Carls Jr. the way I remember it was my favorite place to go. I remember being about 12 years old when I was first introduced to their famous Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Well time has passed, and Carls ain't what it used to be. My last experience their I ordered my food to go. Got home maybe 8 minutes later. Criscut fries were not hot, a little warm if anything. So I heated them up, no big deal. Here's where you just want to cry. This burger literally looked like somebody stepped on it a few times before they served it. It was mashed together in such a way that I can't even describe. My first bite into it said it all, nothing was fresh. I could taste the burger as if it had been cooked earlier in the day and was just sitting in the warmer for several hours. It was awful, the flavor of the bbq sauce isn't as good as I remember it. The bread was flavor less like most of the burger because as I said. Nothing was fresh. Essentially the burger ultimately filled the void in my stomach and no... Read more

Carls Jr in Littleton, CO approx Broadway and Mineral. Went there for lunch with friends and coupons. I wanted to use the coupn for their chicken wraps - $1.00 ea. The person at the counter said I could only get one wrap for a $1.00. To which I said, where does it say that on this coupon? She had no clue how to answer my question. But we had more coupons so I ordered two wraps, a small fry and a small drink. With the coupons the total exceeded the cost of the exact same order that was a combo. I asked the clerk what good was their coupon, again silence was the response. Ordered the chicken wrap combo anyway due to pure convience of the moment. The actaul chicken was probably the size of a fish stick, and overall the meal sucked. I won't be heading back to Carl's JR anytime soon.

0 stars Very disappointed with my lunch today at Carls jrs. Restaurant on Jacinto in sacramento I wanted to try the new chicken strips, they looked nothing like the picture, they were not freshly made, in fact they weren"t even hot, they must have been prepared sometime earlier , the same with the fries, when I came into the restaurant , I saw several orders of fries sitting in the fry holder, my order of fries came from those. They were not hot at all. I requested the bold and spicy bbq sauce, it was the same sauce you put on the western burger. I can say the only good thing about my lunch was the ice tea tasted good.. I don't think I will be going back, sorry to say, and thought you should know these things. Vickie Turner 7636 pine Valley Drive Sacramento, Ca. 95828

Carl's Jr. located at 9021 Valley Blvd., Rosemead, CA 91770 Tel: 626 292 1507 I noticed there was a A restaurant rating on the entrance of this fast food place. However, it was such a bad experience to buy 7 breakfast for my co-workers this morning at the Car's Jr. The cashier went back to the kitchen after receiving the cash from me and worked with the other lady helper making my breakfast without wearing gloves. They both using fingers (not fork) to pick up fried ham, egg, cheese from the pen and slap it on the bun. It was messy after I opened it the wrap and I couldn't give this ugly pack to anyone to eat. The Corporate Center of Carl's Jr should investigate this kind of behavier and do some improvement otherwise this would destroy of your reputation and business.

It's ok. Their menu items are good and somewhat affordable. Because of their low cost marketing strategy, I see them trying to become the "Taco Bell" of the burger chains.

THE LESSER OF ALL EVILS, I GUESS. I'm a healthy, organic eater. But the rest of my family is not. When my family says “NO!” to the only other fast food place I'll go (Scrubway), they know it's Carl's Jr. for the Original Grilled chicken salad or the Charbroiled BBQ chicken sandwich. I'm not happy that they changed the tomatoes to wedges in the salad; I liked the cherry tomatoes better. It's my candy. I’m happy they added better greens to the iceberg. Some locations give the croutons, some not. It doesn't matter to me because I don't eat the croutons anyways, but I feel if they're going to jip me a nickel, then I should pay a nickel less for the salad. The house (ranch) dressing, I barely use, if any, but there's plenty. My bad experiences the last 2 years are; I had to exchange a salad once in Hemet, CA (lettuce was old & the lady had an “issue” with me wanting a replacement). I got diarrhea from the Big Bear Lake, CA location. I had the chicken sandwich, but I did take a b... Read more

Really like the .99 cent ranch bacon burgers. Will never eat or buy any other cheeseburger again in my life unless they improve this one, perfect meat to bun ratio and white cheese OMG. And an onion ring YUM. The ranch and onion ring with white cheese flavor is an amazing combo. And just 99 cents! I almost always choose any kind of white cheese over yellow thats just my taste. Really hope they dont stop making this one its a good value. If they made like a 5 dollar small burger I would pay more. Its unrealistic for ladies to over eat on huge steak-burgers like Carl's Jr commercials show, some of us dont like to risk getting messy when we eat food or have a hard time even taking a bite of a burger so wide. I find it difficult to chew and swallow the 5 dollar burgers. Its not a realistic portrayal for some of us ladies with smaller mouths. But if you can handle it good for you, I wish I could eat them because atleast I would have more flavors to choose from. But that annoy... Read more

I was enjoying their 99cents vegi burgers initially, now they don't offer the same, Although they have increased the prices, still they don't provide vegi patties in between burgers instead of beef patties, for vegi lovers it is a Gr8 disappointment. Hope they include the veggi patty instead of beef patty like in subway.

