    We got the 9 foot strand of lights in Amber for Halloween decorating. We aren't quite ready to get our house all ready for Halloween, so we tested out these lights inside. We plugged them in and turned off all the lights. Then we made spooky noises as my daughter squealed with delight. She is so anxious to hang these outside and start the fun. I promised we could hang them up on the first day of October. We might as well celebrate for as long as we can! I was impressed with the lights. The color was very vibrant and glowed a true Amber. I was worried they would look Christmasy, but with the color they definitely looked like Halloween lights and I think they will look awesome with jack-o-lanterns by their side. These lights are very affordable and would make a great addition to your Halloween decor! These lights are also available in multi-color, clear, and red/green for the Christmas season.

    This place brings out the Grinch in me for sure. I ordered from this company back in August 2011 for what was to be a Christmas gift. After one phone call from them in early September to let me know my order had been back ordered and was to be shipped the first week of November 2011, customer service has been pretty much non-existent. Emails (at least 6) and phone calls (1) have remained unreturned - one customer rep said she would get back to me. It's December 17 and I am still waiting for both my order and/or a response from customer service. Save your time and money and shop elsewhere, I know I will be. Update: On December 19 I finally heard back from customer service and was told that due to "an issue with our computer system in submitting your order" it never shipped and I am wondering if it ever even made it into the system. Very disappointing.

    I placed an order over the phone that was on backorder. It arrived yesterday and we hung all the lights today. We started from scratch and the girl on the phone guided us through everything. Great service, and have bookmarked for after Christmas sales! Our pics are going on Facebook tonight!

    DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Their customer service is at the least HORRIBLE! We ordered 2 snowflakes from this company! Surprisingly got them very quickly, HOWEVER, one of the snowflakes was broken and the other wouldn't even work!! We immideately called customer service, which upon answering put my husband on hold for 16 minutes!! Only to tell us that we would be responsible for a 15% re-stock fee, even though, it wasn't our fault the items were received damaged!!! What a racket this company is!!!! Needless to say we will NEVER, EVER order from Christmas Lights Etc. again!!! My advise... Get it together!! Unfortunately I had to rate this company 1 star because it wouldn't let me give negative stars!!!

    DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !! more than 2 months ago I ordered 3 items from this company. They never shipped any of the items, but charged by credit card for the full amount!!! When I called and berated them, they finally shipped one of the items aI ordered. After contacting them repeadely over the following 4 weeks, they assured me each and every time they were "shipping my order that evening" Each time THEY LIED They repeatedly lied to me about the status of my order - repeatedly told me they were shipping the missing portions (2 of 3 packages) - and finally told me tonight they were out of stock - so sorry - we have had so many orders we make mistakes!!! All the while they have had MY MONEY earning them interest. Save your money and your health - SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE !     Placed order on Nov 16 at 1:44 am as their website states if ordered by 9:00 am, it would ship out same day! Well for my order, that didn't happen!! They called at 5:33 pm on Nov 16 to let me know that one item (brick clips) were not in stock. I asked if they could still ship and they stated no. Told me the order would ship on Nov 17. Website states that when order ships, they would e-mail tracking number. So evening of Nov 17 I called to make sure my order shipped, man on phone said it had and that night when the hub updates I would get my e-mail. Nov 18, no e-mail, so I e-mail their customer service to ask. Nov 19, no return e-mail and still no tracking number., so I called. Lady stated that they are busy with other customers (guess I'm not a customer) and stated that their warehouse has the order but their system still did not show a tracking number.     3 stars ** Although the tree is very pretty, as I was setting it up 5 small branches broke off!! I could not get the lights from the middle of the tree to connect to the top of the tree as the cord is to short. The lights on the bottom ½ of the tree are very bright and pretty, to bad I can't connect the top. I was to receive a "free" Christmas tree bag with my tree by including a special code on my order form. I included the code - no tree bag. This Could all be handled if "Christmas Lights Etc." would return one of my three phone calls or my e-mail message. I have Yet to hear from them! Not to happy in wilton

    Overall, the ChristmasLightsEtc.com is a user friendly website, sometimes slow to change from one page to the next, and they offer an excellent variety of merchandise. The one issue I found to be a problem was that using discount coupon codes is restricted to credit card purchases only. Why, it is not available for PayPal payments is unknown. Yet what is most frustrating is that there is no mention of this restriction in either the coupon code email or on their website. I only found out by calling them on the phone and the person I talked to seemed quite indifferent about the problem. Also, customers should be aware that if they have previously paid via PayPal and wish to use a discount coupon code, they must first go to the "My Account" page and change their payment type from PayPal to a credit card. The payment system "remembers" that the customer used PayPal and retains that choice until changed on the "My Account" page. This condition is likewise not mentioned on the Checkou... Read more
