HORRIBLE site. I have used others and was considering Chemistry.com so I setup a free ID. Since, I have been receiving e-mails telling me "Someone nearby is ready to meet me" or "Someone in MY TOWN wants to get to know me better" urging me to check the site again. Every time, there is either NO ONE or the person in question is in another state, NOT nearby or anywhere near my city. Apparently, these are tricks to get you to pay for a membership.. glad I didn't fall for them!

I wish I had seen these other reviews before I blew my money on this site.

I agree... Save your money--This site is not worth it.

I've been a member for a week and am unhappy with Chemistry.com. I responded to eight matches, got rejected by one and haven't heard from the other seven at all. FYI, one of my chemistry.com matches had contacted me on a free dating site the week before I joined to chat. I'm wondering if she is even a member of chemistry.com or if her profile is one of match.com's.

I tried chemistry.com and based on my experience save your money. There really isn't much to this site. I saw the tv ads too and gave it a shot. I started with the trial that is advertised, filled the extensive personality test but didn't get far before I got a page blocking me from fully using the site without subscribing. The site doesn't let you see what you are getting until you subscribe. So I did. I gave it a whirl and did the $99 three month membership. I was presented with 5 potential matches. There is a slider bar where you indicate your level of interest for each match and then the site contacts them to see if the first impression is mutual to allow you to go to the questions phase or if the match should be archived. So far this was all well and good except there was more than a little bs going on. According to "Dr Fisher" there are 4 personality categories. Each person has a major and minor personality category depending on your answers to the test. When potent... Read more

My sentiments about this site echo the other reviewers. I've been on chemistry.com for about three weeks now, requested contact with about 30 people, only three of whom ever responded back. Worse yet, there's no way to tell whether the people who did not respond were simply not interested, or could not respond because they were not paying members. I am literally left hanging. This site is a waste of time and money.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! This site is very cleverly designed to actually trick you into thinking you can communicate at will with your matches, not so, you are forced to answer their questions not your matches, you are only given 5 matches every 24 HOURS!!! and most of them don't have pictures as they are FAKE profiles. It is a HUGE hassle trying to get rid of unwanted matches, 4 PAGES/STEPS before you can even return back to your matches. Their Dr Helen says rubbish is a bunch of store info that just pops up and eventually says the same damn thing over and over. It takes forever to even communicate in your won way with an interested party, Waste of time & money.
