This is one of the funniest Christmas movies I have seen. It is great for the whole family to see. I would tell everyone to buy this movies for their home entertainment library.

I had bought this video wore it out and had to buy another one. Family and friends loved it also. Just good, clean hilarious Christmas humor. And of course Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis are just perfect together.

Don't waist your money on this one. Jamie Lee curtis is a big disapointment in this one. This was not her best acting and Tim Allen was just a bit better. You will be disapointed in getting this one. The book Skipping Christmas was much much better and much funnier. They should have gotten different actors for these two charactors. Just not believable. Dan Aykroyd did much better in his part.

Of course this genre is meant to inflect the sometimes "hustle and bustle" holiday season with laughter and humor, but this flick was a bit irritating. The premise was funny enough-a couple trying to spice things up, in the face of their daughter's absence during a trip to another country. But the film is monotonous and the script a bit campy. All actors do a fine job with the material given, but aside from the scene where the cruise tickets are given to the elderly couple across the street, the film lacks the genuine sentiments of other holiday films (such as "The Holday" and others). This does not have a hgh rewatchability factor for me, and I typically like holiday films. Give it a "rent" if you like the type.

I think any person can enjoy a Tim Allen movie. A good family classic. Check it out!

I really enjoy Jamie Lee Curtis, and Tim Allen but even they could not quite pull it off in this, there were some funny parts, like when jamie lee's character gets locked out of the tanning bed room or something like that, but it seemed she mostly shreeked and over acted throughout the whole movie.I mean who goes crazy and hides from the neighbors just because you choose to not decorate your yard?

a 2.5. for the most part this is pretty dumb and so predictable. Jamie Lee Curtis makes it worth watching at least. A couple the Kranks who have always been big time Christmas people decide to skip Chirstmas this year because their grown daughter has left the home and is in another country. the husband in particular to skip Christmas and take a cruise instead. his reluctant wife goes along. The Neighbors when finding out the Kranks are skipping Christmas have a mega fit and do everything to get them to change their minds. this is kind of dumb since what is it to them if a neighbor skips Christmas and do not put up decorations.? i know our neighbors would care less if we skipped Christmas. WEll the daughter calls at the last minute and decides she in coming home after all with her new fiance. now of course they have to scramble to get a Christmas and their traditional Christmas party put together for their daughter. the neighbors pitch in and help blahblah blah! the nicest part of the ... This is probably one of my favorite Christmas movies now just because of all of the hilarity. The tanning scene is so priceless!

Very funny. Not as good as the book, but it was still done very well.

I was bored, looking for a quick laugh. I didn't find any laughs with this movie. Recycled plots, poor direction. And the cinema had a 15 minute rule. If you walk out in the first 15 minutes you get your money back. I didn't know this. I walked out after about 20 minutes of this movie. Don't waste your time or money with the Kranks...

We saw this the other night, and it was mostly a disappointment. I usually love comedy, but this movie had pushy obnoxious neighbors and rude family members from beginning to end, and that's never much fun to watch. However, it did turn into a really great date with my wife, which is ultimately what matters in these situations.

The best movie I've seen all year. After losing my Mom last year and these being the first holidays without her, this movie made me laugh. It's an A+ in my book. Bah Hum Bug to those that don't like it.
