Its pretty much ok when it is fresh..I like the location in Greenspoint (Houston,tx) right off Beltway 8..Chicken is usually fresh and the biscuits are very good..The Church's on Airline at Tidwell is a complete disaster, chicken is nasty and soggy and tasted like it had been in the store for days and served to customers so it would not get thrown away!!!..I make it my duty not to eat at places where the whole staff are Mexican people because usually they are not very sanitary when it comes to food.

We use to enjoy churches but after our experience today at the Church's on Westmoreland in Dallas, Tx, it made me realize that I need to start cooking at home more. The service was horrible. The food that was served looked like it had been sitting there for days. Some people were getting free items. The fries had been sitting under a light and they were not hot. The manager refused to give our money back when it was requested. We will not return there. They must be under new management, because the food food was terrible and the service was terrible. We will never go there again. I was a Church's lover, but I'm not anymore.

I discovered Church's Fried Chicken the day I returned to San Antonio, TX from an overseas assignment with the U.S. Air Force. That was in March, 1966. Since that day, Church's is the only fried chicken for me. Whenever I visit a new town, I look for a Church's. No Church's? No fried chicken! I'm a leg man...drumsticks and thighs are the only way to go. There is no comparison. Church's is lightly seasoned, cooked to a golden brown, juicy and flavorful. Even the other pieces, juicy. I try to have at least one napkin for each piece of chicken (I wear my chicken well). On top of the quality and flavor is the price...it's the best for less than the "competition".

They offer the best bang for your buck, as far as prices go, the best value. Taste wise, they are good, but not great.

I have been going to Churchs and it has always been great. Who ever is saying someone cooked a mouse by mistake a Churchs doe"s not know what he is talking about, a mouse does not like fried food.

Church's is really good. While they seem to have withdrawn from this market, I enjoy their food when I'm in Texas.

The local store is constantly shorting the cole slaw in the containers by as much as 20%, they may have a slight shortage but not that much, even the mashed potatos are bing shorted in this store. I have been going to various stores of theirs 85 - 290 mile radius, a couple of others do the same thing but not as consistantly as this one. when I went in to get what the manager promised me as a "make good" I had to "get into a fighting mood" to get what he promised me, an argument is routine here. What is their web page the on on the side of their boxes comes up but will not allow contact, consistantly says session is timed out. JUST ABOUT HAD WITH THESE PEOPLE!!

I think that this is one hell of a good idea. Serving chicken in church is brilliant, if you ask me. We could eat in lieu of the sermon.

The food is good here. These guys, are in my opinion, up and comming. Give them time to grow. The service still has a little to be desired. But, the food and prices are good.

We recently ate at Churches on E. Sycamore View Road in Memphis, Tennessee. I waited for twenty minutes (with others going in front of us that came in later than we did). The order was wrong and the TINY bits of chicken that we received was not worth the wait nor the effort. The service was shotty and rude. If this is the way you do business, I can't see why you are still in business. KFC now has our business. My review is -20. Marilyn Clark Memphis Tennessee

I went to Church's here in Columbia SC for a quick supper for my family. Besides, we love Church's chicken. The young lady working at the counter was rude to the point of hostility. People were having to wait and wait so long for their food that many just left. After waiting for my order for almost 45 minutes and repeatedly being told it was coming, I found out that Mizz Personality had thrown my order in the trash. I still had my receipt and it was to the point that some customers were demanding that I get my order before they would accept theirs. After an hour I finally got my order and it was wrong. Twice. I called and spoke with somebody at their customer service line and that's the last I have heard. Needless to say, if I want chicken, I'll go to anywhere but Church's.

My experience with Churchs chicken on December 11, 2007 was horrible for me and my son was a diseaster, we became very very ill, This churchs is located on Terry parkway, in Terrytown, Louisiana. I was out of work for 3 days, my son could not afford to go to the doctor, and he is suffering to this day. I would like a number to call or to write someone regarding this situation. We were vomiting, diarrhea, dizzy spells, and my son is suffering with hemmorhoids. I has been confirmed through my doctor that this was food poisoing. please get in touch with us. Please feel free to email me go give me of a phone number that I can call, or an address. To this day I still can not eat a normal diet. This is really terrible, and to be honest with you this is not my first getting sick off of churchs chicken, and this is one of the reasons why this time I decided to let someone know something. I would have to give them a rating of 0 at this time. I called the restaurant to speak to som... Read more

I wish I could give this resturant a -0. The Churches resturant located on 19185 I-45 in Shenandoah, Texas is an absolute nightmare. They are so unprofessional and ignorant that it just turns my stomach. I grew up eating Churches chicken and after my experience at this location I don't think that I will ever eat Churches again due to the fact that the location listed above is the closest one to my home

Really tasty greasy chicken. Too bad the workers are so clueless on how to correct their errors. Many of them, including the manager(s), where I live need to learn to operate their machinery (computer/cash register).

Start thinking about who you want to exclude in your will if you are an afficionado of this nonsense. Fried chicken establishments are pretty common in the South and here in Indianapolis. I don't mind it once in a blue moon. I grew up in Dorchester MA, Boston's biggest residential section, which for all intents and purposes is, overall, sorta/ roughly like a slice of say Queens or Astoria in NYC. One of these deathtraps opened up on Dorchester Ave, and the initial curiosity that greets any new restaurant lasted about an hour. Again, there just aren't a hell of a lot of KFC's and the like there. I think the place shut down about a month later. Grotesque, I think it's chopped monster flesh covered in two year old flour and boiled in anteater blood. Avoid this like you would try to avoid a vial of bubonic plague.

Decent chicken...just bring some type of protection for self defense. Most Church's are in some really bad urban pits.

The best fried chicken, along with fried okra, this is much better than KFC, I'm suprised more people don't like it. Great sides like corn on the cob as well.

they used to have this chain in Canada and then some woman found a full mouse deep fried onto a piece of chicken. They suffered badly after that. It was only comparable to KFC at the time and thats not saying much.
