Citizens Bank Park is so much better than Veterans Stadium that it is hard to be critical. It is a very good park inside. Good sight lines, the very cool double deck bull pens. The variety of angles in the outfield make a interesting view. Each entrance is a bit different and well done. A walk around the whole park is worth the time. Nice views of far away downtown from inside the park. The concourse and walkways are filled with plenty of Phillies history. The scoreboard placement makes it a little difficult to see from the 3rd base side, and it is very high. The mascot(s) might be the best in baseball. We had pretty good food, but beware of the chili fries. . The major bad part is that the sea of asphalt setting is extremely ugly (outside) and getting out of the stadium parking lots is a disaster. Almost as bad as Miller Park.

Veterans Stadium was a comfortable and clean place to watch baseball but it was a cookie cutter. You know the personality challenged stadiums of the 1970's.The Vet was losing its 1970's beauty and Citizens Bank Park is a nice improvement.

CBP is an excellent ballpark with evry amenity one could want. The only drawback to the new Phillies home is its awful location in South Philadelphia. This park would have been the best in baseball if they had moved it closer to center city.

Very nice and clean, be it the ballpark or the employees, who are top notch. Thank goodness the city of Philadelphia does not own this place. If they did, it would go to pot like the Vet did. My only problems are that the dimensions are goofy and small. In a few years, we will be bored out of our skulls watching 9-1 ballgames coupled with the Phillies lameness and mediocrity.

Clean. Nice. Decent food and the seats provide a good view. But I hate how the ballpark is a hitter's paradise. It also loses one star because it feels trendy in a Jacob's-Field-Camden-Yards-wanna-be way.

Not a ballpark feel. Cramped, and when you get to the outfield and look at the tower of stands, it just feels really tight, in a bad way. And the seats up top are really bad, they dont make it easy to get there.

Got a chance to visit the park a couple of days ago. Whereas the old Veterans Stadium had the ambience of a gas station men's room on I-95, Citizens may be one of the nicest of all the new stadiums. It really is a beautiful ballpark, kind of in the mold of Camden Yards. I enjoyed Ashburn's Alley, a concourse of souveneir stands and great eateries like Geno's Steaks and Tony Luke's (legendary in Philly for it's Roast Pork sammiches). Seating is comfortable and spacious with convenient cup holders. Though we sat fairly high up (Section 313), we had an excellent view of the field and a great view of the Philly skyline. I would say that the only thing that was below standards was the quality of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team that was playing on this majestic field.

Beautiful park, very fun and friendly atmosphere. Although not in center city, it has an open outfield which gives a great veiw of downtown for those sitting in the upper deck.

This is a very nice new stadium. The Phillies really needed it because Veteran's Stadium was a disgrace.

The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is it's location. Although there was little chance of a downtown ballpark being bult in Philly it still would have been nice, all in all it is cozy and has good sight lines, short food lines, but no sky line. It is also not pretensiously gaudy in its attempt to look cutesy or retro like some other stadiums.

Looks like it was designed by an architect that does high schools or convenience stores. No charm at all. Sound like they brought the sound system for the Vet.

One of the best looking and friendly parks in the league. This is one of the top 5 ballparks in the league.
