This food was recommended to me by a store owner who stocks very high quality dog foods and this is what he feeds his own dogs. I love that there are both chicken (whole food) and chicken meal (high protein) as the first 2 ingredients, followed by 3) OG brown rice, 4) OG peas, and 5) OG millet. Some people argue that the whole chicken has no value in the food, but I like that it adds the benefits of the whole chicken. It does have good quality grains, but my dog does fine with them. For many foods, if they don't have rice, they have potato as a filler anyway. There are no nasty fillers, and with the protein at 26%, it seems like it will work well for us. While I prefer to shop at small stores, Organix is stocked at Petco and Wholefoods which is convenient and I can use coupons when the budget gets tight. I believe this is a really great food and we are very pleased with our dogs coat and energy! 5 stars!

I have noticed normally when it comes to organic dog food that they are never very meaty. But this looks to be one of the better organic type foods out there. Still a little grain heavy though.

I adopted a starving, tick infested, diarrhea beyond belief, sensitive to food, 4 month old puppy. I feed her the dry Organix dog food. She is 15 months old now, and shiny, happy, playful, and healthy. It was one of the only dog foods I could feed her, that did not give her diarrhea. Her foster mother, who probably saved her life, was cooking a whole chicken for her and her two sisters, and mixing it with rice, to try and stem the problem. That helped, but she did not have them for that long, so when I got her, I had to figure out what to do. Since I work, I didn't want to cook a chicken every other day. I think because she was starved, (she was going to be put down the next day at the county shelter, so I guess they didn't think they had to feed her), she is sensitive to food. Though she loves crunchy veggies and fruits also. She loves this dog food, and so do I, (not that I eat it)!

Great. Our Bernese loves this food. Can't wait until meal time.

Our beautiful big yellow lab Pal for years shed white hair like a snowstorm. We started feeding him the ORGANIX adult formula, and within weeks the piles of hair in the corners started disappearing -- and it wasn't because we improved our housecleaning. His fur and skin look great. Plus, there aren't a bunch of fillers, and Pal seems to get more nutrition out of the food -- our yard-cleaning chores have become . . . what's the best way to put this . . . a lot less messy! Really a great food!
