Bell would. If the producers are smart they'll get rid of Noory in favor of either George Knapp, or John Lear or someone like them. I only listen when Knapp is hosting and the rare times when Art himself decides to host. BTW: Screening calls sucks and its totally against what Art Bell did. The spirit of the show has been compromised. This show went from a sort of "Real Life X-Files" to a a real joke.

It bothers me that the lowest rating I could give George Noory is one star because he deserves negative 100. Premrad is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. He must come cheap and you get what you pay for. He always sounds like it is his first week on the air. He has to go.

This is an arrogant host that contradicts himself time after time. He encourages people to e-mail him, which I have done many times but too no avail as he cannot even respond to any of my questions or comments regarding the guests and topics! This show is a shadow of what it was when the great Art Bell was the host, and will only improve when fans of the show start tuning out and e-mailing the producers to tell them why we are not listening anymore. C2C use to be a nightly tradition for me and my friends, as we would gather by the radio and listen every night to the great topics/guests that graced the show. Lately it is a rehash of guests that agree with Noory and provide him with openings to show his intelligence(?). The weekend shows are better then the weekday shows, and the best shows are when Art Bell does his guest spots, which are far too few in number. This show is nothing but a money grab as listeners are encouraged to pay to listen to podcasts, pay for newsletters, pay to lis... Read more

    Sat Jan 10 2009

George is unbearable. I'd never have believed it but, since my last review a year or two back, he's gotten even worse...consistently. This has nothing whatsoever to do with show topics. A good interviewer can make ANYTHING interesting. Case-in-point, Ian Punnett.            Ian can take any mundane topic and find a way to make it interesting be it through wit, perspective, analysis, insight, basic intelligence, etc. George has none of these. George is a nice guy....and that's about it.            I think he appeals to people who simply appreciate "nice guys". That's enough for some...and I get that. But it's not enough for the majority of the intellectual listeners out there who want to stimulate their brains a little. How much longer can this go on? For the love of all that is good and holy, bring Ian on FULL TIME! Hell, bring on George Knapp. I'd even take Richard C. Hoagland, heaven help us.

George Noory is such a terrible radio host that he has cut Art's listener's in half. According to Arbitron ratings, Art used to have 10 million listeners every week. Noory just about breaks 3 million. I don't know why he is still on the air. He has dumbed down the show to the point where it is barely unlistenable.