The new Steak Sandwich is dissapointing.  I won't bother to order it again. The sandwich is way smaller in person than the ads on TV show and meat is just strange, flavored with a pepper sauce.  Not a good choice.

In Short Since opening its first diner in the 1940s, this restaurant has developed into one of the most popular West Coast franchises, claiming industry innovations such as the drive-through window, partial-service dining rooms and their iconic Six Dollar Burgers--a line of oversized, sit-down restaurant-style hamburgers with Angus patties. Other hearty options abound, including steak-and-egg breakfast burritos, crispy chicken sandwiches and chili cheese fries to supplement standbys like onion rings and shoestring potatoes.

I like their food, but I don't go there anymore. I won't give any of my money to the people who took over the company, which was made to be family-oriented, and trashed it up with their commercials, etc.

They have great burgers! I love the western burger- the one with the onion rings and BBQ sauce on it. Thier fry's arent the best but they are okay. They do however put way to much ice in there drinks if you go through the drive up! They told me one time that it was because they wanted it to be icy and refreshing. I think that they just wanted to save a little money on the soda.

I tend to avoid fast food chains these days, a burger from this joint which back in the days when I had an iron stomach I use to love Carl's Jr. now gives me heartburn (not trying to sound too old here), heartburn that will make you scream. Especially the double cheeseburger with onions rings and barbeque sauce, good if you can stomach it.

today drive thru took forever!!!! and when I finally got it my sandwich was cold! I ordered a kids meal for my daughter, chicken stars, fries & milk, the bag said "happy star Toddler Toy" the toy was two old cracked balloons. Definitely not something you'd give a two year old, besides the fact that they had holes in them! Couldn't the guy just as easily said "sorry we're out of toddler toys", I actually saw him putting the balloons in the bag but I didn't realize what they were until I pulled away. I will not be going back, ever.

The place is the exact same as Hardee's on the east coast. Same burgers, same names, same logos. So if Carl's rules, so does Hardee's. lol I wonder who owns who? Hardee's has been around forever, but so has Carl's jr. They must have merged at some point.

this place is interesting, they obviously put a little more effort into their burgers, for example, when you get a burger with pickles on it, they are sweet pickles, as opposed to dill, which is usually a welcome change from most burgers, I also enjoy their french toast dips breakfast combo, a really tasty time saver provided the drive-thru line is short

The $6 burger is very good when purchased from some Carl's Jr. locations but definitely not from all of them. When done right, it's well worth the $4.

Just having a burger that is char-broiled over grilled gives Carl's the edge. Quality is on the upswing, and our local store is always clean with good service. The ad agency that Carl's uses should watch a few of the Jack-in-the-Box ad's and put a more positive approach on their TV promotions. Probably the most distasteful advertising I have seen on TV. The $6 burger does live up to its hype.

Carls Jr. was once a gem of a Hamburger Joint, Growing up in Southern California, I know so much about Carls. I remember eating at Carls or as I call it CJ's, It was a great place to eat, The service was friendly, the food was fresh, the burgers were char-broiled (not fried like McD'S) and I loved most everything about CJ's. During the Mid-to late 90's a lot of change came to Carls Jr. It all started with the hardcore "IN YOUR FACE" Slogan, then it followed the Acquisition of Hardees, And now, the restaurant I once considered burger heaven has now taken a 360 degree turn for the worse. The Service is slow and the employees can't speak a lick of english, The presentation stinks and Most importantly The Food Now really sucks and It's not fresh. If I were you I would Avoid CJ's and go elsewhere.

Carl's exemplifies almost everything wrong with fast food burgers. Its only saving grace is that it is usually (relatively) fresh. But bad food is bad food, whether it is fresh, or not.

I don't know why people don't like Carls Jr compared to other fast food places! I think they've been going to the wrong ones! I've been to SO many Carls Jr's whether by my house, at a friends house, or on a road trip up and down California! Food has NEVER been cold, and it's totally fabulous! It's not even as greasy compared to Mcdonalds or Jack in the Box! They give HUGE burgers, so it's totally fulfilling!! Their fries aren't the best, but I'm TOTALLY giving them credit for their burgers! Everything they put in it is SOO good! I can't have a 'western bacon cheeseburger' here nearly as good if I tried to get something similar to it at McDonalds, jack in the box or even Burger King!
