A TRAITOR. The only good thing he did while in office was to sign a bill that required women be included in drug trails. Only because his mother died of cancer. He lined his pockets giving technology to China, which in turn sold to North Koren and Iran. THE only time he balanced the budget was by closing massive numbers of military bases, reducing Navy and reducing number of military units. He did a lot of harm to country. Lets face it, what kind of guy thinks getting a BJ in oval office is cool?Warped

Clinton qualifies as a genius for suckering the american people into voting for him twice and for putting up with the pantsuit lesbian pitbull he calls a wife

Probably overrated by his supporters and certainly demonized by his critics who still can't wrap their little heads around the idea that our culture did not want to tear down a president over a BJ. . .and this shrewd redneck was (as much as it pains me to admit it) one sharp guy.

I think he's probably very intelligent. He was a Rhodes Scholar. The only reason I don't give him a 5 is because he often thought with his $$*! and got himself into stupid situations.

Extremely bright, together with Nixon probably the smartest presidents of the second half of the 20th century. Having said that, high intelligence does not necessarily mean a good president.

There hasn't been a President with as quick a mind and as skilled in the public forum since Richard Nixon.

rolled back on women's rights with his stance on abortion. rolled back on the lower classes with his stance on welfare. being a member of the democratic party means corporations owned him. off the previous point, he had very poor environmental policy. the one thing i can think of that he wanted to do that could have been progressive (but still wasn't much) was his plan to apologize for slavery. but he didn't even go through with that. he expanded the military. most presidents do this, but because it's a standard doesn't mean it shouldn't be looked down upon. by other people's standards he may be the smartest person alive. by mine, he's a little more on the other end.

Clinton really truly is smart, the only people who do not think so are people in the Ku Klux Klan

Just to be voted into office twice takes some form of intelligence. I'm not a dem or rep but instead an American so not prejudice by that reason in my voting. He made a fool of himself and also some poor decisions about Bosnia and dealing with Osama so not a genius. He was a people person that had charm and carisma, I'll give him that. Look at Bush's dad and him are buddies now. I wish him the best with his health but not a very smart guy when it came to choices he made in office.

Probably one of the most brilliant men of our times, too bad his legacy as a President will be marred by his bad judgement when it came to sex. I have heard he has a photographic memory, and of course he was a Rhodes scholar, just a shame he can't handle his excesses, maybe now that he has gotten his food habit under control, he can tame that other wild beast and become a true statesman! Here's looking and hoping Bill!

Extrememly bright and likeable but a loose cannon. He needs a firm hand, but who would be able to handle him?

High intelligence doesn't equal good judgment.

Those of you who know me know I am not a fan of Clinton's politics, and to be honest I think less of his character. However, the number of stories I've heard about this man's intelligence has exceeded really anyone I've ever heard of. I've talked to a number of people who had the opportunity to talk to him in person and their descriptions of his intelligence were all the same: remarkable. I am reminded of an engineering student who was talking to him about their studies and commented that they were studying calculus, to which he asked if the student had started integration yet. Now, this is a basic step in the study of calculus, but how many people who haven't had a calculus class in the last 25 years (part of which has been spent running the country) could recall that bit of information. Very intelligent, but also well thought-out and a hard worker. Clinton saw the "Shades of Gray" in an issue, a clear example of high intelligence. He was able to examine an issue from a variety of perspectives and think about outcomes and approaches that factored in a number of variables. He was also a hard worker who was astute. Clinton was the sort of President who read material given to him and often was up late at night watching CNN or reading to gain further insight on an issue , oftentimes before it was formally addressed to him. Clinton was also a great public speaker.

Whatever else you think of him, his IQ is probably off the scale.

No one can realistically argue that this man was not intelligent. I believe he's a borderline genius. That having been said, let me point out what the United Negro College Fund has been telling us for years: A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

For all of his foibles and all of his lack of character and his lack of being able to tell the truth or his inability to be faithful to his wife, he is an extremely bright man and an adroit speaker.

Morally bereft,but a bright guy nonetheless.

To get where he is, he has to be at least somewhat bright. Vexingly, though, he does have a perchance of becoming incredibly deficient while smoking cigars.
