Cherries aren't very good. Most cherries I've tried are actually really sour. The only cherries I like are those in soy ice cream!

Love these too. Reminds me of going to my aunt's in the summer and picking her trees so she could make every form of cherry desserts.

This is one of my favorite fruits. Rainier cherries can be some of the most delicate, sweet, and expensive cherries on the market. There are many varieties of sweet cherries, but the biggest drawback is the cost of these delights.

My rating is for candy cherries, the bright neon red kind you get in beverages. They taste incredible! Regular cherries, however, taste a bit sour and are on the pricy side.

A nice bowl of cherries during the summer really hits the spot. I don't like cocktail cherries that much, but fresh cherries are the best.

Absolutely wonderful, and while I love most fruits, this is one of my favorites. A delightful crunchiness and amazing sweetness awaits all that try this fruit, and while its texture certainly is crunchy, it still retains its signature texture of flesh, much like that of a fresh plum. Choose a fruit with dark color when choosing the bing( black or red) variety, and you can rarely go wrong when buying rainier (the yellow and gold type). Rainier cherries still offer the fresh crispness of texture, while its sweetness is definitely dimmed down slightly, while retaining a fresh, unique flavor which many enjoy most furtively. It tastes more "clean", and has a frangrance all of its own, and you can rarely go wrong when picking these. Always choose fruit of a very strong flesh (squeeze the fruit to check for any softness). If there is any softness, don't purchase it. Should you want a softer cherry, you can allow it to ripen for a few days; they will be much fresher, and stay fresher longer th... Read more

I think cherries are a bit overrated, but they're sweet and can add a lot if used properly. And yes, maraschino cherries are very nice...

Eaten fresh, these are probably slightly better than strawberries in my opinion, and get my vote for favorite berry-like fruit. Not as overwelmingly sweet as strawberries, this is a sort of "darker" berry. They have a great semi-sweet flavor to them that tastes... good! Also, cherries can taste great in cherry pie!

I really like these. The artificial flavors can be good, but not always. Cherry pie can be tasty, but if it's got too much of that syrupy cherry filling stuff, you can count me out. I prefer the fresh ones even with the pits, but be careful not to eat to many, or you'll be attacked by indigestion.
