As Thomas Edison was quoted as saying, the health care of the future will require no use for drugs or surgery. Chiropractic is it;s own worst enemy as long as they let graduates from Life and Sherman college practice with the original subluxation theory.Easily put, if it didn't help, work or was dangerous, it would be stepped on and eliminated by the most powerful lobby in the world aside from the NRA., the drug companies. That with the supportive and consistent research (Rand Study) among dozens of others, proves its efficacy and safety over any other form of NMS care.

The idea of someone else moving my bones is just not very appealing. The other thing is they are kind of like a drug, once you start you can never stop because you always need to be readjusted.

I have had 3 back surgeries. I was in more pain each time I had surgery. I thought I was going to be confined to a life of pain. My son went to a local chiropractor and talked me into trying it for myself. I felt I had nothing left to lose. I have been to over 20 medical doctors and this chiropractor did a more complete exam on me than any medical doctor ever. After my exam he looked over my films and ordered more MRI's and a discography. When the results came back he told me in detail what was going on and how he could help me. After about 8 adjustments my pain is less than a 1. I now go twice a year for a checkup. I cant say enough good things about chiropractic. Funny thing is I went to my orthopedic surgeon for my check up and told him my success with chiropractic and he said sometimes it really works. I am living proof. Brad Carrol Huntsville Alabama

The basic theory of chiropractic is that subluxations are the cause of most medical problems. A subluxation is a misalignment of the spine that allegedly interferes with nerve signals from the brain. Chiropractors think that by adjusting the misalignments they can thereby restore the nerve signals and cure health problems. This theory was first propounded in 1895 by D.D. Palmer, a grocer from Davenport, Iowa. There is little scientific evidence to support the theory. Most support for the theory comes from testimonials of people who claim to have been helped by chiropractic. Whether they were helped because nerves were unblocked is not always that clear. Most of these have been people with back pain that has been alleviated by spinal manipulation. This is not to say that chiropractors don't help people with aching backs, including people with chronic back problems. It is the theory of subluxations that has not been supported by scientific studies. A good massage often gives short ... Read more

Has limited uses. At best I suppose it's no worse than a good massage. But most practitioners are quacks and chartlatanswho claim to cure everything from migraines to cancer. On a par with phrenology and numerology.
