As the mother of the bride, this was my second experience with Carl Alan Creations. My first (in 2005 )was exceptional. I was thrilled to be going through the process again with my younger daughter. I knew that Carl & staff would help her create her perfect bouquets. We were not disappointed. Carl designs a plan to fit your needs & works to make it fit your budget. He assembles hundreds of flowers in the colors you request. Then comes the fun part...you choose your flowers & his wonderful staff starts assembling the arrangements. In the end, my daughter got EXACTLY the look she wanted...it's as though they read her mind! We were thrilled! I can not say enough good things about this whole experience. Carl is a very special individual. His staff is professional & extremely talented. They work to meet your budget. Their knowledge & advise is invaluable. And we know her flowers will be beautiful on her wedding day, just as they were for her sister.

We chose Carl Alan as our florist for our June 2009 wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Admittedly, flowers were not that important to me at first. However, after seeing my bouquet and the reception room, I changed my mind. The flowers were a wonderful touch to an already perfect day! Carl Alan staff are friendly, professional and reliable. On my consultation visit, the staff prepared several flower arrangements (bouquets and centerpieces) for me based on pictures I had sent them as well as my personal preferences/suggestions. There was no obligation to hire them. I got to see exactly what I was going to get, and there was no pressure! Cal Shaw said "if I can't make you happy, there's no obligation to buy." The original arrangements were above my price range so Cal Shaw worked with me to bring down the cost while still having centerpieces that I loved. Carl Alan provided flowers for our June 2009 wedding at the Crystal Tea Room. Our experience with Carl and his team couldn't possibly have been any better, and we would highly highly highly recommend him to anyone who wants gorgeous flowers presented by a florist who genuinely cares about making the bride and groom happy. Carl's level of service is unparalleled and never waned through the entire planning process, even after we signed a contract to work with him. As an example of this, he invited us to view our flowers the day before the wedding and allowed (even encouraged) us to change around some of the flowers in the bride's bouquet because he sensed we were having a nagging feeling about them. I used Carl Alan as my florist for my January 2009 wedding. We started working with Cal in the summer of 2008, after receiving 3 glowing recommendations from friends. I visited other florists, but Cal had the best prices, hands down. In addition to that, Cal and his team gave me 2-3 (free!) sessions in which they put together sample bouquets and centerpieces. No other florist would do this for me and Cal did it more than once. His staff spent probably 4-5 hours with us before the wedding on samples. Cal was always very focused on what I wanted and my happiness. The day of the wedding, he did not disappoint! My bouquets were beautiful (even more so than the samples!) and our centerpieces were exactly what we wanted! The flowers and chuppah for the ceremony were also amazing... we didn't see these before the ceremony and we were very pleased. I highly recommend Cal and his team! They were professional, polite and incredibly easy to work with!!

People told me picking a florist would be the hardest part of planning a wedding. But when I met Cal Shaw he made my choice very easy. His work from start to finish was exceptional. He will help you design anythig exactly the way you want it and take pictures for you to have incase you want to change anything before the big day and his motto is "NO PROBLEM". My wedding was truly the best day I have ever had. My flowers showed up on time and they were exactly what I wanted. The church looked elegant and the reception was breathtaking -everything I could have wished for. Cal, Kate and all of the Carl Alan staff are very kind and helpful!!! As many of my friends and family members would tell you, I had a dream since I was a little girl that I would have the most dreamy Christmas wedding you could ever imagine. There would be huge arrangements of white flowers, Christmas trees, candles everywhere, and a red bouquet that would put any other arrangement that I have ever seen to shame. I knew that making this dream come true would not be easy, but when I got engaged over a year ago, I was determined to make it happen. Working with Cal Shaw at Carl Alan Creations was WONDERFUL. If you want personalized treatment, the most gorgeous flowers and over 40 years of expertise - GO TO CARL ALAN CREATIONS! Cal did our wedding in September at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Philadelphia. The flowers were absolute perfection. We asked Cal to design a hanging, "floating" chuppah that was suspended from the Ritz's enormous crystal grand-ballroom chandelier. We really had no idea what the final product would look like - but it was amazing - absolutely breathtaking. Cal had come very highly recommended by close friends - but his work exceeded all expectations and we were nothing but happy.

