Crosses the line between personal perspectives and hard news reporting. Willing to stretch the truth and obscure her biases

While I am a Republican, I can't deny that she has an uncanny ability to report conflicts around the world that very few possess. Pro: She puts you in the middle of whatever she is reporting and doesn't sugar coat the topic at hand. Con: She does tend to lean to the liberal side when she reports and her looks leave something to be desired (like a paper bag maybe). Overall she'll go down in history at one of the best journalists of our time.

I take that back.  I just googled her name and she looks like a total dog. incredibly ugly.  Confused her with someone else.

Run to the medicine cabinet, Americans, when this one is doing a broadcast. You will need that dramamine! You know that sea-sickness medication. Her accent & voice will make you feel like you are on a raft during a tsunami. Actually, when she was covering the tsunami on CNN, her voice & accent, not the footage, gave me sea-sickness. Awful woman!

I haven't seen her much lately, but I was always intrigued by her. Her father was Iranian, and her mother was English, I believe. She grew up in Iran during the regime of the Shah, but they had to flee in 1979 when the Shah left the country. She definitely made her mark on CNN.

The Bush administration tried to kill her, so she's OBVIOUSLY a good reporter.

The greatest of all!!!!!! I hope my homeland of England is treating you well. Christiane is a great role model for all students of broadcasting, particularly the female students. Great work Christiane.

Christiane Amanpour could be nothing else BUT a newscaster. She's phenomenal, and obviously well-educated, well-read, and well-informed.

Unlike most TV news personalities, she actually appears to be a journalist.

Between knowledge and contacts, she can get to the bottom of most stories.

Really good. Top notch stuff. This is what I like. Remember her parka from the Sarajevo days? Or the purple makeup from a report on Sofia, Bulgaria? She looked really sexy. Once saw her in a black dress with high heels on, really sexy. She should have her own show on CNN. Top of the line! Great going. Wild woman.

Liberal bias: loves Kerry, hates Bush. Would stoop to Dan Ratheresque depths of unethical behavior, if she had an audience.

Ms. Amanpour is a true paragon of Iranian grandeur, courage, talent and knowlege. CNN's perfect choice for Chief International Correspodent. Namdarn and Bakhtiar are other great Iranians.

I can't tell if she doesn't know her stuff or if she is just biased against Jews and Israel. She obviously is Pro-Palestinian and reports the murders of Jews in Israel as if they are insignificant. Jews are people, too.

Considered a top reporter. I've met her, because I worked in the same bureau she did in the mid-to-late 1980's. Frankly I think she's NOT NICE. Of course, her reporting and her personality are exclusive of one another. However, I find her altogether unappealing.

Christiane is the best. Do the people that rate these reporters and anchors NOT know what they're talking about or what!!!!?? Do you want fluff and corresponents who only want face time or do you want someone who actually knows what she's talking about? If you want to know what's really going on in the world try LISTENING to her, she's really good. If you want fluff, keep watching FOX.

I think she's one of CNN's best correspondents. How in the world she (and Aaron Brown) scored so low on this list is beyond me.

She's just the best. Incredible that she's down here at the bottom with Katie Couric. Too bad so many folks who use this list think that the propaganda Fox puts out as "news" is the real thing. Go back to sleep, America, the world is moving off without us.

Last on the list? Behind the mindless drones at Fox? COME ON PEOPLE! This fine lady risks her life, leaves her family and goes to area Geraldo can only dream of. If she is last on the list news has hit an all time low.
