I only have one thing against CBS and that is the mockery called CSI. So thank you CBS for the nonreturnable gift that is CSI and it's spin offs.

Other than Survivor, I can't think of anything on CBS that I care to watch in prime time. I'm still a Letterman fan, even though I don't get to watch his show that often anymore. On the power of those two, I'll crank it up to a 3.

CBS, wow there is a lot to say there, why do these desperate networks result to reality TV, stick to good wholesome shows, JOE MILLIONAIRE is crap, THE BACHELOR is crap, all these shows are terrible. I wouldn't watch any of this if someone held a gun to my head. Hopefully someone in a higher up position will get this message and realize there are intelligent people in this world and are not easily entertained like your idealist at your networks. Do some extensive research and see how many people HATE your reality TV, i'd rather watch the news!

Years later, I'm still sore and bitter at the Tiffany Network over its *stupid* decision to cancel Dr.Quinn, Medicine Woman. Dr.Quinn was wholesome show the entire family could enjoy. On top of that, it ruled the ratings on Saturday nights alongside Walker, Texas Ranger. Nevertheless, Dr.Quinn was cancelled to make way for crap like Martial Law that we're SUPPOSED to attract even better ratings. Now, CBS has the CSI bug and seems intent on milking its popularity to the last drop. Hmmm. More CSI spin-offs in the works I've heard? No thanks. We have enough crime/police dramas. We need more shows like Dr.Quinn!

I finally understan why most people who give CBS a one star and they say how bad CSI: is and stuff, well probably for people as stupid they can't even stay along with the show.

Jeez, CBS! Lay OFF the crime shows! JAG can occasionally be interesting, but the others--yuck. CSI is the worst offender, not only being second-rate compared to Diagnosis Murder or Law & Order, but CSI is guilty of overflowing with graphic violence, nudity, profanity, and sexual content. CBS's current sitcoms (now that Becker is cancelled) are just plain dead, with no life in them. And, this is the station that showed I Love Lucy in the fifties, The Beverly Hillbillies in the sixties, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show in the seventies?

Why would you have a MTV type program for half time?? Everything that happens stops at CBS's door. As much as I love The Price is Right and Andy Griffin--no more on CBS.I will used my money to vote also.

There was a time that I thought CBS lacked serious entertainment, however it seems it is one of the few networks out there that actually has more than 2 good sitcoms. While they are not as good as the WB, CBS certainly comes in a close second out of the television networks. And as for all of this hogwash surrounding the Super Bowl halftime show...get real. While I also don't feel it is appropriate for children to see nudity on television, in this particular incident, it was NOT the fault of CBS...so get a grip and go watch PBS...where you whiners belong...

To the sudden flurry of one time reviewers writing in with their knickers in a twist about the Super Bowl half-time show, let me ask you this: When did this site turn into the corporate headquarters of CBS? As if the suits there give a damn what the hoi-polloi say on Rateitall. Please go waste your time somewhere else.

I would like to say something positive about Super Bowl half-times. Not what they are, but what they could be. My idea of a thrilling show is when thousands of youth get to sing or dance or play instruments with extreme coordination and excellence. I want to stand in awe at the quality, the rehearsal time, the sheer numbers. I do not want close-ups of singers I can see at a moments notice on MTV, but the kind of group movement and sound that can only happen at a major event like this. High Schools and College youth are already doing the ground work in hundreds of hours of practice for marching band field shows, dance teams, drill, choir, and ROTC. Added effects of this kind of show are the boost in confidence we get when we are reminded about the skills that youth can achieve, and of course the chance-of-a-lifetime that each participant experiences. Something positive about this year the dance movements of the bands and the all too brief rhythms laid down by a great drum-line. ... Read more

Feb.4th, 2004 Management of CBS, I was appalled and shocked that your network would allow such a wanton display of sex and violence by Janet and Justin during primetime with all the children watching the super bowl. I had a lot of explaining to do to my family of children. I will no longer watch CBS. I firmly believe that Janet and Justin should be banned from appearing at the Grammys. There should be some ramifications to their obnoxious behavior. You have lost a family of CBS watchers. In addition, the singer who held his private was in such bad taste. You may have won over the MTV crowd but lost alot of stable, good old boys. Elaine Jaeger Flemington, New Jersey

With the alternative broadcasting available, I assure you that my family will NOT tune to CBS for any future viewing. What type of sleaze half time show did you idiots expect from from such no-talent producers. As long as greed prevails, I am sure that sex, violence, homosexuality, and the potrayal of men as complete idiots will continue to drive brainless executives and the public can expect more of the same trash to be palmed off as entertainment.

Earlier this year CBS and the other networks complained that their ratings were low and questioned the Nielson Ratings...it's the programming that's the problem, not the raters. The Half-Time Show and ridiculous commercials during the Super Bowl are just further examples (especially the ads for men and their sexual dysfunction...it's not appropriate for TV.

It's time to say enough! We did not watch it the first time, but news channels have been airing it over and over. My child did not watch it, but guess what they're talking about at school? Whatever happened to the family hour?

Half time was a disgrace. The entire show was degenerate and decadent. Nelly and Aerosmith were as despicable as Janet's breast. CBS should be ashamed. Another case of CBS being irresponsible.

I was at the super bowl. On Monday all I heard on CBS was the 1/2 time show and the streaker. I am a Carolina fan. I didn't hear CBS taking about how great the game was. I think that should have gotten more coverage. I'm not saying that it wasn't talked about. It just wasn't when i was watching the news.

If you only had a few channels you could wach all the time, wouldn't CBS be one of them? I think it's great. Best soaps (Y&R, B&B), all kinds of good sitcoms, news anchors and talk shows and games - love it.

CBS went really stagnant in the late 80s-early 90s but they've come a long way these past several years. With programs like CSI, and their whole Monday night line up, you can't lose.

This is the all-time classic TV network that has brought us wonderful programs like The Jackie Gleason Show, The Honeymooners, All In the Family, M*A*S*H, Alice, as well as another long running sitcom The Jeffersons. The network has also brought us classic fantasy-adventure shows like Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, and The Dukes of Hazzard, all enjoyed by young viewers in the late '70s to early '80s. And don't forget about Telly "Who Loves Ya Baby" Savalas as Kojak, and J.R. Ewing as the unscrupulous oil king in Dallas. 60 Minutes has always been around and the best of all of the news magazine shows. And when this network was struggling, they gave NBC and their irritating sitcom Friends a kick in the mouth when they introduced the everpopular game show Survivor which has overpovered the goofy Lisa Kudrow and the childish David Spade on Must see Thursday, an NBC stronghold for nearly 20 years. I also like some of CBS new sitcoms like Raymond and Becker, and "Walker Texas Ranger"... Read more