Carl Alan Creations came very highly recommended from several of my girlfriends in the city who used them for their daughters Weddings. I have been attending Philadelphia and NY Weddings for what seems like forever, and I must say that what CARL ALAN did for us was far and away more beautiful than anything I've seen. We hired Carl Alan to do the flowers for my August 2008 Wedding at Meadowlands County Club in Blue Bell. Let me please tell you, besides my Gown, the FLOWERS WERE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PART of my Wedding. Classy, Beautiful, and so Elegant! Cal and his team are so professional and wonderful to work with. For our recent October wedding, we hired Carl Alan Creations to design the floral arrangements, and they were beautiful. We had a lot of confidence in this florist since several friends, as well as my brother, all used Carl Alan Creations for their wedding flowers, and raved about his work. During the first appointment, Cal (the owner) and Kate (our designer) spent several hours with me and my sister, working to create the perfect sample bouquets and centerpieces. Kate was incredibly patient as I studied all the options, and offered very helpful suggestions when I was uncertain. At the end of the first appointment, Kate gave me and my sister some flowers from the sample centerpiece to take home. It was 4 months before our wedding and we still didn't have a florist. My now husband and I sat with other florists & decorators during hour long consultations and still didn't get what we were looking for after we received their proposals. When we went to our tasting, Carl Alan Creations was the florist on-site. Cal had designed a sample centerpiece that was exactly what I was looking for. We made an appointment and he was able to work with us hand-ons, and put together our ideal center piece in price & colors. At our appointment, there was no BS, we told him what we wanted, he gave us our total price in 30 minutes then we went next store and created our bridesmaids bouquets, my bouquet, and our centerpieces. We were delighted with the consultation process with Carl Alan Creations and book them the next day. Cal was with us every step of the way and made us go into our big day with ease and no worries. Okay first off the guy Carl got on my last nerve. I mean let me start you off. I went in for a consultation and the office he sat me in was so dirty. I mean the administrative assistant desk was clean and she looked like she tried to keep the office clean with smell goods but no matter how clean it was it still was going to be a mess. I sat at a table that was in between two dirty refrigerators and a loud generator booming in my ears from the refrigerators. So the meeting began when he pulled out my file, I told him what I wanted and what I didn't want. Then he approach me with the b-s. He started by saying, "if you were my niece and if this was a perfect world." So besides Carl hitting me with b-s about "if I was his niece" he spits every time he talks. I think that is horrible. My husband and I used Carl Alan for our April 2008 wedding, and were blown away by his professionalism, creativity, and understanding. My actual proposal containted pictures of what my arrangements were going to look like. The flowers were absolutely the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Guests are still talking about them. The team had many hours of elaborate setup for my wedding, and completed the task with ease. The staff was on time, and remarkably friendly. I was even allowed to come into the shop the day before my wedding for a sneak peak. Carl Alan's staff had to stay on site throughout my ceremony in order to transform the room to be reception ready, and they did an incredible job. I got a phone call the next morning from the studio to make sure I was satisfied with the previous day. Do not even waste your time with any other florists!!!

We just had my daughter's wedding at the Hyatt Penn's Landing in Phila. When I first new that I was going to be planning a wedding, my biggest anxiety was what I was going to do for the flowers, knowing that I have no talent for flower arrangements or any ideas about the different varieties of flowers. From the very first moment I got in touch with Cal, I knew my anxieties would be gone. Even before our first contact, he had my daughter e mail her vision of what her wedding should look like, along with the colors that she wanted. So Cal and his team provided the amazing flowers, centerpieces, and trees for our wedding in 2007. the bouquets were stunning and far exceeded my wildest imagination. His team was an absolute joy to work with and I really felt comfortable in their workshop over the may many hours that we spent designing the flowers. fast foward to April 2008. What should arrive on the day of my first anniversary was a glorious exact replica of my wedding bouquet. I cried then - and could cry now - but it was the most magnificent gift (kudos to the DH) but when I went in the next day to thank Cal, he let me know that he searched high and low for the James Story lillies and found them ! and the poppies! ah! it was wonderful. I loved, loved, loved my wedding flowers and I have Cal and co to thank. I got married in May at the Sofitel. Cal and friends were the second florist my sister and I visited. He immediately welcomed us, joked we were his long lost nieces, and then took careful notes while I tried to put into words how I wanted my wedding to look. (Apparently, you can't just say, "I want it to be beautiful.") While planning my wedding I met with a lot of florist. None actually made my vision come true. And none of them took the time to listen and really understand what I wanted on the most special day of my life. I was frustrated and a bit panicked. My Fiance and I found Carl Alan Creations after a number of disappointments with other florists in the area. Our wedding was now just 1 month away! When I spoke to Carl over the phone, he put me at ease, and I just knew in my heart that this would be the florist for us. He sounded very down to earth. After meeting him, our only regret was not finding him sooner. Carl told me on the phone to email him - letting him know what flowers I liked, what colors, etc. and any other info that would be helpful. When we arrived, he had everything ready for us! Carl Alan Creations Ltd. came highly recommended by the Westin Hotel Philadelphia. They said "he will be perfect for you". And he was. I knew I liked Cal from our very first phone conversation. He said "I will do anything you need, in any way, in any price range, nothing is too small. I will make you happy." A that he and his wonderful staff did, this past weekend. Our new daughter-in-law was extremely happy too. She knows flowers and met with a number of florists and knew Cal was the florist for her wedding. Cal Shaw is a creative genius and a total sweetheart. His staff are equally talented and professional, and he oversees a first class operation. Carl Alan Creations recently provided all of the flowers for my July 16 wedding. Their prices were very reasonable, and the quality was exceptional. Cal was extremely patient throughout the planning process, created multiple samples and proposals for me free of charge (including one prior to booking his company). He was never pushy and stuck within my budget. We had a large order (a 20-person bridal party, bride, groom, parents, 30 centerpieces, chuppah, side arrangements, etc.), and it was fulfilled exactly as promised and exactly on time. Wehn I called, I got both Carl and his brother, and they could not have been kinder, more helpful, or more accomdating! I am so pleased with the help they gave me in trying to get flowers to a friend on very short notice, and the care and concern they took to make sure that what was sent was fresh, beautiful, nicely arranged, and reasonably priced.
